Safety instructions
- Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating and use it in dry environments only.
- This product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
- Use the product only for the intended purpose.
- Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Do not use the product in areas in which electronic products are not permitted.
- Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
- Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
- Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children due to the risk of suffocation.
- Dispose of packaging material immediately in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
- Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.
- Only use the article under moderate climatic conditions.
- Do not mount the product above locations where persons might sit or stand.
- Before mounting, check that the wall you have chosen is suitable for the weight to be mounted. Also make sure that there are no electric, water, gas or other lines running through the wall at the mounting site.
- Pay attention to the applicable data protection regulations before installing and using the product.
- Respect the personal and property rights of others. Do not make recordings of other people with the camera.
- Observe the right to one’s own image and spoken word when recording.
- As with all electrical products, this device should be kept out of the reach of children.
- Do not bend or crush the cable.
- Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.
- Do not incinerate the battery or the product.
- Do not tamper with or damage/heat/disassemble the batteries/rechargeable batteries.
- The product must only be operated on a supply network as described on the type plate.
Risk of electric shock
- Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
- Do not use the product if the
- AC adapter, the adapter cable or the mains cable are damaged.
- Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.
Product characteristics
Our WiFi outdoor camera is used to monitor the area in which you install it. You can use the Hama Smart Home (Solution) app to access the images of the monitored location conveniently at any time.
The following voice commands are available for voice assistants with a display (Amazon Echo Show, Google Nest, etc.):”Alexa/OK Google, show me camera (plus the name of the camera you have defined)”
Installation
You can mount the camera using the enclosed mounting kit
Warning – mounting kit
- Do not mount the product above locations where persons might sit or stand.
- Before mounting, check that the wall you have chosen is suitable for the weight to be mounted. Also make sure that there are no electric, water, gas or other lines running through the wall at the mounting site.
Warning
- When mounting outdoors, the enclosed rubber hood must be pulled over the camera.
Commissioning
- The camera can be charged via the solar panel supplied as well as via a mains adapter. To do this, unlock the camera’s housing lock at the top, open the housing and insert the batteries supplied.
Charging via power supply unit
Warning
- Only operate the product from an approved socket that is connected to the public power supply. The socket must be installed close to the product and must be easily accessible.
- Disconnect the product from the power supply using the On/Off switch – if this is not available, unplug the power cord from the socket.
- If using a multi-socket power strip, make sure that the total power consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the socket strip’s maximum throughput rating.
- If you will not be using the product for a prolonged period, disconnect it from mains power.
- For operation via USB, connect a micro-USB cable (not included in the scope of delivery) with the micro-USB socket on the camera and a suitable USB power supply unit (not included in the scope of delivery).
- Connect the power supply unit to a properly installed socket. When doing so, consult the operating instructions for the power supply unit.
Solar charging
- Install the supplied solar panel in a place that is easily accessible by the sun using the enclosed mounting kit.
- Connect the solar panel to the camera using the micro-USB cable.
Warning – rechargeable battery
- Only use suitable charging devices or USB ports to charge the product.
- Do not use defective chargers or USB ports and do not attempt to repair them.
- Do not overcharge the product or allow the battery to completely discharge.
- Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).
- When stored over a long period of time, batteries should be charged regularly (at least every three months).
- Operate this item only with the batteries supplied.
- Use the supplied batteries only in conjunction with this item.
- Use the supplied solar panel only in conjunction with this item.
- In winter or when there is little solar power, manual charging via a power supply unit may be necessary even when operating with solar charging.
Integrating devices into the Hama Smart Home (Solution) app

Insert the batteries as described above.

The LED on the camera starts to flash quickly. If it does not, press and hold the Reset button (8) on the camera for around 5 seconds.

Open the app and sign in.

Press the + in the top right-hand corner to add a new device.

Choose Cameras from the list.

Now confirm that the camera LED is flashing quickly by ticking “Next step” and clicking on
“Next”.Ensure that the QR code is at the top right. -
Next, enter your WiFi password and
confirm with NEXT. Now scan the QR code with the camera from a distance of around 15 – 20 cm. -
As soon as you hear a signal sound, click “Signal sound heard”.

Your camera is now connected.

Once the connection is successful, the LED stops flashing quickly and the app confirms that your camera is connected. You can now assign it a different name if you wish.

Click Finish ending the process.

You can now operate and configure the camera.

Note: Pairing restart
First open the housing of the camera. Now press the Reset button with a
needle or another thin object until a signal sound is heard. As soon as the
LED starts to flash red, you can start a further pairing attempt.
Setting options
The following settings can be made in the app:
- Battery status
- Playback video recordings from your gallery.
- Open the photo album and view all of the images captured.
- Switch between dark and light mode.
- Manage the settings of the anti-flicker mode.
- Manage the settings for the motion detector.
- Edit the rapid access.
- Retrieve this device’s messages and alarms.
- Call up the data from your cloud storage here.
For extended usage options, scenarios can be created in the app. (See Section 9 and App Guide)
Extended usage options with scenarios
Scenarios and automated sequences that can be created in the app allow various combination options and usage options for these products, depending on the SmartHome products in your home. Programming is always via the app (see Section 7 of the App Guide) and will be offered/suggested to you on an individual basis.

Care and maintenance
Note
Disconnect the product from the mains before cleaning and during prolonged
periods of non-use.
- Only clean this product using a lint-free, slightly damp cloth and do not use any harsh cleaners.
- Ensure that no water is able to enter the product.
