Product Information

The BC05 is a clock produced by Braun. It is available in multiple languages, including English, Deutsch, Italiano, Nederlands, and Dansk. The clock features a snooze function, allowing the user to pause the alarm for approximately 5 minutes by pressing the green button labeled SNOOZE / LIGHT on top of the clock. Additionally, the clock has a light function that illuminates the dial for approximately 5 seconds when the same green button is pressed. The BC05 comes with a two-year warranty for material and manufacturing defects, excluding the battery. The warranty is valid in countries where the clock is officially sold. Please note that any damage to the glass cover is not covered by the warranty.

Product Usage Instructions

To use the snooze function, follow these steps:

  1. When the alarm goes off, press the green button labeled SNOOZE / LIGHT on top of the clock.
  2. This will pause the alarm for approximately 5 minutes.

To use the light function, follow these steps:

  1. Press the green button labeled SNOOZE / LIGHT on top of the clock.
  2. This will illuminate the dial for approximately 5 seconds.

WARNING! The BC05 clock is covered by the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive. Please do not discard it with normal household waste. Instead, take it to your local collection center for recycling. The clock also conforms to the EMC requirements as per council directive 2014/30/EU. Certain trademarks used in the product are licensed from the Procter & Gamble Company or its affiliates.

Battery precautions

  1. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
  2. Use only alkaline AA batteries of the same or equivalent type.
  3. Insert batteries with the correct polarity
  4. Keep batteries away from children.
  5. Dispose of exhausted batteries according to local legal requirements. Do not dispose of them by throwing away with normal household rubbish.
  6. Avoid short circuiting the contacts in the battery compartment and battery terminals.
  7. Remove batteries from the unit if it will not be used for a long period of time.
  8. Exhausted batteries should be removed from the battery compartment to prevent over-discharging, which can cause leakage and may cause damage to the clock.

Battery installation

  1. Remove the battery door.
  2. Insert 1x AA (1.5V) battery observing the correct polarity, as shown on the diagram. Only use alkaline batteries from a reputable brand.
  3. Replace battery door.

Time setting
Turn the TIME SETTING wheel on the back of the clock in the direction of the arrow until correct time is shown. Only turn in the direction of the arrow to avoid damaging the movement.

Alarm setting
Turn the ALARM SETTING wheel on the back of the clock in the direction of the arrow until the desired alarm time is shown. Only turn in the direction of the arrow to avoid damaging the movement.

Alarm function
To engage the alarm, slide the ALARM ON / OFF slider on the side of the clock up to the ALARM ON position, the red button on top of the clock will pop up. To disable the alarm, press the red button or push the ALARM ON / OFF slider down to the ALARM OFF position.

Snooze function
When the alarm is sounding, press the green SNOOZE / LIGHT button on top of the clock, which pauses the alarm for ~ 5 minutes.

Light function
Anytime, press the green SNOOZE / LIGHT button on top of the clock and the dial will be illuminated for ~ 5 seconds.

Guarantee

2 year guarantee against material and workmanship defects (except battery). The guarantee is valid in those countries where the clock is officially being sold.
Broken or cracked lens screens are not covered under the Guarantee.
