Getting to know your Smart In-Wall Outlet
NEUTRAL wire (not provided) is needed for installation.
| Status indicator | Status |
|---|---|
| Greenblinking | Device is ready for setup.c |
| Solid green | Device is on. |
| Indicator off | Device is off. |
| Red blinking | No network connection. |
| Solid red | Setup has timed out. |
| Red and green blinking alternately | Factory reset is in progress. |
| Greenblinking | Factory reset is Factory reset is completed and device is ready |
for setup.
Preparation
- Download the latest version of the Alexa app from the app store.
- Open the app to login/register to an Amazon account.
- Install and switch on the device (see 6. Electrical Wiring in the User Manual). Status indicator 2 blinks green, device is ready for setup.

NEUTRAL wire (not provided) is needed for installation.
Set Up your Smart In-Wall Outlet with Alexa
- Open the Alexa app and tap the “More” icon on bottom-right side of the screen.
- Tap “Add a Device”.
- Select “Plug” -> “Amazon Basics” -> select your corresponding device, then follow the on-screen instructions. If prompted by the app, scan the 2D barcode on the front of the back wall plate or on the back page of the Quick Start Guide.
NOTICE
To locate the 2D barcode on the device, remove the front wall plate on the
main unit.
Use with Alexa Voice Commands
To use your device with Alexa, just say.
- “Alexa, turn on first plug”
Having Trouble with your Smart In-Wall Outlet?
If your smart In-Wall Outlet stops working or cannot connect, try a factory reset.
Press and hold the arrow down button for 10 seconds. Release the button once you see the status indicator blinks green and red alternatively. The status indicator blinks green when reset is complete. Then set up the device again.
