Safety Instructions
Prior to using the Chainsaw Sharpening Kit, it is essential to read and
follow the provided safety instructions to ensure a safe operation. Failure to
do so may result in property damage or injury. One crucial safety measure is
to set the cutting angle and depth gauge correctly. Incorrect settings can
increase the risk of kickback, which can cause severe damage or injury. Refer
to the user manual for detailed instructions on setting the correct angle and
depth gauge.
Product Usage Instructions: Chainsaw Sharpening
- Before starting the sharpening process, ensure that the saw motor is switched off.
- Select a file guide of suitable size from the kit.
- Place the file guide on both the upper plate of the cutter and the depth gauge, ensuring it rests securely.
- Verify that the file is firmly seated in the guide groove.
- Lower the depth gauge tool over the saw chain, making sure the depth gauge is visible.
- Using a forward motion, run a file over the depth gauge until it no longer protrudes from the tool.
Note: If the surface of the top panels or side panels is damaged, file them back until the damaged area is removed. It is important to keep all the chain links equal. Start with the link with the most damage and file all the links back evenly. File all the links on one side of the chain first, then move to the other side and file all the links there to complete the process. Ensure that all the chain links are filed equally.
Filing Direction
First, sharpen the links on one side of the chain by filing each link from
the inside to the outside. Then, turn the saw over and repeat the process for
the links on the other side of the chain.

- Check the file guide components regularly for damage and signs of wear. Do not use the file if it is damaged.
