Battery High-Pressure Washer
Translation of the original instructions.
This product must not be used by children. Children must be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the product. This product may be used by
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of
experience and knowledge are used when supervised or in order to ensure the
safety of the product use of the product and understand the resulting hazards.
Intended use:
The GARDENA Battery High-Pressure Washer is intended to clean floor tiles,
garden furniture/tools, and bicycles and to clean softly or to water plants.
The product is not intended for continuous operation.

→Do not use the product for cleaning people, animals, vehicles, or electrical
wiring.

General safety warnings
The water temperature must not exceed 45 °C.
When connecting the high-pressure washer to the water supply system, country-
specific sanitary regulations must be observed to prevent water not of
drinking water quality from being drawn back in.
→Please consult a specialist for sanitary installations.
Wear suitable personal protective equipment (safety gloves, helmet with visor,
and hearing protection).
The maximum permissible pressure when connected to the water pipe is 6 bar.
Take care when opening the spray gun! When using the flat or rotary nozzle,
recoil forces can occur when the spray gun is opened, causing a torque on the
lance.
The spray gun can be secured against accidental opening by a lock.
CAUTION! The product is not intended for the application of cleaning agents.
CAUTION! Do not use the product within reach of persons unless they are
wearing protective clothing.
CAUTION! Do not point the jet at yourself or others to clean clothes or
footwear.
CAUTION! Risk of explosion! Do not spray flammable liquids.
CAUTION! High-pressure hoses, fittings, and couplings are important for
product safety. Only use accessories recommended by GARDENA (high-pressure
hoses, fittings, and couplings).
CAUTION! To ensure product safety, use only original spare parts approved by
GARDENA.
CAUTION! Water that has flowed through non-return valves is deemed to be non-
drinkable.
CAUTION! Do not use the product if a connecting cable or important parts are
damaged, e. g. safety devices, high-pressure hoses, spray guns, etc.
Electrical safety
DANGER! Electric shock!
Risk of injury due to electric shock.
→The product must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a
rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
CAUTION! Remove the battery before cleaning, maintenance, when replacing
parts, or when the product is converted to another function.
Additional safety warnings Battery safety
DANGER! Fire risk!
The battery to be charged must be placed on a nonflammable, heat-resistant,
and non-conductive surface while charging. The battery must not be charged
unattended.
The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. Keep corrosive, flammable,
and easily combustible objects clear of the battery charger and the battery.
Do not cover the battery charger and the battery while charging.
Disconnect the battery charger immediately in the event of smoke formation or
fire.
Only use GARDENA batteries for the GARDENA battery product. GARDENA cannot
accept any liability for the batteries of other manufacturers. If they are of
minor quality, they could cause a fire or explosion hazard!
Do not use the GARDENA charger to charge external rechargeable batteries, as
GARDENA cannot guarantee compatibility and could therefore present a risk of
fire or explosion. Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
DANGER! Risk of explosion!
Protect batteries from heat and fire. Do not leave on radiators or be exposed
to strong sunshine for long periods.
Do not operate them in explosive atmospheres, e. g. in the presence of
flammable liquids (vapors), flammable gases, or accumulations of dust.
Batteries may create sparks that could ignite the mixtures.
Check your battery before each use. Visually check the battery before each
use. A non-functioning battery must be disposed of correctly. Do not send by
post. For further details, please contact your local disposal companies.
For risks of injury do not use the battery as a power source for other
products. Only use the battery for the GARDENA product intended.
Only charge and use the battery in ambient temperatures of between 0 °C and 40
°C. Allow the battery to cool down after long periods of use.
Check the charging cable regularly for signs of damage or aging (brittleness).
Only use it in perfect condition.
Do not stow or transport the battery above 45 °C or in direct sunlight.
Ideally, the battery should be stored below 25 °C so that self-discharge is
low. Do not expose the battery to rain, water (immersion), or wet conditions.
Keep the battery in order (clean) especially air vents.
If usage of the battery is not planned for a certain time (winter period)
reload the battery to avoid a deep discharge.
Do not store the battery in a product to prevent self-discharge, misuse, and
accidents.
Do not store the battery in places where static electricity is present.
Electrical safety
DANGER! Cardiac arrest!
This product makes an electromagnetic field while it operates. This field may
under some conditions interfere with active or passive medical implants. To
decrease the risk of conditions that can possibly injure or kill, we recommend
persons with medical implants to speak with their physician and the medical
implant manufacturer before they operate the product.
Disconnect the battery in case of emergency.
Switch off the product when the water tank is empty.
Personal safety
DANGER! Risk of suffocation!
Small parts can be easily swallowed. There is also a risk that the polybag can
suffocate toddlers. Keep toddlers away when you assemble the product.
Check the product before using it.
Do not use a damaged product especially if there are cracks on the housing.
Caution: Do not park the pressure washer on a slope Do not immerse the
product.
Operate the machine only in daylight or in good artificial light.
When cleaning painted surfaces, keep a jet distance of at least 30 cm to avoid
damage.
Do not clean car tires, paint, or sensitive surfaces such as wood to avoid
damage.
DANGER! Personal injury and damage to the product!
→Observe the weight of the product during transport.
→Let the pressure out of the system before disconnecting the pressure hose
from the pressure washer or spray gun.
Use personal protective equipment.
Always wear eye protection.
Protective equipment such as gloves, non-skid safety shoes, or hearing
protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries. Keep
all nuts, bolts, and screws tight to be sure the product is in a safe working
condition.
Do not disassemble the product further than the delivery status.
Warning! When wearing hearing protection, and due to the noise produced by the
product, the operator may not notice persons approaching.
While operation and transport pay special attention to the hazard for other
people. Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when
operating a power tool.
Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs,
alcohol, or medication.
A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious
personal injury.
Only use the product with clear water. Do not add any additives to the water.
Impurities in the water can damage the pump and accessories. Do not use the
product in frost.
ASSEMBLY
DANGER! Risk of injury!

