Product Information
The Bottom-Mount Refrigerator is equipped with electronic or digital controls, depending on the model. It is important to read the appliance’s Owner’s Manual for important safety instructions before operating the refrigerator. The refrigerator should be properly installed according to the appliance’s Owner’s Manual.
The refrigerator has several features that enhance its functionality:
- Max Ice: This feature increases ice production during periods of heavy ice use. By pressing the Max Ice touchpad, the freezer temperature is set to the lowest setting. The Max Ice feature will automatically shut off after approximately 24 hours.
- Humidity Control: The Humidity Control feature reduces moisture on the door hinge seal by activating a heater. It is recommended to use this feature in humid environments or when moisture is noticed on the door hinge seal. However, it should be noted that the refrigerator consumes more energy when the Humidity Control is on. Press the Humidity Control touchpad to turn it on or off based on the environmental conditions.
- Temp Alarm: An alarm will sound if the freezer or refrigerator compartment temperatures exceed normal operating temperatures for an hour or more. The temperature displays will show both the current temperatures and the highest temperatures reached in the compartments. The Temp Alarm feature can be turned on or off by pressing the Temp Alarm touchpad.
- Door Alarm: The Door Alarm feature sounds a chime when the refrigerator door has been left open for 5 continuous minutes. The chime will continue until the door is closed or the Door Alarm feature is turned off. Press the Door Alarm touchpad to activate or deactivate this feature.
- Max Cool: The recommended settings for the refrigerator and freezer controls should be sufficient for normal household use. If the temperature is not at the desired level, it is advisable to check the air vents for any blockages before adjusting the controls.
