Product Information
The HLG | TOMAHAWKTM BAR LAMP 650W is a high-performance horticulture lighting
solution designed for vertical farming or low ceiling grow operations. With
its revolutionary design, this lamp provides improved photon delivery to the
canopy, enhancing plant growth and maximizing yields. It features 5 bars of
Full Spectrum White with Deep Red LEDs, offering a comprehensive range of
light for both full and flower cycles.
The lamp has a power output of 650W and an LED PPF efficacy of 2.94 mol/joule.
It operates within a voltage range of 120VAC – 277VAC at a frequency of 50/60
Hz. The flowering footprint is 5′ x 5′, and the recommended mounting height
above the canopy ranges from 8 to 24 inches. The lamp utilizes a passive-
cooled design for thermal management, with a maximum ambient temperature of
40°C (104°F). It also offers dimming options including 0-10V Dimmable, RJ11
Straight, and Wireless.
The HLG Tomahawk Bar Lamp comes with a 5-year warranty, covering the entire
luminaire including the LED board, drivers, and other electrical components.
It is UL 8800, CSA, and DLC certified for safety and performance.
Product Usage Instructions
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
The HLG Tomahawk 650 is designed for chain or suspension mounting only.
Follow these instructions for proper installation
- Before mounting, ensure that the mounting structure can support a minimum of 20 lbs.
- Install the lamp on a non-combustible surface only.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 5 inches from the ceiling or hanging structure.
- If the fixture is installed closer to the hanging structure than the recommended minimum height, an active cooling device such as a fan must be used directly on the unit to reduce excess heat to the driver. Failure to do so may result in overheating and thermal overload.
- If using the driver mounted on the lamp, the minimum distance from the ceiling must be 15 inches.

WARRANTY
Horticulture Lighting Group offers a 1 to 5 Year Limited Warranty for their
products. The warranty covers manufacturing defects or product failures when
used properly for their intended applications. Technical support is available
by phone and email for troubleshooting.
ORDER CANCELLATION
If you need to cancel an order before shipping, you will be refunded the
full cost of the order minus a 3% transaction processing fee. Orders canceled
after shipping but before delivery will be refunded the full cost of the order
minus shipping and return fees.
RETURNS
The HLG Tomahawk 650W comes with a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. If you wish
to return the product, please follow the instructions provided in the user
manual. Returns can be mailed or shipped to Horticulture Lighting Group at the

HLG Tomahawk Bar Lamp’s revolutionary design has been created specifically for
high PPFD cultivation in vertical farming or low ceiling grow operations. With
650W of power and 5 bars of Full Spectrum White with Deep Red LEDs, this lamp
provides a comprehensive range of light that can enhance plant growth and
maximize yields.
The HLG Tomahawk boasts convenient features such as dimming capabilities,
ultra-lightweight construction, and easy installation with a remote mountable
driver. The integrated asymmetrical reflectors increase photon delivery
resulting in higher quality yields even at lower levels of the canopy while
minimizing hot spots. This improved open design allows for unobstructed
airflow for more efficient ventilation, making it an ideal choice for vertical
rack and tent grows. This lamp produces over 1859 PPF output with photon
efficacy of 2.81 µmol/joule.
SPECIFICATIONS
- 5 year Warranty covers entire luminaire including LED board, Drivers and other electrical components.
- Specifications based on performance at 220V. Specifications subject to change without notice.
- For best results it is recommended to maintain temperature of grow room at 78° F – 85° F. *Please note, this is a high power lamp and will need to be dimmed for veg use. **When using a timer with 220V or higher, a dual pole timer is required.

WARRANTY
Horticulture Lighting Group Products: 1 to 5 Year Limited Warranties, or
otherwise stated. Please see Product Warranty relevant to the specific HLG
Products for detailed information.
All Horticulture Lighting Group products are guaranteed with a limited
warranty to the original purchaser. Warranty is valid for manufacturing
defects or product failures only when products are properly used for their
intended applications. If you experience an issue with a product, a technician
from our support team may be able to diagnose the issue. Technical support is
available by phone and email.
ORDER CANCELLATION
Orders canceled prior to shipping will be refunded the full cost of the order
minus 3% transaction processing fee. Orders canceled after shipping but before
delivery will be refunded the full cost of the order minus shipping and return
fee.

our products. We guarantee that the quality of all our merchandise will meet
or exceed expectations. Every effort is made to ensure your merchandise is
manufactured and shipped in perfect condition. But, if for any reason you are
not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return any item in its
original condition within 30 days of receipt and we will gladly provide a
refund, replacement, or an exchange.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, Horticulture Lighting Group will
refund the full cost of the returned item minus shipping and 10% restocking
fee. If an order shipped is defective, Horticulture Lighting Group will also
reimburse you for the shipping charges for the original product.
To qualify for a refund, replacement or exchange, your item must be unused and
in the same condition as received and must be in the original packaging.
Our facility representatives will inspect and verify the condition of the item
once it is received at HLG. Upon approval, a refund for the full cost of the
returned item will be granted. If an order shipped is defective, you will also
receive reimbursement for the shipping charges that apply to send the order
back to us.
Under certain situations a partial refund may be granted and must be approved
by Horticulture Lighting Group ONLY before any return for refund, replacement
or exchange process can begin. Exceptions to the full refund include any items
not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for any reason
deemed not due to our error. We do not issue refunds for items that are re-
turned more than 30 days after delivery.