→Remove the battery before you assemble the product.
To assemble the pedestal [ Fig. A1 ]:
- Push the pedestal (1) into the openings (2) in the washer. Make sure that the pedestal (1) is completely in place and the pedestal hole is in line up with the holes in the asher.
- Put the screws (3) in the holes in the washer.
- Tighten the screws (3) with a screwdriver. Make sure that the screws are completely tightened.
To assemble the handle [ Fig. A2 ]:
- Push the handle (4) into the openings (5) in the washer. Make sure that the handle (4) is completely in place and the handle hole is in line up with the holes in the washer.
- Put the screws (6) in the holes in the washer.
- Tighten the screws (6) with a screwdriver. Make sure that the screws are completely tightened.
To assemble the holder [ Fig. A3 ]:
→Push the holder (29) onto the handle (4). Make sure that the centering pins
of the holder are inserted into the holes of the handle.
→Secure the holder (29) with the screw (S). The accessories (10) can be stored
in the holder (29) of the high-pressure washer.
To assemble the pressure hose and the spray gun [ Fig. A4 / A5 / A6 / A7
]:
DANGER!
→The product may only be used when the pressure hose and
the spray lance is completely assembled.
There are 2 attachments in the scope of delivery:
- Flat nozzle
- Irrigation shower
The following attachments are available as accessories:
- GARDENA Surface Brush AquaClean Li Art. 9342
- GARDENA Rotating Nozzle AquaClean Li Art. 9345
- Place the front lance (7) on the spray gun (8) and turn it counter-clockwise until the connection engages noticeably (bayonet lock).
- Pull the ring (9) of the quick coupling backward, place the desired attachment (10) on the front lance (7) and release the ring (9) again.
- Pull down the locking lever (11) and push the pressure hose (12) into the spray gun (8) until it stops.
- Push the locking lever (11) up again to lock the pressure hose (12).
- First, pull the union nut (14) of the pressure hose (12) backward. Then push the pressure hose (12) until it stops into the pressure connection (13) on the washer.
- Tighten the union nut (14) clockwise.
ATTENTION!
→Before you disassemble the pressure hose or spray gun, press the start lever
when switched off to release the residual pressure in the system.
To provide the water supply:
You can enable the water supply via the supplied water tank or a tap.
Water supply via the water tank [ Fig. A8 / A9 ]:
The water tank can be removed for filling.
- Unscrew the cover (14) and fill the water tank (15) with water (up to 14 liters).
- Screw the cover (14) back down. Make sure that the gasket (25) is correctly inserted in the cover (14).
- Place the water tank (15) on the high-pressure washer.
- Push the locks (16) on both sides down until the connection audibly engages.
→ Take water only up to the “min.” marker.
The water tank is not watertight in the lateral position.
→Carry the full water tank by the handle.
Water supply via the tap [ Fig. A10 ]:
- The minimum hose size is 1/2″ / 13 mm.
- The max. permitted water pressure at the tap is 6 bar.
- Connect the water hose (17) to the tap connector (18) of the water inlet on the high-pressure washer.
- Connect the water hose (17) to the tap (19). Make sure that the water hose is free of leakage
- Open the tap.
CAUTION!
→Disconnect the high-pressure washer from the tap after cleaning.
OPERATION

