Viper Condenser Fan Installation Instructions
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS VIPER CONDENSER FAN
Safety Instructions
WARNING:
Before starting installation, read and understand all safety label and
warnings on the machine. Also review and understand all safety instructions in
the owners, installation and service manuals.
Failure to comply could result in serious injury, death or damage to the
equipment.
Qualified Service Personnel
WARNING:
Only trained and certified electrical, plumbing and refrigeration technicians
should service this unit.
All wiring and plumbing must conform to national and local codes. Failure to
comply could result in serious injury, death, or equipment damage.
Safety Precautions
This unit has been specifically designed to provide protection against
personal injury. To ensure continued protection observe the following:
WARNING:
Disconnect power to the unit before servicing following all lock out/tag out
procedures established by the user. Verify all of the power is off to the unit
before any work is performed. Failure to disconnect the power could result in
serious injury, death or equipment damage.
CAUTION:
Always be sure to keep area around the unit clean and free of clutter.
Failure to keep this area clean may result in injury or equipment damage.

Tools Required

2 Phillips Screwdriver
- 3/8” Nut Driver or Socket
CAUTION:
Condenser fan PN 620067709 requires a different capacitor than prior fans.
Failure to use the proper capacitor will result in reduced performance and may
cause equipment damage. Condenser fan PN 620067709 can be identified by its
composite blades, while previous fans have metal blades.
INSTALLATION STEPS
- Remove Power from the Viper
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver remove 4 screws to remove the top cladding.
- Unplug the original condenser fan.
- Using a 3/8” nut driver, remove 4 nuts and washers to remove the original fan.
- Using a 3/8” nut driver, install the new fan using the hardware removed in step 4.
- Plug in the new condenser fan.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver replace the top cladding and 4 screws.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver remove 4 screws to remove the rear cladding.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver loosen 2 screws to remove the old 4µF fan capacitor.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver tighten 2 screws to install the new 3µF fan capacitor.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver replace the rear cladding and 4 screws.
- Plug the unit back in and return to service.