- If contacting by email : Please email warranty@hlg.com your order number, date of purchase and store where purchased and your contact information. Please include an explanation for the request for a refund or an exchange. We will then contact you by email or phone with ship-ping instructions.
- If contacting by phone : Please have your information ready and call us at 877-445-4533 x4 to begin the process.
A package without proper return authorization will not be accepted for refund.
EXCHANGING ITEMS
If you prefer to exchange your item for another Horticulture Lighting Group
product, please contact us to discuss your needs. The item must be in its
original condition and the exchange request made within 30 days of receipt of
the item. After speaking with a Horticulture Lighting Group representative,
you can place a new order on the website and send back the original order for
credit, or the representative may place the order for you directly and arrange
return shipping. The returned light must be received before.
Concerning defective items please contact us to arrange a return. Upon receipt
to HLG, the returned item will be inspected by a qualified technician who will
verify that the defect was not caused by negligence, abuse, unauthorized
repair or disassembly. For approved warranty exchanges of defective items, the
defective items in question must be shipped back before an exchange will take
place. After approval has been granted, HLG will replace the product with the
same product. In the case the exact product is no longer available, a product
of equal value may be substituted.
REFUNDS
The item MUST be postmarked and shipped to Horticulture Lighting Group WITHIN
THIRTY(30) DAYS from the date of receipt of the order. Each item must be
returned in the same condition as it was sent, unworn and undamaged. Items
that have been worn and damaged due to customer negligence cannot be returned.
Any order refunded as a result of a cancellation, will be subject to a 10%
restocking fee.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to
notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you
of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will
automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment,
within 7 business days.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE
A CREDIT FOR A RETURNED ITEM?
After we receive the returned item and it is inspected, we will send you an
email to notify you that your returned item has been received. We will also
notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. It takes between 1 and
5 days to complete the return process. A refund or customer credit (for
exchanges) will be issued within 1 to 5 business days. All refunds will be
issued in the original form of payment. Please allow one monthly billing cycle
for the credit to appear on your credit card statement.

- You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning any item not deemed to be covered under the return warranty. Shipping costs are non-refundable for wrong item purchase or changing your order. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be included in your refund or a return label will be provided. Upon approval, we will provide a shipping label via email or a label will be included in the replacement item shipment box.
- Depending on your shipping address, the time it may take for your replacement or exchanged prod-uct to reach you, may vary.

EYE EXPOSURE
- Injury may occur if eyes are subjected to prolonged direct exposure to bright light. Wear approved eye protection for protection from UV rays, and appropriate certification compliances for LED lighting.
- Do not use lamps in applications where humans and/or animals will be subjected to direct long-term uncomfortable visual exposure to light emissions as this could result in eye injury. If lamp appears damaged, remove power and then repair or request replacement the product.
BURN WARNING
- Operating lamps may become hot and may involve some risk or causing fire or serious bodily injury or other damages. Use of temperature resistant gloves is recommended.
- Always allow sufficient time for product to cool prior to touching.
ELECTRICAL HAZARD
- Electrical shock hazard is always associated with the use of electrical appliances and working with electricity. Do not use if cords or plugs are damaged or with loose electrical sockets. Unsecured connections can cause electrical shock or fire. Do not touch the power cord with wet hands or disconnect from power source by pulling on the cord, as doing so may result in electrical shock. Do not bend or damage the pow-er cord or unit wiring, as doing so may cause electrical shock or fire. User holds sole liability and responsibility for proper use, handling and installation of this product.
- When performing any troubleshooting please disconnect the AC power and wait 30 seconds for power supply to de-energize. It is also important to follow this step be-fore any inspection, adjustment or maintenance to lamps.
ENVIRONMENT
- All disposal options should be evaluated with respect to federal, state, and local requirements. Before disposing of waste lamps and components, check with federal, state, and/or local officials for current guidelines and regulations.
CAUTION
Failure to comply with safety cautions and regulations can cause injury or
property damage.
- Care and use your device properly. Do not use the device for anything other than its intended use.
- Damages or poor performance caused by failure to follow warnings and instructions can void your manufacturer’s warranty.

Buyer accepts responsibility for any and all grow lamps and components and any
product operation that may lead to personal injury, economic loss, social
distress, death or other losses including costs and damages. Horticulture
Lighting Group is not responsible for misuse of any of their products. The
purchaser is solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and
regulations concerning the use of Horticulture Lighting Group products.

Achieve higher intensity and increase even coverage in a grow tent, reflective
area, or cross-over by using multiple lamps.
All HLG products are tested for quality assurance prior to packaging and
