Product Usage Instructions

Starting the Watch

  1. Hold down the button for 3 seconds to start your watch.
  2. The startup screen will follow the welcome message for 3-5 seconds as your watch boots up.

Home Screen and Functions

  1. By default, your watch will navigate you to the clock screen.

Play Golf Mode

  1. To initiate a round of golf on your watch, swipe up once from the home screen.

  2. Select “Play Golf”.

  3. Your watch will begin looking for a GPS signal.

  4. Once your watch has successfully fixed your GPS position, you will see a list of courses ordered from closest to your current location to furthest from your current location.

  5. Select the course you want to play.

  6. On Choose View, you have the option of selecting Green View or Classic View:

    • Green View: Provides a projection of the shape of the green, as
      well as front, center, and back distances.

    • Classic View: Provides front, center (in red), and back distances.

  7. After selecting a view, your round will start.

  8. In an active round, you will see:

    • Hole number
    • Par for the Hole
    • Shot:
    • Hole Number: Displays the hole you are currently on.
    • Par for the Hole: Displays the par number of shots for the hole.
    • Shot: Allows you to tap the text at the beginning of your shot, at which point the watch will begin measuring your starting position to your shot landing position. Tap the number displayed to close the measurement, and tap again to begin a new measurement.
  9. Your distance to the front, center, and back of the green will update as you advance on the hole.

  10. If not also playing with a Sound or Sound+, by swiping up, you will be able to see the distance and direction of any hazards on the hole from your current position.

  11. If playing with a Sound or Sound+, by swiping up once, you will see your speaker controls, which include:

    • Volume Down
    • Volume Up
    • Rewind
    • Play/Pause
    • Fast Forward
    • Announce: By selecting announce, the front, center, and back distances from your watch will be played through your speaker.
  12. By swiping down from the Green View or Classic View, you can enter your score. Swipe left or right to select higher or lower numbers than those displayed.

    • If connected with your Rad Golf application, your score will immediately be visible on your app.
    • After entering your score on the first hole, you will be asked if you’d like the score prompt to activate. If you select Yes, you will be prompted to enter your score as you get to the tee box of the next hole that you play.
  13. By swiping left on Green View or Classic View, you can advance a hole on the watch.

  14. You can go back a hole on the watch by swiping right on Green View or Classic View.

    • Scores entered on the watch for holes that you are not currently on will transfer to the Rad Golf application, so ensure that your watch is set to the hole you’re on.
  15. By pressing the side button during Play Golf, you can access the active play menu.

    • Course: Allows you to change course.
    • Handicap: This will allow you to change the handicap factor from Men to Women.
    • Bluetooth: Allows you to turn Bluetooth on or off.
    • If your watch is paired to your Rad Golf app, turning Bluetooth off will terminate the connection, but it will not end your round on either device.

Q: How do I start my watch?

Startup

  1. To start your Watch, hold down the button for 3 seconds.
  2. Welcome” will be followed by your startup screen for 3-5 seconds as your watch boots up

Home Screen and Functions

  1. By default, your watch will navigate you to the clock screen

Setting your Clock

  • a. Your clock will not be set on startup
  • b. To set your clock, press the side button once
  • c. Select “Settings”
  • d. Scroll down once by swiping up on the screen
  • e. Select “Time”
  • f. Select “Set Time”
  • g. By selecting “Manually” you will be able to select the current date and time by swiping up or down on the respective fields.
  • h. Select “Done” to confirm your changes after setting the date fields.
  • i. By selecting “By GPS”, the Watch will begin a GPS search to determine the time and date at your location.
  • j. Although time will show as incorrect on startup, if the Watch is connected to the Rad Golf application, or has begun any operation, the time will automatically update using available GPS.

Play Golf Mode

  1. To initiate a round of golf on your watch, swipe up once from the home screen
  2. Select “Play Golf”
  3. Your watch will begin looking for a GPS signal
  4. Once your watch has successfully fixed your GPS position, you will see a list of courses ordered from closest to your current location to furthest from your current location
  5.  Select the course you want to play
  6. On “Choose View,” you have the option of selecting Green View or Classic View
    • a. Green View will provide you with a projection of the shape of the green, as well as front, center, and back distances.
    • b. Classic View will provide you with front, center (in red), and back distances
  7. After selecting a view, your round will start
  8. In an active round, you will see:
    • a. Hole number
    • b. Par for the Hole
    • c. Shot
    • Hole Number displays the hole you are currently on
    • Par for the Hole displays the par number of shots for the hole
    • The shot allows you to tap the text at the beginning of your shot, at which point the watch will begin measuring your starting position to your shot landing position.
    • Tap the number displayed to close the measurement, and tap again to begin a new measurement.
  9. Your distance to the front, center, and back of the green will update as you advance on the hole.

