Hazards of improper handling of accidental breakage
a. The refrigerant ( R134a) used, if overexposed, might cause dizziness and loss of concentration. Liquid contact can cause irritation and frostbite. The refngerant( R600a), squirting out of the pipes could ignite or cause eye injury.
b. The blowing agent cyclopentane is highly flammable liquid and vapor. Harmful to aquatic life. Contact with liquid may cause coid bums / frost bites. Repeated exposure causes skin dryness. -

This appliance contains a small amount of isobutane refrigerant (R600a),
natural gas with high environmental compatibility, but it is also combustible.
When transporting and installing the appliance, care should be taken to ensure
that no parts of the refrigerating circuit are damaged. Refrigerant squirting
out of the pipes could ignite or cause an eye injury. If a leak is detected,
avoid any naked flames or potential sources of ignition and ventilate the room
in which the appliance is installed for several minutes.
Never start up an appliance showing any signs of damage. If any doubt, consult
your dealer.

Child Entrapment Warning

To prevent injury to the user and property damage, the following instructions
must be followed.
Incorrect operation due to ignoring of instruction will cause harm or damage,
the seriousness is classified by the following indications.
Do not modify power cord length or share the outlet with other appliances.

CAUTION
During Vacations
Ouring average length vacations, you will probably find it best to leave the
refrigerator in operation.
Place freezable items in freezer for longer life. When you plan to be away for
an extended period, remove all food, disconnect the power cord, clean the
interior thoroughly, and leave each door OPEN to prevent odour formation. To
operate again, let the refrigerator run for 6-6 hrs. for stabilization.
Shifting
While shifting the refrigerator, two people should carry it for its safety.
Fasten the door with tape or lock to prevent opening of the refrigerator.
Always remove Gasket when discarding Refrigerator
Cleaning (Use only non-inflammable cleaners)
Cleaning of Interior Parts is recommended. Wash all compartments with a mild
baking soda solution, then rinse and dry the compartment. Use a lukewarm
solution of mild soap or detergent to clean the exterior finish of your
refrigerator. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and then dry.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as
— staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
— farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
— bed and breakfast type environments;
— catering and similar non-retail applications. -

This appliance is not intenes or use sy persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruc-tion concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

If you are leaving the appliance turned off for an extended period of time, remove all food and unplug the power cord. Clean the interior, and leave the doors slightly ajar to prevent mold from growing in the appliance

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Installation
Refrigerator should be located properly in ventilated area.
Levelling of refrigerator should be done with front legs. Refrigerator should
be levelled with front to back inclination for base.
After installing the appliance, connect the power plug into a socket outlet.
Before moving and discarding the appliance, disconnect the plug from the
socket outlet. / *xIn case of Base stand model

Operating Procedure
DEFROSTING : It is natural for moisture in there air to condense on the
cold surface. This leads to a regular build up of frost on the surface of the
freezer. Defrost regularly to avoid heavy frost building on the evaporator
which results in reduced cooling efficiency.
Do not use sharp tool to remove ice tray, otherwise you may puncture the
evaporator resulting gas leakage thus non performance of refrigerator.
Ambient Temperature
- The appliance is designed to operate within a limited range of ambient temperatures, depending on the climate zone. Do not use the appliance at a temperature exceeding the limit. The internal temperatures could be affected by the location of the appliance, the ambient temperature, the frequency of door opening and so on.

- Too small of a distance from adjacent items may result in degradation of freezing capability and increased electricity costs. Allow over 500mm clearance from each adjacent wall when installing the appliance.

Lamp Replacement
- NOTE Not all appliance bulbs will fit your refrigerator. Be sure to replace the bulb with one of the same size, shape and wattage.
- Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
- Make sure the bulbs are cool to touch.
- Remove the lamp by turning it counterclockwise.
- Put new lamp and tighten it by turning it clockwise.
- Make sure the bulb is properly tightened.
- Put the cover lamp back and push it gently with your thumb till a click sound appears.
How to get good results
Cover or wrap all foods that you put into your refrigerator with polythene or
aluminium foil, preventing the mixing of flavours and to keep the food from
drying.|

Don’t keep hot milk or hot food in your refrigerator.
This will result in an increased temperature and increase in power
consumption.|
Do not leave refrigerator open for long time. Don’t open the refrigerator door
too often, hot air will enter and increase the temperature.|
Never overload your refrigerator or cover the shelves with paper or plastic
sheets as it will reduce its efficiency.|
Close the door properly, make sure that there is no gap between the gasket and
the cabinet of your LG refrigerator.|
Wipe excessive moisture on food or place it inside containers or plastic bags.
This will help in retaining its freshness for a longer period of time.|

