The CRS112-8P-4S-IN is a MikroTik device that requires an upgrade to RouterOS v6.49.5 or the latest version to comply with local authority regulations. Quick Guide – CRS112-8P-4S-IN

  1. Connect your computer to the device.
  2. Download the configuration tool from https://mt.lv/winbox.
  3. Open the Neighbors tab in the configuration tool and connect to the device using the MAC address.
  4. The default username is “admin”, and there is no password by default (or check the user and wireless passwords on the sticker for some models).
  5. To update the device to the latest software version, download the latest RouterOS software from https://mikrotik.com/download.
  6. Choose MIPSBE packages and save them to your computer.
  7. Return to WinBox and upload the downloaded packages.
  8. Restart the device.

First steps:

  • Connect with your computer to the device;
  • Download the configuration tool https://mt.lv/winbox;
  • Open the Neighbors tab and connect to the device using MAC address;
  • The user name: admin, by default there is no password (or, for some models, check user and wireless passwords on the sticker);
  • To update the device to the latest software version download the latest RouterOS software from https://mikrotik.com/download;
  • Choose MIPSBE packages, and save them to your computer;
  • Return to the WinBox and upload downloaded packages;
  • Restart the device.
