IMPORTANT Read these instructions fully before using the heater. Retain these instructions for future reference.

ASSEMBLY OF THE HEATER

Before using the heater the feet supplied separately in the cartoon must be fitted to the unit. These are to be attached to the base of the heater using the 4 self-tapping screws provided taking care to ensure that they are located correctly in the bottom ends of the heater side moldings. CAUTION

  1. Warning: Do not usethis heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a s wimmingpool.
  2. Warning: In order toavoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
  3. The meaning of figure in marking is “DO NOT COVER”.
  4. Warning: heater must not be located immediately below asocket-outlet.
  5. Warning: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by themanufacturer, its servi ce agent or a similarly qualified person in order toavoid a hazard.
  6. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above andpersons with re duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack ofexperience and knowledge if they ha ve been given supervision or instructionconcerning use of the appliance in a safe way and un derstand the hazardsinvolved.
  7. Children shall not play with the appliance, cleaning and user maintenanceshall not be ma de by children without supervision.
  8. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuouslysupervised.
  9. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/offthe appliance pr ovided that it has been placed or installed in its intendednormal operating position and they h ave been given supervision or instructionconcerning use of the appliance in a safe way and nderstand the hazardsinvolved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in,regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
  10. CAUTION — Some parts of this product can become veryhot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children andvulnerable people are present.
  11. WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a deviceto control the room temperature. Do  not use this heater in small rooms whenthey are occupied by persons not capable of leavingthe room on their own,unless constant supervision is provided.

OPERATION OF THE HEATER

Note : It is normal when the heaters are turned on for the first time or when they are turned on after having been used for a long period of time the heaters may emit somesmell and fumes.This willdisappear when the heater has been on a short while.

Choose a suitable location for the heater taking into account the safety instructions above.
Insert the plug of the heater into a suitable socket.
Turn the thermostat knob fully in a clockwise directions to the maximum setting.
Turn on the heating elements by means of the rocker switches on the side panel.When the heating elements are on the switches will illuminate.For maximum heat output both switches should be on.
When the desired room temperature has been reached,the thermostat knob should be turned slowly anti-clockwise until the thermostat is heard to click off and the lights on the elements switches are seen to go out.After this the heater will keep the air temperature in the room at the set temperature by switching on and off automatically.

CLEANING THE HEAT

Always un-plug the heater from the wall socket and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
Clean the outside of the heater by wiping with a damp cloth and buff with a dry cloth.
Do not use any detergents or abrasives and do not allow any water to enter the heater.

STORING THE HEATER

When the heater is not used for long period of time it should be protected from dust and stored in a clean dry place.row pointer.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

The manufacturer provides warranty in accordance with the legislation of the customer’s own country of residence, with a minimum of 1 year (Germany: 2 years), starting from the date on which the appliance is sold to the end user.
The warranty only covers defects in material or workmanship.
The repairs under warranty may only be carried out by an authorized service centre. When making a claim under the warranty, the original bill of purchase (with purchase date) must be submitted.
The warranty will not apply in cases of:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Incorrect use, e.g. overloading of the appliance, use of non-approved accessories
  • Use of force, damage caused by external influences
  • Damage caused by non-observance of the user manual, e.g. connection to an unsuitable mains supply or non-compliance with the installation instructions
  • Partially or completely dismantled appliances
