Hotkey and LED Guide

Note:

1. Pairing Mode lasts for 30 seconds every time. We recommend pairing All with your iPad in the metapen APP. Please refer to “2. Pair in APP & Customize Hotkey” for detailed instructions. You can also pair it in Settings. Refer to “3. Pair in Settings without APP”
2. A11 auto turn off in 5 minutes of inactivity
3. If you need to change the hotkey shortcuts please download the metapen APP.
4. Taking photos only works when the Camera is on.

Pair in APP & Customize Hotkey

1. Download APP: Scan the QR code or search “metapen” in iPad App Store
2. Pair in APP: Follow the pairing instructions in the application.
3. Customize Hotkey

Pair in Settings without APP

1. Preparation: Tap Settings D-> Tap Bluetooth (2 -> Turn Bluetooth on 3 -› Press once to Turn on A11 -> Wait for Pairing Mode
2. Pairing: Find “Pencil A11” in OTHER DEVICES -> Tap Pencil A11 © -> Popup “Bluetooth Pairing Request” -> Tap Pair 6 -> Pencil A11 Connected.

Battery Power Display

Make sure to add one or up to three Batteries Widget on the Home Screen so you can see the power display

Magnet Attach
Attaches Magnetically – Pencil can be attached to the side of the iPad Pro 11″ and iPad Pro 12.9″ (3rd Gen and later), iPad Air 4th Gen and later, iPad mini6. and the latest models.

Note: Do not support wireless charging

Replace the tip

Please unscrew the old tip counterclockwise, then screw the new tip clockwise. Do not directly pull it out.

Quick Troubleshooting

Why Pencil A11 can’t work with my iPad?

1. Make sure All is turned on. It will auto turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity. Press the hotkey once to turn it on (LED stays white for 3 seconds.)
2.  Identify your iPad model. Tap Settings -> Tap General -> Tap About -> Find Model Name -> Check the “Compatible devices” part at the beginning.
3. All iPad models must be updated to iOS 12.2 or above.
4. If your iPad was paired with an Apple pencil or other pencils before, forget that device before using All. For more support, please email us with your Order ID to support@metapen.com

Warning

1. Choking hazard – Small parts. Children should use the device under adult supervision.
2. Built-in non-removable battery, any improper usage may cause battery safety hazards and lead to safety problems.
3. Please use the device within 0°C~35°C, and store it within -20°C~45°C. Too high or low temperature may cause malfunction.
4. Do not use the device in wet places or near strong magnetic Fifield’s.