→Remove the battery before you adjust or transport the product.
To charge the battery [ Fig. O1 / O2 / O3 ]:
CAUTION!
Overvoltage damages the battery and the battery charger.
→Make sure that you use the correct mains voltage.
For the GARDENA Battery High-Pressure Washer Art. 9341-55, there is no battery
in the scope of delivery.
The battery is not in the product when it is delivered.
Before you use the battery the first time, the battery must be completely
charged.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged in any state of charge and the charging
process can be disconnected at any time without damaging the battery (no
memory effect).

Open the flap (22).
-
Push both locking buttons (A) and remove the battery (B) from the battery holder (D).
-
Connect the mains cable (M) to the charger (C).
-
Connect the mains cable (M) to a 230 V mains socket.
-
Connect the battery charger cable (E) to the battery (B).
When the charging control lamp (Lc) at the charger flashes green once per second the battery is being charged.
When the charging control lamp (Lc) at the charger illuminates green the battery is completely charged (Charging time, see 7. TECHNICAL DATA). -
Examine the charge status regularly while you charge.

When the battery (B) is completely charged, disconnect the battery (B) from the charger (C).

Disconnect the charger (C) from the mains.

Control panel [ Fig. O5 ]: On / Off button:
→Push the On / Off button (s) on the control panel.
When the high-pressure washer is switched on, the On-LED (Ls) illuminates.
When not in use, the high-pressure washer switches off automatically after 5
minutes.
Soft-Clean button:
→Push the Soft-Clean button (e) on the control panel.
When the Soft-Clean mode is activated, the LED (Le) illuminates.
The Soft-Clean mode reduces the spray pressure for cleaning sensitive
surfaces. It also extends the battery life.
Work position [ Fig. O6 ]:
The performance is divided into the Normal mode and Soft-Clean mode.
The Normal mode is ideal for cleaning floor tiles, garden furniture /
-tools, bicycles, etc. Hold the lance at an angle of approx. 45°.
Be careful when you work near plants. The force of the water jet could damage
plants.
The Soft-Clean mode reduces the engine speed for a maximum battery
lifetime. It is ideal for cleaning sensitive surfaces.
To start the high-pressure washer [ Fig. O1 / O5 / O6 / O7 ]:
DANGER! Risk of injury!
Risk of injury if the product does not stop when you release the start lever.
→Do not bypass the safety devices or switches. For example, do not attach the
start lever to the handle.
To start:
The product is provided with a safety device (start lever with safety lock) to
prevent the product from being turned on by accident.
- Open the flap (22).
- Put the battery (B) into the battery holder (D) until it audibly engages.
- Close the flap until it engages.
- Push the On / Off button (s) on the control panel (P) until the On-LED (Ls) illuminates green. The engine starts briefly until the operating pressure is reached. The engine then stops again and the high-pressure washer is ready to start.
- Hold the lance (7) with one hand.
- Hold the spray gun (8) with the other hand, push the safety lock (L) on the left side and pull the start lever (23). The high-pressure washer starts.
To stop:
- Release the start lever (23) and push the safety lock (L) on the right side. The high-pressure washer stops.
- Push the On / Off button (s) on the control panel (P) until the On-LED (Ls) is off.
- Push both locking buttons (A) and remove the battery (B) from the battery holder (D).
Transport [ Fig. O8 ]:
For transport, the pressure hose can be clamped in the locking (28) on the
holder (29) and wrapped around the holder.
MAINTENANCE

