Locating Ceiling Joists
Note: Your ceiling joists configuration may differ from the ones
illustrated in this manual. Your home joists layout may be parallel or
vertical against the side of your garage door. To better identify the
configuration of the Joists use a stud find to locate the beams running across
your garage. If you are still unsure of your joist configuration, please
contact a licensed technician.
Assembly
Step 1: Install the Ceiling Brackets
- Decide where you want to install the shelf.
- With a stud finder, locate the joists along the ceiling with the stud finder.
- Use a pencil or pen to mark the 8 mounting points on the roof with the joists located as the image shows below.
- Drill eight three-inch-deep holes with a 3116″ drill bit that you marked.
- Use 2 x M8 Socket Screws (F) screw into the outer most holes. Do not fully tighten into the ceiling, leaving about 0.1-0.2 inches from being fully screwed. (This will allow you to adjust position of the bracket for the next steps).
- Take the Front Ceiling Bracket (A) and push the bracket onto the screws using wider holes on the outer most side of the bracket. Slide the bracket to the right, allowing the bracket to hang from the ceiling.
- Use 6 x M8 Socket Screws (F) to screw mount the other two holes for the Front Ceiling Bracket (A) and Back Ceiling Bracket (B). Do not fully tighten leaving about 0.1-0.2 inches from being fully screwed.
- Adjust the position of Front Ceiling Bracket (A) . Make sure the inner spools of Front Ceiling Bracket (A) are aligned with the spool of Back Ceiling Bracket (B). Then tightly lock the 8 screws
Step 2: Assemble the Wire Grids
- Combine the two Wire Grids (C). With 6 x M6 Hex Screw Bolts (G) and 6 x M6 Nuts (I) and 6 x Washers (H), tighten the grids together.
- Install the two Support Bars (D) on to the front and back side of the grids. Use 12 x M6 Hex Screw Bolts (G), 12 x M6 Nuts (I) and the 12 x Washers (H) and tighten the ends of the screw attaching the support bars to the grid.
- Fix the Safety Net (E) onto the bracket. Use the 4 x M5 Socket Head Cap Screw (K) to secure the net onto the supports from the grid.
Step 3: Combine the Wire Grids with Ceiling Brackets
Locate the outer wire and from the front ceiling bracket and remove the zip
tie. Take the hook and the wire from one side and pull it straight down. Wrap
it around the spool on the rack and back up. Use the hook and hook onto the
edge of the front ceiling bracket. Repeat this step for the other side.
Locate the inner wires and from
the front ceiling bracket and remove the zip ties. Take one of the hook and
wires and pull it horizontally across parallel to the ceiling to the other end
and wrap it around the spool. Pull it straight down and then wrap it again
around the spool on the rack. Pull it back up and use the hook to hook onto
the edge of the back ceiling bracket. Repeat this step on the other side.
(Note: The wires should not be crossing each other through the middle of the

service@origamirack.com for instructions on
how to do so.
PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR LIMITED WARRANTY DESCRIBED HEREIN APPLIES ONLY TO
ORIGINAL PURCHASERS OF PRODUCT(S) PURCHASED FROM ORIGAMIRACK.COM DIRECTLY. IF
YOU PURCHASED YOUR PRODUCTS(S) FROM AN AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTOR, SUCH AS HSN OR
QVC, OR PURCHASED YOUR PRODUCT(S) FROM AMAZON.COM OR ANOTHER THIRD PARTY, YOUR
WARRANTY RIGHTS, IF ANY, MAY BE SUBJECT TO DIFFERENT OR ADDITIONAL TERMS.
PLEASE RETAIN YOUR PURCHASE RECEIPT SO THAT YOU CAN PRESENT IT TO US IF
NECESSARY. IN ADDITION, PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RETURN POLICY AND LIMITED
WARRANTY APPLY ONLY IF THE PRODUCT IN QUESTION IS IN THE UNITED STATES AT THE
TIME YOU WISH TO RETURN IT.
Limited One Year Warranty Who and what does this Warranty cover?
We stand behind our products and offer a 1-Year Limited Warranty to prove it.
The terms of the Warranty are as follows: Your new Origami rack product (a
“Product”) is covered by a 1-year limited warranty (the “Warranty”), which
gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights, but those vary
from state to state. This Warranty is not transferable and covers you only if
you (a) are the original purchaser and current owner of the Origami rack
Product for which you are seeking recourse under the Warranty and (b)
purchased the Product directly from origamirack.com. The Limited Warranty
therefore only applies during the period in which the Product is owned and
controlled by the original purchaser of that Product. PLEASE RETAIN YOUR
PURCHASE RECEIPT SO THAT YOU CAN PRESENT IT TO US IF NECESSARY.