Before Calling for Service
Type of Complaint | Probable Cause | Remedy |

1. Refrigerator does not work. | — Thermostat switch in ‘OFF’ position. – |
Power Supply Off.
– Stabilizer not working properly
— Fuse Blown/Circuit Breaker tripped.
| Remed Check that the thermostat knob is on ‘Normal’ (No.4) position and not
in OFF position.
Check that the refrigerator main supply plug is connected to the wall socket
and that the supply is ON. Check that the fuse is intact in the supply line.
Please plug power cord of refrigerator directly in the wall socket and then
check, if it works then get the stabilizer checked by Stabilizer Repairing
Centre. Replace the fuse or reset circuit breaker. Do not increase fuse
capacity. In case of circuit overload – call an electrician. Appliance may be
connected to a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter). Reset circuit breaker
– if problem persists, contact an electrician
2. Refrigerator attempts to start, but does not operate.| — Low Voltage.|
Install a line-correcting transformer in the mains, or a Voltage Stabilizer.
3. Refrigerator contents not cooling. And Difficulty in formation of ice and
ice-cream.| — Defrosting over due
— Restriction of cold air circulation.
— Improper thermostat control selection.
– Storing hot foods.| Defrost the refrigerator. Provide space in between the
dishes. If the shelves are covered with cloth or polythene, remove it. If the
refrigerator is required to give a low temperature turn the thermostat knob
towards colder (No.7) position. Avoid storing hot foods in the refrigerator,
cool them to room temperature before placing them inside the refrigerator.
4. Formation of water drops on exterior of refrigerator.| — High humidity
during monsoon season.| During the monsoon, when the humidity in the
atmosphere reaches around 90%, water droplets may form around the sides of the
refrigerator cabinet, especially the top portion. This moisture should be
wiped off periodically. Contact our serviceman to check the door seal or
proper and uniform contact with the cabinet.
5. Formation of droplets on the underside of the Chiller tray.| — Hot and
humid climate.| In hot and humid weather the moist air rushes inside whenever
the refrigerator door is opened.
6. Smell and odour.| – Improper covering and wrapping of food.| This results
in excess frosting on the Evaporator and condensation on the Chiller tray
bottom. Avoid too frequent door openings. Wrap and cover food stuffs properly.
Place caps on bottles and other liquid stores. If the smell persists, defrost
the refrigerator, remove all foodstuffs, clean the refrigerator thoroughly and
wipe it dry before restarting.
7. Noise| — Normal cut-off/ cut-in noise| Whenever refrigerator starts & stop
there is noise of Thermostat cut-off/ cut-in & Compressor start/stop. This is
a normal phenomenon.
8. Noise from Freezer| — Hissing noise from Freezer| This is normal gas expansion noise
9. Bulb does not glow| — Bulb fused| Bulb is not covered under warranty LG Service Engineer will replace this on cost basis.
10. Vibrating| — If the side or back of the appliance is touching a cabinet
or wall, some of the normal vibrations may make an audible sound.| To
eliminate the noise, make sure that the sides and back do not make any
contract with any wall or cabinet.
WARRANTY CARD
The LG Refrigerator (hereafter referred as product} comes with 1 year warranty
on all Parts (except Consumables, Bulb, Loose Plastic Parts, Glass) in the
first year from the date of purchase on producing the tax paid invoice
provided always that the warranty card beass the ubber stamp, date and
signature of our Authorized Dealer showing the Additional warranty on
compressor as specified below shall be on fulfilling the above mentioned
conditions.
9 (SELECTED MODEL) YEAR ADDITIONAL WARRANTY ON COMPRESSOR
‘The 9 (Selected Model) YEAR warranty on Compressor will continue even after
the expiry of t year period from the date of purchase.
Thie warranty covers Compressor only. Gas/ Gaa charging will be charge to
customer. Gas charging is included only when compressor is defective &
inoperative. During the additional warranty period, it does not cover any part
such as PCB assembly, condenser, freezer, capillary, suction line, overload
protector, relay, thermostat etc.. Standard visiting charges will be
applicable within the municipal limit of town where LG Electronics India PV.
Ltd. (LGEIL} has its Authorized Service centre, Service outside munécipal
limit will attract to and fro travelling, other incidental expenses in
addition to visiting charges, as prevailing from time to time. During the
warranty period, only the parts replaced or repaired shall be free of cost,
but service chasges shall always be payable by the customer.
Common TERMS & CONDITIONS applicable for warranties as mentioned above:

The warranty is confined to the first purchaser of the Refrigerator only & is non-transferable.

