Product Usage Instructions

  1. Move Generator Outdoors:
    It is extremely dangerous to use the generator indoors. Carbon monoxide, a poisonous gas, is present in the generator exhaust. Never use the generator inside a home or garage, even if doors and windows are open. Only use the generator outside and far away from windows, doors, and vents.

  2. Add Engine Oil:

  3. Locate the Assembly section in the user manual.

  4. Find the Add Engine Oil subsection.

  5. Add engine oil recommended for the generator (5W-30).

  6. Do not overfill the oil capacity, which should not exceed 16.9 fl. oz. (500 ml).

  7. Add Fuel:

  8. Locate the Assembly section in the user manual.

  9. Find the Add Fuel subsection.

  10. Add either gasoline or propane (LPG) as fuel for the generator.

  11. If using gasoline, do not use E15 or E85 fuel.

  12. Manual Start (Gasoline Operation):

  13. Turn the fuel vent lever to the ON position.

  14. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the CHOKE position.

  15. Pull the recoil to start the engine.

  16. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the GASOLINE OPERATION position.

  17. Manual Start (Propane Operation):

  18. Open the propane tank valve.

  19. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the CHOKE position.

  20. Pull the recoil 3-5 times to prime the engine.

  21. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the PROPANE OPERATION position.

  22. Pull the recoil to start the engine.

  23. Connecting Electrical Loads:

  24. Refer to the Operation section in the user manual.

  25. Follow the instructions provided to connect electrical loads to the generator.

NOTICE

  • Keep all objects at least 5 feet (1.5 m) from generator. Heat from the muffler and exhaust gas can ignite combustible materials.

SET UP

  1. Add oil. ˜ Assembly > Add Engine Oil.
    Recommended: 5W-30, up to 16.9 fl. oz. (500 ml) DO NOT overfill.

  2. Move the generator outdoors.
    ONLY USE OUTSIDE AND FAR AWAY FROM WINDOWS, DOORS, AND VENTS.

  3. Add fuel – Gasoline or Propane (LPG) Assembly > Add Fuel
    FOR GASOLINE OPERATION: DO NOT USE E15 OR E85

  4. DO NOT plug in any electrical devices.
    NEVER START OR STOP THE GENERATOR WITH ELECTRICAL DEVICES CONNECTED OR TURNED ON!

  5. Starting the Engine:

  6. `Manual Start

  7. Turn the fuel vent lever to the “ON” position.

  8. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the “CHOKE” position.

  9. Pull the recoil to start the engine.

  10. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the “GASOLINE OPERATION” position.

  11. Starting the Engine: Propane (LPG) Manual Start

  12. Open the propane tank valve.

  13. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the “CHOKE” position.

  14. Pull the recoil 3-5 times to prime the engine.

  15. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the “PROPANE OPERATION” position.

  16. Pull the recoil to start the engine.

  17. Plug in. ° Operation > Connecting Electrical Loads.
