BENIFERRO ZWMX7520-P Pool Twin Dosing Unit

BENIFERRO ZWMX7520-P Pool Twin Dosing Unit

Safety instructions

  • The electrical installation must be carried out in such a way that:

    • The chlorine and acid pumps cannot work if the filter pump does not work. This can be done by adding a flow switch / flow controller ZWMX3552-P (preference) to the installation or by using the same power line as the filter pump. With device ZWMX7522-P, the flows switch is already built into the device.
    • The chlorine and acid pumps can be switched off when the filter pump is working. This can be done by the on/off button at the bottom of the dosing pump.
  • Addition of the chemicals for the pool should be done downstream of the pool accessories such as
heating, UV lamp, filter, and downstream of the measuring probes.

  • Chlorine and acid react together into toxic chlorine gas. Make sure that the chemicals are placed outside or in a very well-ventilated room, in a drip tray, that they cannot come into contact with each other and remain out of the reach of children…

  • It is recommended to put the installation of the water treatment unit in bypass configuration.

  • Install the water treatment unit on a solid base or against the wall (always vertically).

  • Always keep the product upright. If the product is tilted or placed on the side, the probes cannot measure correctly, resulting in incorrect measurements.

  • The product must be installed inside

  • The acid dosing device should not be used with hydrochloric acid (HCl).

  • In the event of a leak, make sure that the water or chemicals cannot run over the installation.

  • The electronics or device itself must never be connected to an output of a frequency converter or a variable speed drive.

  • The dosing device must not be on the same current circuit as that of the variable speed converter or ac drive used and it is at minus 3m from the dosing unit.

  • Calibrate the pH and Rx probes before first use and thereafter at least every 3 months. “regularly” verify the chlorine content and pH with a color method.

Always take into account the safety features described in the manual

Installation

  1. Hang the unit in the desired place.

  2. Connect the probes (left pH – right Chlorine).
    Installation

  3. Connect to the mains. If necessary, adjust the language of the device (steps 6-1)

  4. Calibrate the probes with pH and Redox calibration fluid
    – Immerse the measuring probes in the calibration fluids for pH (pH 7) and Redox (465-468 mV) and wait 5 minutes to balance before proceeding with the calibration process.
    – Press the pH calibration button (top button) for 10 seconds, then choose Calibration via buffer pH7.
    – A timer will stop after 120 seconds and notify you if the calibration has been successful.
    – Start the calibration of the Redox probe by pressing the redox calibration button (lower button) for 10 seconds and perform the above operation, now for Redox.

  5. Insert the probes into the dosing tube, remove the installation from the mains, connect water and test for leaks.
    Installation

  6. If the installation is leak-proof:
    – Connect to the mains and switch off the dosing pumps with the power button at the bottom of the dosing device.
    – Set the parameters: The settings are done by the buttons on the lid Middle button is the enter button, top and bottom buttons are scroll and choice buttons.

DOSING MODE

Attention!
When using the Pool twin with liquid chlorine / acid, set the dosing method to Proportional.

PH+ of PH

PH+ or PH PH(min) should always be set when using the liquid chlorine dosing unit.

It is not possible to add both PH+ and PH- : PH- OR PH+, never both at the same time.

PH SP(SetPoint)

As a rule, the pH will be set at 7.4.

Rx SP(Redox SetPoint)

At startup we recommend setting the setpoint to 700mV. When this setpoint is reached, measure the chlorine with a reliable color method. If the chlorine content is too low, increase the setpoint. If the chlorine content is too high, lower the setpoint.

Flow switch; no , yes

The unit ZWMX7520-P is supplied without a flow switch NO
The unit ZWMX7522-P is supplied with a flow switch YES

Safety alarm: on / off / info

The alarm function ensures that the installation stops at very high/low pH and when dosing for a very long time. On a first start-up, it is sometimes necessary to temporarily set the alarm to “off”. Once the pool is at the requested values, we put the alarm back on “ON”.

Installing suction nipple

Insert PH’s suction cap into the acid container/ chlorine into the chlorine container. It is advisable not to lower the suction cap to the bottom of the bush. If something goes wrong with the dosage, not the whole canister of acid will be pumped into the pool.

Start the installation

Start the installation by switching on the electricity from the pump Verify the pH, and adjust the pH to 7.2-7.4.

Start the dosing system

The unit is now ready for use. A pool is not balanced after a few hours of dosing, be patient!

GOOD LUCK!
