USING THE SPEAKER
Positioning the speaker
Indoors, the sound quality of the Hercules wireless speaker will vary according to its placement in the room.
If you will be moving the speaker from room to room indoors, please keep the following points in mind:
- To obtain the best possible sound, place the speaker on a shelf, a piece of furniture, a desk or any other flat surface at a height of between 70 and 120 cm from the floor.
- You should ideally position the speaker near a wall, to enhance the bass response.
- The further you position your speaker from the wall, the lower the bass level will be.
- When in operation, you should always position the speaker on its base: any other position will result in reduced sound quality.
- Do not place the speaker in a narrow, enclosed space, as doing so will result in reduced sound quality.
- Outdoors, sound dispersion is greater and will result in reduced sound quality. To mitigate the sound dispersion, place the speaker close to you.
Pairing a Bluetooth® device
“Pairing” means connecting a smartphone or a Bluetooth® device to your speaker, in order to establish a communication. When two devices are paired, the relevant information is stored in both devices’ memory. Once a device has been paired with the speaker, it doesn’t need to be paired again. The speaker can store information about up to 8 devices.
-
**Step 1** : Turn the speaker on, if you haven’t already done so.
The Bluetooth® pairing indicator light should flash quickly. This means that the speaker is in pairing mode. If the pairing indicator light doesn’t flash, please refer to section 3, further in this manual. -
Step 2:
- Open your device’s Bluetooth® management feature. If using an iOS device, select Settings / General / Bluetooth®.
- Activate your device’s Bluetooth® feature and wait for the speaker to appear in the list of detected devices.
- Locate the WAE-BTP02 speaker, then tap on it to connect to it.
- After a short wait, the connection is set up; the device should now appear as Connected in your device’s Bluetooth® management feature.

** An application is provided with your speaker, and can be downloaded from the App Store. When connecting an iOS device to the speaker for the first time, a notification appears on the screen, inviting you to download the application. Recharging the battery
Your speaker is equipped with a rechargeable battery. We strongly recommend that you completely discharge the battery when using the speaker for the first time. To do so, leave the speaker powered on (with the sound active or not) until the speaker completely runs out of power.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much time does a Bluetooth speaker have on its charge?
When completely charged, a new Bluetooth speaker will last between 10 and 20 hours. Some gadgets have a four-hour battery life, while others can last up to 24 hours. The size of the battery is what differs.
Can my Bluetooth speaker be charged over night?
It is entirely fine to leave your Bluetooth speaker charging overnight if you are using one with a built-in battery. It is not advised to keep your Bluetooth speaker charging overnight though if the battery is replaceable.
How long can a Bluetooth speaker last?
When completely charged, Bluetooth speakers typically have a battery life of 10 to 20 hours. A 1000mAH Bluetooth speaker should have a 10-hour playback time and a 3-hour charging time. Although the capacity of the battery in Bluetooth speakers might vary, they typically range from 1000 mAH to 4000 mAH.
What functions are within a Bluetooth speaker?
Bluetooth uses short-range radio waves in the frequency range of 2.400 to 2.485 GHz to transfer digital data. This information is the digital audio signal from a coupled device in the case of Bluetooth speakers. Bluetooth transmits data using 79 different frequencies between 2.400 and 2.485 GHz.
What happens if a Bluetooth speaker is overcharged?
Yes, overcharging your speakers will result in permanent harm to the rechargeable batteries.
Is using a Bluetooth speaker while it’s charging okay?
Yes. Without endangering the battery, you can use your Bluetooth speaker while it is charging. When using the speaker for the first time, you should fully charge it while it is off so that you may check the battery life.
How can you tell if your speaker has enough juice?
The built-in lithium ion battery is fully charged if the CHARGE indication remains off when the speaker power is off and connected to an AC outlet. Even if the speaker is kept plugged into an AC outlet, the battery won’t be able to be charged any further after it has reached its maximum capacity.
How should a Bluetooth speaker be cared for?
Keep Your Bluetooth Wireless Speaker Clean
The most crucial thing to keep in mind is not to clean your wireless Bluetooth
speaker with water. Liquids can enter the internal components of the wireless
Bluetooth speaker and hurt them. To remove dirt and other debris, a
straightforward cloth will work well.
How can I make my Bluetooth speaker’s battery last longer?
Your best options are a portable battery pack and quick charging capabilities. A shorter battery life can be compensated for by quick charging. This capability, which not all speakers have but is quite helpful nonetheless, may take a dead battery and resuscitate it for a sufficient length in a half-hour or less.
What advantages can Bluetooth speakers offer?
Full-range audio can be brought into any room of your house with Bluetooth speakers, and they don’t cost much money or take up much room. The most adaptable speaker you can own is a Bluetooth speaker, hands down. You have a quick and efficient way to get music whenever and wherever you need it.
What causes Bluetooth speakers to malfunction?
If your Bluetooth devices aren’t connecting, they probably aren’t in pairing mode or are out of range. Try rebooting your devices or letting your phone or tablet “forget” the connection if you’re experiencing persistent Bluetooth connection issues.
The source of electricity for Bluetooth speakers
Yes, the majority of wireless speakers plug into standard power outlets or power strips using AC adaptors. To become “truly wireless,” some systems employ rechargeable batteries, although this feature necessitates repositioning and charging as routine tasks in order to use this type of surround sound system.
How can I prevent the automatic shutoff of my Bluetooth speaker?
Next, in the Device Manager box, select Properties by right-clicking on your Bluetooth device. 3. To save electricity, uncheck the box next to Allow the computer to turn off this device in the Power Management tab of the Properties window. Select OK.
Without a charger, how can I charge my Bluetooth speaker?
To charge a Bluetooth speaker without a charger, follow these steps:
Using your laptop or desktop computer and a USB cable, charge your Bluetooth speaker.
Employ a power bank.
Try using your phone’s charger.
Use the car’s charging station.
Purchase a new battery.
How can a Bluetooth speaker be harmed?
Static electricity, in addition to dirt and sunshine, is a speaker’s worst
enemy. A Bluetooth speaker can be destroyed by a buildup of static charge,
which is commonly brought on by rubbing two objects together.
