Using the Carista EVO adapter
- Plug the Carista EVO adapter firmly into your car’s OBD port and turn the ignition on.
- The OBD port is usually located under the dashboard, beneath the steering wheel.
- Other possible locations include: passenger’s side footwell; hidden behind a recessed panel in your center console; in the armrest or glovebox.
- Once the Carista EVO adapter is plugged in, you will see a blue light that indicates it is plugged in correctly.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone or tablet, open an app, and connect to it.
Using the Carista app
- Once you have your OBD adapter plugged in and the ignition on, turn on Bluetooth on your phone or tablet and open the Carista app.
- Sign in or register a new Carista account (it’s free).
- Press “Connect” and when prompted for the type of adapter that you’re using, pick “Carista”.
- Choose from the list of available features for your car and upgrade your driving experience.

⚠️ WARNING
- Do not connect or disconnect test equipment while the ignition is on or the engine is running.
- Before starting the engine, put the gear lever in the Neutral position (for manual transmission) or in the Park (for automatic transmission) position to avoid injury.
- NEVER smoke or allow a spark or flame near the battery or engine. Do not operate the tool in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gasses, or heavy dust.
- Keep a fire extinguisher suitable for gasoline/chemical/electrical fires nearby.
- Keep the tool dry, clean, and free from oil, water, or grease.
- Keep clothing, hair, hands, tools, test equipment, etc. away from all moving or hot engine parts.
- Store the tool and accessories in a locked area out of the reach of children.
- Do not use the tool while standing in water.
- Do not disconnect the battery or any wiring cables in the vehicle when the ignition switch is on.
- Do not attempt to install, reconfigure or remove the device from a vehicle while the vehicle is in motion or otherwise in operation.
