Product Information

  • This product is a vent-free gas heater designed for use with natural gas or propane gas. It is available in various models, including manual models VFM63, VFM103, VFM203, VFM303, VFM64, VFM104, VFM204, VFM304, VFT101, VFT201, VFT301, VFHTE1R02M, OSVTFATT202, and MVOFDTE3L02S.
  • Important safety precautions must be followed to prevent fire, explosion, and personal injury. The appliance should not be installed in greenhouses or environments involving dusty, wet, corrosive, or explosive conditions. It is only suitable for use with the indicated type of gas and cannot be converted for use with other gases.
  • Installation and service of the product must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency, or the gas supplier. The installer should demonstrate proper lighting and operation of the heater to the homeowner and ensure completion and return of the warranty card.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that there are no flammable vapors or liquids, including gasoline, stored or used in the vicinity of the appliance.
  2. If you smell gas, follow the instructions provided by your gas supplier or contact the gas department immediately.
  3. The installation and service of the heater should be done by a qualified professional. Refer to the owner’s information manual for detailed instructions.
  4. The heater requires adequate combustion and ventilation air from the room it is installed in. Provision for fresh air must be made as specified on pages 4 and 5 of the manual.
  5. The heater is not suitable for installation in greenhouses or environments with specific conditions mentioned in the manual, as it may create unsafe conditions and void the warranty.
  6. The appliance can be installed in a permanently located manufactured (mobile) home, where permitted by local codes.
  7. The heater should not be installed above 7,000 ft. elevation. Installations above 4,500 ft. may experience nuisance pilot outage, aggravated by improper pressure and incorrect sizing relative to free air or confined space.
  8. Follow the instructions provided in the manual for installation, clearances, gas rough-in, wall mount, and free-standing options.
  9. Ensure proper lighting and operation of the heater according to the instructions provided in the manual.
