Frequently Asked Questions
How do I operate the unit? Your unit has been set to run continuously at an adequate ventilation level for your home during installation. The system should not be switched off. However, during activities like cooking or bathing, the humidity/moisture levels in your home may rise. In such cases, your unit has the functionality to increase its extract rates. A switch may have been installed in the bathroom or kitchenarea, allowing you to manually boost the extract rates if needed. To increase the extract rates manually, set the switch to “boost” and turn it back off when you are ready to resume normal operation.
What is humidity adjustment? Humidity adjustment is an internal setting available only on MEVECO-H units. These units are equipped with an internal humidity sensor. When higher humidity levels are detected, the unit will automatically boost its extract rate and return to the set extract rate once the required humidity level is reached.
What maintenance is required? The MEV-ECO unit is designed to run continuously and should not be turned off. The air valves can be carefully cleaned, ensuring they are not disturbed as they have been set to the correct extract rate for your property.
