Front Latch Handle Adjustment
- Remove the plastic cover on the front latches and loosen the latch handle bolts.
- Reposition the latch handle forward or rearward, ensuring a minimum clearance of 2mm (.08 in) between the latch handle and the latch striker to prevent squeaks and rattles.
- Tighten the latch handle bolts once adjusted.

Chevrolet technicians adjusted every Corvette roof specific to each vehicle as
it left the assembly line. The same care must be taken for your new roof to
ensure years of enjoyment from your new purchase.

GM Service Method- (we strongly suggest you watch the video above to familiarize yourself with the installation procedures.)
To adjust the front latch handle perform the following steps:
- Remove the plastic cover on the front latches and loosen the latch handle bolts
- Reposition the latch handle forward or rearward. Maintain a minimum of 2mm (.08 in) clearance between the latch handle and the latch striker to avoid squeaks and rattles. Tighten bolts.
For major rear latch adjustment
- Remove the rear center trim panel. Refer to Trim panel replacement – rear roof bow in interior trim in GM shop manual
- Loosen the rear latch striker attaching bolts.
- Adjust the position of the latch striker.
- Tighten the striker and attach bolts to 10 N.m. (89 lb. in)
For front roof height adjustment to body and weatherstrip seal
- Remove the roof panel and slightly loosen the 10mm latch striker plate bolts
- Adjust the striker plate up or down to raise/lower the roof panel
- Tighten 10MM and attach bolts
For rear height adjustment to body and weatherstrip seal
- Remove the roof panel and slightly loosen the 10 mm rear receiver plate bolts.
- Adjust the receiver plates up or down to raise the lower roof panel
- Tighten 10mm attach bolts
Care & Maintenance- Treat your new roof as you would the rest of your vehicle’s exterior. Mild soap and water with a soft cloth work fine for normal cleaning. We DO NOT recommend paper towels! For protection, a non-abrasive liquid wax may be applied with a clean microfiber towel.