Repairs & replacements will be carried out through the Authorized Service Centres of LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd. (hereinafter referred as LG of LGEIL). Customer may place thelr service call through the LG customer care or through the dealer from whom the product has been purchased. In case the customer shifis the place of residence during warranty period, itis advised to contact our helpline.

Repair under warranty shall be carried out by an authorized service personnel only. The details of cantralized helplines are attached.

For units installed beyond municipal limits of the jurisdiction of company’s Authorized Service Cente, it is responsibility of the purchaser to contact the nearest authorized service centre and bring the unit to the authorized service at its own cost and risk. All expense incurred in collecting the units or parts thereof from the company’s authorized service centre, as well as expenses incurred with deputing of service Personnel/technician toward conveyance and other incidentals etc. will be borne by the customer. Local charges for transportation and handfing charges may vary from location to location. Customers are advised to verify before. In case the customer desires to bring the unit ‘onils own to the Authorized Service Cerre, the same shall be at its own risks & consequences.

The concerned authorized service centre will advise the customer whether to effect the repairs at site or at the authorized service centre.

Call registered with the centralized helpline/Authorized service centre, wherein onty cleaning of the unit/parts in the unit due to dust
accumulation on portions of the units are not to be considered as defects. -
in case of repairs or replacement of any part’s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty, LGEIL may use parts that are new or refurbished and equivalent to new in performance and refiability. Replacement of parts would be purely at the discretion of LGEIL alone. In case the replacement of the entire unit is being made, (subject to the sole discretion of LGEIL), the same model shail be replaced and in the event such model has been discontinued, ft shall be reptaced with the model price equivalent at the time of purchase.

In case of any damage to the product/customer abuse/repairs by un-authorized personnel’s/ misuse datacted/ by the Authorized Service Centre personnel, the warranty conditions are not applicable and repairs will be done subject to availability of parts and on a chargeable basis only.

This warranty shail not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or toss to property oF life arising directly or indirectly out of any defect being noticed in the equipment during warranty pesiod Refrigerator. The company’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or providing replacement of defective parts only under the warranty periad.

The company or its Authorized Service Centre reserves the right to retain any part’s or component replaced its discretion, in the event of defect being noticed in the equipment during warranty period, While the company wil make every effort to carry out repairs at the eartest, it however is made expressly clear that the company is under
No obligation to do soin a specified period of time. -
in the event of any unforeseen circumstance, and spares not being available, the company’s prevailing depreciation rules will be binding onthe purchaser to acceptas a commercial solution in Keu of repairs.

The reptaced shades, pattems, tints may vary from the customer’s unit due to continuous usage of the unit. Any matching components changed at customer’s request will be chargeable basis except the component which actually needed.

Any extended warranty offered by LGEIL has to be supported by relevant proof.

Warranty shail expire after the warranty period as mentioned above even if the Refrigerator may not be in use for any time during the warranty period for any reason.

Only courts in state of Delhi and ptaces where LGEIL has its branch office shail have the juriediction for settling any claims, disputes. arising under the warranty.

Warranty does not cover accessories extemal to the equipment supplied by the dealer.

Warranty ts not applicable in any of the following cases where:
a} the warranty cardis not completed property at the time of purchase, b) the completed warranty card is not presented to authorized service Personnel at the time of service of the product, ¢) the product is not operated according to instructions given in the Operating Instruction BookletOwner’s Manual, d) the product is used for commercial purposes, e) the product has faded under certain conditions like vrater logging , flood . fwe , misuse etc., f} defects/maltunction are caused by improper or reckless use. which shall be determined by the company personnel, g) any repair work is carried out by persons other than authorized service personnel, h} defect/maifunction are caused which are beyond control like lightening, abnormal voltage, Acts of God, virus etc.. 1} any issue is caused by usage of 3rd party product like voltage stabilizer, power outlet socket, MCB, extension board etc., j) defecta/malfunction caused while in transit to service centre or purchaser’s residence, k) defacts caused by rodents bits or by pests and vermin ants/Insacts/animats/birds atc., I} the serial number is deleted, defected or altered, m) damage is caused to the product or any partis due to transportation or shifting, n) use of knife or sharp instrument is used to remove the ice trays or ice from the freezer or to remove the frost mechanically and as a result Compressor, Evaporator, Condensers, capillary, suction line & other related items get spoiled, ©} any accessory external to the equipment are supplied by dealer or LG, p) any issue of Wi-Fi connectivity or compatibaity with other products or software’s is there, q) any loss of data.
