DESIGN TECHNIQUES
GLOW IN THE DARK FABRIC: The wings and the eye of the unicorn glow in the dark! Keep the plush under the sun for a while or use a ashlight (from a phone or another light source) on the fabric. Then go in a dark room or turn off the light : the unicorn glows in the dark!
- Prepare your work space by putting down some newsprint or cardboard to protect your table or counter. The airbrush marker colours are washable, but may stain certain surfaces or skin.
- Practice using your airbrush on paper before starting to decorate your plush pet.
USING THE AIRBRUSH PLUSH SET:
Insert batteries into the airbrush. Adult Assistance required. Use a phillips
screwdriver to remove the screw to open the battery compartment. Insert 2 X
1.5V AA batteries. Then replace the screw to close the battery compartment.|
Switch the button to turn on. Note, when not using always switch to the “off”
position.| Select your rst colour and remove the cap. Insert the airbrush
marker into the hole. Turn the felt slightly for optimal use. Be sure to push
in all the way to make a seal for proper air ow. You can practice spraying on
paper
before applying colour to your character.
Hold the gun about 0.5 in (1.2 cm) away from your plush pet. Aim the nozzle
where you wish to apply colur. You can use with or without the stick-on
stencils to create difierent patterns or blended colour efiects! After using
markers put the cap back on.
Tips : Clean the nozzle when you want to use another marker colour. When you
change colour, before spraying ink on the plush, spray it for a few
seconds on a piece of paper because you may have ink residue of your previous
colour that mixes with the new colour.| Apply the reusable stick-on stencils
to create designs or patterns. See below for design ideas.| As you use your
airbrush longer the marker tips will become dry from the
air ow. Turn offthe airbrush and remove the marker. Dip the tip of the
marker into a small amount of clean water to moisten it. Gently dab the
marker tip onto a paper towel to catch any excess water drips. Then insert the
marker back into the airbrush.
The stick-on stencils are reusable. After your colours are dry you can remove
the stick-on stencils and return them to the sheet.
Keep your gloves on while removing in case any are still wet.| DRYING:
IMPORTANT!
Let the colour dry thoroughly. To avoid smearing colour or transferring colour
to skin or surfaces, do not touch the plush pet until it is fully dry. The dry
time may vary depending on how much colour was applied and the humidity
conditions. This may take up to 24 hours. Check if dry by touching a small
area rst.| WASHING :
You can wash your plush pet to make new designs! Ask for adult assistance.
SINK: Hand wash under cool running water until all the airbrush colour comes
out. Or, Squeeze out excess water. Let dry fully before decorating.
MACHINE WASH: Wash separately in cold water.
USING STICK-ON STENCILS:
There are 2 types of stick-on stencils for creating coloured shapes and white
shapes!
Coloured Stencil Shape!
Remove
the stick-on stencil from the sheet. Remove the interior shapes and then stick
onto the plush pet. Aim the airbrush at the cut-out shapes.
Keep the tip about 0.5 in (1.2 cm) from the surface while spraying.
White Masking Shape!
Remove the
stick-on stencil from the sheet. Stick onto the plush pet.
Aim the airbrush tip around the edges of the shape. Keep the airbrush tip
about 0.5 in (1.2 cm) away from the surface while spraying.
IMPORTANT TIPS:
- After using, remove the airbrush marker from the gun. Replace the marker cap. For best results store the airbrush markers flat or with the cap side pointing down.
- If the airbrush marker tip seems dry, put a small drop of water on the felt tip and place the tip downward for a few minutes.
- If the airbrush nozzle becomes clogged or drippy, clean the nozzle with a paper towel.
- Always switch off the airbrush when not in use. Remove the batteries if you do not plan to use it for an extended period of time.
- Never aim the nozzle or spray towards eyes, mouth or body. The airbrush markers are not to be used on kin.
- If colours accidentally transfer onto your hands or skin wash normally with soap and water right away.
- For use with Airbrush Plush™ airbrush markers only. Colourants are a unique formula for washability and use on the plush pet. The markers included are specifically sized to properly fit and seal within the airbrush.
STAIN ADVISEMENT:
Airbrush colours may stain certain surfaces. Do not use the airbrush near carpeting, furniture, wood, or surfaces that are not washable or may easily stain. Avoid touching the colours while wet. Be careful to not rub or transfer colours onto other surfaces while wet. Wait until the colours are fully dry before handling.
WARNINGS! Not suitable for children under 36 months. Small parts. Choking hazard. Remove all elements and packaging parts before giving the toy to your child (example: plastic clips). Wash hands after use! Needs 2 batteries 1,5V AA (not included). Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. Only batteries of the size and type indicated are to be used. Do not mix standard and rechargeable batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. Do not dispose of batteries in re. They may leak or explode. Do not throw batteries away but dispose of as household chemical waste. Please use the local recycling collection points provided.
