Retrofitting to flush operation
Geberit Selva, Preda and Tamina urinals for integrated flush control (art. no. 116.075.00.1, 116.085.00.1 and 116.142.00.1) are supplied without a urinal flush control. It is possible to retrofit the urinals to flush operation by installing a urinal flush control. Installation of the urinal flush control is described in the following documents:

  • Installation manual for Geberit Selva urinals (art. no. 970.645.00.0)
  • Installation manual for Geberit Preda urinals (art. no. 970.644.00.0)
  • Installation manual for Geberit Tamina urinals (art. no. 970.646.00.0)

Operation

Geberit Apps

  • Various Geberit apps are available for operation, settings and maintenance. The apps commu-nicate with the device via a Bluetooth® interface.
  • The Geberit apps are available free of charge for Android and iOS smartphones in the respective App Stores.

Actuating the flush
The electronic flush actuation has infrared leg detection. The leg detection range starts approx. 50 cm in front of the urinal.

  1. Enter the detection range and remain there for at least 10 seconds.
  2. Leave the detection range.
  3. The flush will actuate.
  4. For testing purposes, the flush can also be actuated with a Geberit app.

Maintenance

Structure of Maintenance chapter
The accompanying illustration sequences must be followed while carrying out the instructions provided in this chapter. Each set of instructions refers to the accom-panying  illustration sequence.

Caring for and cleaning smooth surfaces
All smooth surfaces can be cleaned hygienically with water and a mild, liquid cleaning agent that is kind to the skin.

ATTENTION
Surface damage caused by aggressive and scouring cleaning agents

  • Never use cleaning agents that contain chlorine or which are acidic, abrasive or corrosive.

Activating cleaning mode
To clean the urinal ceramic and to clean or replace the urinal trap, the flush actuation can be suppressed for a few minutes.

  • Activate cleaning mode with the Geberit app, Geberit Service Handy or Geberit Clean Handy.

Result

  • ✓ The flush actuation is suppressed for 10 minutes.
  • ✓ Once these 10 minutes have elapsed, a flush is actuated.

Notes:

  • You can only activate cleaning mode 30 minutes after activating the power supply or setting the flush time.
  • The cleaning time of 10 minutes can be changed with a Geberit app (1–20 minutes).

Cleaning or replacing the spray head

  • Clean the cover for the spray head and the nozzle with a mild, liquid cleaning agent at least once a year.
  • Descale the nozzle with a commercially available descaling agent if necessary.
  • Replace the nozzle if it can no longer be completely cleaned and descaled.

Prerequisite
– Refer to figure sequence 3 , page 241 while carrying out the instructions.

  1. Demount the urinal flush control to disconnect the water supply. → See figure sequence 1 , page 239.

  2. Demount the cover for the spray head.

  3. Demount the nozzle.

  4. Clean the nozzle and rinse with water, or replace the nozzle (art. no. 243.333.00.1).

  5. Mount the nozzle.

  6. Mount the cover for the spray head.

  7. Mount the urinal flush control. → See figure sequence 2 , page 240.

Result
The urinal is ready for operation.

Setting the flush time
The flush time can be adjusted to suit the user’s needs using a Geberit app.

Optimising the detection distance

If flushes are actuated too soon, too late or unintentionally, you can optimise the detection distance of the IR sensor with a Geberit app.

Restarting the urinal flush control

  • Disconnect the mains voltage for approximately 30 seconds.
  • ✓ If necessary, switch the fuse in the electrical distributor off and on again.

Result
The urinal flush control restarts.

Disposal

Constituents
This product meets the requirements of Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS) (restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment).

Disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment

  • The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin means that waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) must be disposed of separately and not with other non-recyclable waste.
  • End users are legally obliged to return old equipment to public waste disposal authorities, distributors, or Geberit for proper disposal. Many distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are obliged to take back WEEE free of charge. Contact the responsible sales or service company to return the WEEE to Geberit.
  • Used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed within the old equipment, as well as lamps that can be removed from the old equipment in a non-destructive manner, must be separated from the old equipment before being handed over to a disposal point.
  • If personal data is stored on the old equipment, end users themselves are responsible for deleting it before handing it over to a disposal point.