In addition, because we cannot handle intonational shipping and logistics
expenses, your Product must be in the United States at the time you wish to
take advantage of the Warranty.
We warrant that the Product you have purchased will be free from material
defects resulting from defective materials or workmanship that are discovered
within one year from the date of purchase.
Specifically, this Warranty covers the following defects that are discovered
within one year from the date of purchase by the original purchaser, provided
that they arise or appear in circumstances in which you have handled,
maintained, and used the Product only for its intended purpose and have not
subjected it to conditions likely to cause deterioration or damage beyond
normal wear:
- A visible defect in the construction (e.g., metal is bent, scratched or not functional) upon arrival of the Product. You are entitled up to 30 days to claim a defect described above starting after delivery of the order. If you have questions about whether the purpose for which you are planning or intend to use the Product is appropriate, please contact service@origamirack.com
- Any physical flaw in the rack material that causes it to split or crack under conditions of normal use and proper handling.
- Any manufacturing defect in the Product cover such as color tearing or mechanical unraveling.
What will Origami Rack do?
We will repair or replace the defective Product or the defective component(s)
of the Product (e.g., hinges, wheels, if applicable). In the case of a
manufacturing defect in a component of the Product, such as the color coating,
we may elect to repair or replace the component rather than replace the entire
Product, and we reserve sole and complete discretion over that election. If we
elect to replace the Product or component, we will replace it with the model,
version, color, or style available at the time of replacement, which may be
different in certain of California respects than the original. If you wish to
replace a defective product with a more expensive Product, you may be required
to pay the difference in price between the original Product and the more
expensive Product.
Any repair or replacement will not extend the original period of this limited
warranty, nor will it constitute the beginning of a new limited warranty
period.
In case the item needs to be replaced due to a manufacture defect as described
above, we cover the shipping costs and send out a replacement within 3-5
business days.
Limited Return Policy – What is not covered by this warranty? Delivered
Products that don’t show any of the defects above are eligible for returns and
a refund of the original purchase price, subject to certain restrictions.
Restrictions: You are responsible to arrange the return shipping and to cover
the costs of the shipment. Further, you must provide a valid tracking number
for your return. Once the return is received, Origami rack will process the
refund, which can take 3-8 business days. You have the option to not pay for
the fretum shipment costs upfront. If you chose this option, we will cover the
return shipping costs and subtract the shipping costs from the refund of your
original purchase price. PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE SHIPPING COSTS CAN BE UP TO
50% OF YOUR ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE. In the case of shipments being retimed
back to us due to wrong addresses, PO Boxes or inability to deliver, the
customer is responsible for all fees that can accrue. If you need further
information on how much your individual shipping costs will be, please contact
our support at help@origamirack.com.
This Warranty does not cover changes to your Product that are caused by or
result from normal wear and use. Nor do we cover changes caused by or
resulting from circumstances or uses that go beyond the ordinary, intended
maintenance and uses of a Product. If you have questions about proper
maintenance and use of your Product, please contact us at
help@origamirack.com. For example, Origami
products are designed to work on a firm, solid surface that is structurally
capable of supporting the weight of the rack and its stored goods (please
review the individual
maximum weight capacity for each product). This Warranty does not cover your
Product if you use it in a manner incompatible with that intended design and
use. This warranty does not cover damage to any goods that fall off the
storage unit.
In addition, some degree of individualization of your origami rack product
should be expected. Imperfections that do not prevent ordinary use and
enjoyment of the Product by a reasonable person are not considered to be
defects. For example, surfaces may not be perfectly even, and corners may not
be perfectly shaped or symmetrical. These are not °defects” for which you can
seek a remedy under this Warranty.
More specifically, this Warranty excludes: (a) minor imperfections and slight
cosmetic flaws; (b) normal wear and tear (c) tears, stains, soiling, burns,
and discoloration that occur over time; (d) individual or personalized
preferences relating to texture, etc.; (e) individual or personalized
allergies and sensitivities. In addition, this Warranty does not cover
conditions resulting from abusive handling, misuse, or neglect. Accordingly,
the following circumstances, if discovered upon inspection, will void your
Warranty: (a) any unsanitary condition; (b) burns; (c) physically abusing the
Product; (e) attempting to clean the Product in an inappropriate manner; and
(f) purchase from resellers such as Amazon.com, HSN and QVC. If you purchased
your origami rack product from one of these retailers, please contact their
customer service for further instructions. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER STATE LAW. Some
states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages in connection with the sale of consumer products, so the above
limitation or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages may not apply
to you. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have
other rights that vary from state to state. State of California.

problem or condition that you believe constitutes a defect; 2) proof of
