General information
This document provides you with additional information on how to connect your appliance with the components of your ventilation system.
IMPORTANT: This document is a supplement. Make sure you have read and understood the safety information in the Installation Instructions included with your appliance.
1.1 Overview of the ventilation system
Here you can find an overview of the components that constitute the
ventilation system.
The components shown are representative. The actual appearance may vary
according to the accessories you have selected.
- Appliance
- Control unit
- Blower unit (sold separately, not in the scope of delivery)
Establishing the duct connection

Determine the location of the duct connection according to the installation position.

Refer to the installation instructions of your blower unit on how to establish the ventilation line correctly.

Select the connecting piece depending on the installation position, and secure it to the appliance.
Note: If the connecting piece is fitted to the bottom of the
appliance, install the connecting piece before inserting the appliance into
the countertop. -
Secure the exhaust air duct to the connecting piece

Seal the exhaust air duct appropriately.
Establishing the electrical connections

Connect the connection cables as shown.

Connect model AL400792 with one blower unit.
a. Duct connection between appliance and blower unit
b. Control cable between appliance and control unit
c. The network cable between the control unit and blower unit
d. Connection to power supply from the control unit -
For model AL400722 we recommend installing two blower units for optimum performance.

d. Connection to power supply from the control unit -
Ensure that the plug connections for the control cable b between the control unit and the appliance click into place.

Ensure that the plug connections for the network cable c between the control unit and the blower unit click into place.
The connection sockets X1 and X2 are identical. You can connect the blower units in parallel or in series.