    • d. Pair Speaker will allow you to repair your speaker to your Rad Golf app and watch to re-enable your speaker controls
    • e. Units allows you to change between Yards and Meters
    • f. Score Prompt allows you to set the watch to provide you with the score selection screen automatically when you advance from one hole to the next
    • g. Course View allows you to toggle between Green View and Classic View
    • h. Exit Round allows you to close out the round from the watch.
    • If paired to the mobile app, this will also end your round in the Rad Golf app
  16. After playing, ensure you select “Exit Round” to save your watch data!
    • a. After selecting “Exit Round” you’ll be shown your round summary statistics

Let’s Run

  1. Let’s Run” allows you to use your Rad Watch as a distance tracker for your walks, runs, and rides.RAD-GOLF-2A69E-RGWWBK001-Rad-Watch-FIG-12
  2. When you select “Let’s Run,” your watch will look for a GPS fix. Once GPS is fixed, you’ll be shown Time and Distance counters, which begin tracking time and distance after you select “Start”
  3. After selecting “Start” you’ll be given “Reset” and “Stop” functions.
    • a. “Reset” resets time and distance counters
    • b. “Stop” pauses both counters.
  4. To exit your activity, press the side button.
  5. On the “Exit Run?” screen, select “Yes”
  6. NOTICE: This data is only for checking distance and time for your run, the data is not stored on your watch or in the Rad Golf mobile application.

Settings

  1. To access your watch’s settings, press the side button from any of the Home menu screens
  2. To close out any settings menus, swipe up on the settings screen.
    • a. Battery
    • Displays an active read of your watch’s battery with a display icon
    • b. Bluetooth
    • Select On or Off to change the active bluetooth state
    • c. Units
    • Select Yards or Meters to change the units displayed by your watch
    • d. Time

Set Time

  1. By GPS
    • When selected, will search for GPS to set the watch’s date and time using satellite information
  2. Manually
    • a. When selected, allows you to swipe through time and date fields to set the watch’s time
    • Format
    • Allows you to select between 12 hour and 24 hour time formats
    • Daylight
    • Allows you to turn Daylight Savings Time On/Off
    • e. Tutorial
    • Presents a QR code that can be scanned to bring you to this manual!
    • f. Language
    • Allows you to set the watch language to your preferred language
    • English is the only currently supported language (2023-05-25)
    • g. Wake Screen
    • Allows you to select On/Off for motion-based screen wake
  • h. Update
    • To update Course or Firmware, you must connect your watch to the Rad Golf application
  1. In the Rad Golf Application, select “Device Menu” from your device page
  2. Select “Course Update”
  3. Select the course file you’d like to update on your Rad Golf application
  4. Keep your phone screen awake until the update is complete.
  5. For Firmware Updates, select “Settings”
  6. Select “Select for Updates”
  7. Keep your phone screen awake until the update is complete.
  8. Restart your watch to implement the firmware update.

Reset

  1. Allows you to factory reset your device
  2. Notice: If you factory reset your device, you will lose any stored rounds
  3. Notice: Your device will still need to be unregistered from your Rad Golf application if you want somebody else to use the watch.

About

  1. Displays the current firmware version, date of release, and ID of your watch.

Pairing your Watch to your Rad Golf Application

  1. Open your Rad Golf Application (iOS available on Apple App Store, Android available on Google Play Store)
  2. Create an account by providing your phone number, first name, and last name, or sign in using your phone number.
  3. Enter the OTP delivered to your text messages
  4. For new users:
    • a. Select “Register my Device”
  5. On your “Devices” menu, navigate to Watch
  6. Select “Register and Connect”
  7. Ensure that your watch is on, and your phone’s Bluetooth connection is active
  8. When the “Connect” button changes from light red to red, select Connect
  9. On your Rad Golf application, enter the pairing code shown on your watch.
  10. Your Rad Golf application will show a message that says “Connected!” and will navigate you back to your “Devices” menu. Your watch will also show “Connected”.
  11. If pairing fails, you will see a message on your watch that reads “Pairing Failed” as well as a message on your mobile device that reads “Failed to Connect”

Playing a Round with your Watch and Rad Golf Application

  1. With your Watch showing “Connected” in your “Devices” screen, select “Play Golf” from any of your available and connected devices
  2. On your watch, select “Play Golf”
  3. Select your course on the Rad Golf application
  4. Select the same course on your Watch once you have an active GPS connection
  5. Congratulations! Your watch is paired to your golf round in your Rad Golf application.
  6. All scores entered on the watch will output to the Rad Golf application for the hole that you’re currently playing
  7. Using speaker controls will allow you to change the song you’re listening to, change the volume, play and pause your music, and announce the distance shown on your watch.
  8. When playing, your watch and Rad Golf application will automatically advance you to the next hole once you are within 20 yards of the next tee box.
  9. To end your round on both devices, press the side button on the watch, and scroll down to “Exit Round”
  10. When you select “Exit Round,” your Rad Golf application and watch will leave the round simultaneously, and your Rad Golf application will direct you to your round summary.