→Remove the battery before you maintain the product.
To clean the high-pressure washer [ Fig. M1 ]:
DANGER! Risk of injury!
Risk of injury and risk of damage to the product.
→Do not clean the product with water or with a water jet (in particular high-
pressure water jet).
→Do not clean with chemicals including petrol or solvents. Some can destroy
critical plastic parts.
The airflow slots must always be clean.
- Clean the airflow slots (24) with a soft brush (do not use a screwdriver).
- Clean all movable parts after each operation. Especially remove any dirt from the connections.
- Clean the water tank with clear water.
To clean the filter [ Fig. M2 ]:
The filter must be cleaned regularly.
- Unscrew the tap connector (18).
- Remove the filter (26) e.g. with tweezers on the bridge ß26a.
- Clean the filter (26) under running water.
- Clean the filter holder (27).
- Push the filter (26) completely back into the filter holder (27). Make sure that the washer ß26d is in the correct position.
- Screw the tap connector (18) back onto the high-pressure washer. Make sure that the washer ß18d is in the tap connector (18).
The high-pressure washer may only be operated with the filter. To clean the gasket [ Fig. A8 ]:
- Unscrew the cover (14).
- Remove the gasket (25).
- Clean the gasket (25) under running water.
- Clean the vent opening in the cover (14) under running water.
- Replace the gasket (25) in the cover (14).
- Screw the cover (14) back onto the water tank (15).
To clean the battery and the battery charger:
Make sure that the surface and the contacts of the battery and the battery
charger always are clean and dry before you connect the battery charger.
Do not use running water.
→Clean the contacts and the plastic parts with a soft and dry cloth.
STORAGE
To put into storage: The product must be stored away from children.
- Remove the battery.
- Charge the battery.
- Clean the high-pressure washer, the battery, and the battery charger (see 4. MAINTENANCE).
- Store the high-pressure washer, the battery, and the battery charger in a dry, enclosed, and frost-free place.
Disposal:
(in accordance with RL2012/19/EC)
The product must not be disposed of to normal household waste. It must be
disposed of in line with local environmental regulations.
IMPORTANT!
→Dispose of the product through or via your municipal recycling collection
center.
Disposal of the battery:
The GARDENA battery contains lithium-ion cells that should not be disposed of
with normal household waste at the end of its life. Li-ion

→Dispose of the batteries through or via your municipal recycling collection
center.
- Discharge the lithium-ion cells completely (contact the GARDENA Service).
- Protect the contacts on the lithium-ion cells against short circuits.
- Dispose of the lithium-ion cells properly.
TROUBLESHOOTING

Warranty statement:
In the event of a warranty claim, no charge is levied to you for the services
provided.
GARDENA Manufacturing GmbH grants a warranty for all original
GARDENA new products for two years from the date of original purchase from the
retailer provided that the devices have been for private use only. This
manufacturer’s warranty does not apply to products acquired second-hand. This
warranty includes all significant defects of the product that can be proved to
be material or manufacturing faults. This warranty is fulfilled by supplying a
fully functional replacement product or by repairing the faulty product sent
to us free of charge; we reserve the right to choose between these options.
This service is subject to the following provisions:
- The product has been used for its intended purpose as per the recommendations in the operating instructions.
- Neither the purchaser nor a third party has attempted to open or repair the product.
- Only Original GARDENA replacement parts and wear parts have been used for operation.
- Presentation of the receipt.
Normal wear and tear of parts and components (such as blades, blade fixing
parts, turbines, light bulbs, V-belts / toothed belts, impellers, air filters,
spark plugs), visual changes, wear parts, and consumables are excluded from
the warranty.
This manufacturer’s warranty is limited to the replacement and repair of
products in accordance with the abovementioned conditions. The manufacturer’s
warranty does not constitute an entitlement to lodge other claims against us
as a manufacturer, such as for damages. This manufacturer’s warranty does not,
of course, affect statutory and contractual warranty claims against the
dealer/retailer.
The manufacturer’s warranty is governed by the law of the Federal Republic of
Germany.
In case of a warranty claim, please return the faulty product, together with a
copy of the receipt and a description of the fault, with postage paid to the
service address.
Consumables:
The filter is consumable and not included in the warranty.
Product liability
In accordance with the German Product Liability Act, we hereby expressly
declare that we accept no liability for damage incurred from our products
where said products have not been properly repaired by a GARDENA-approved
service partner or where original GARDENA parts or parts authorized by GARDENA
were not used.
