Please note the following items to guard against electric shocking or personal injury:
If any damage to the test pencil or failure to operate, please do not use it. If any doubt, please deliver the test pencil for repair.
Please do not impose voltage exceeding the rating voltage on the test pencil.
There may be a danger of electric shock for voltage higher than 30V (AC), please pay attention to that in operation and observe the local and national safety codes of the country you are in.

CAT IV equipment is intended for protecting from transient voltage injury resulting from a first-level power source such as meters or overhead wires or ground wires infrastructure.

Notes:
no contact with the white part of the front end of the pencil body for your finger!

Working voltage and working condition

Working voltage: 90V-1000V AC
Working condition:

  1. Temperature: -10°C-50°C, storage: 10 °C-50°C Humidity: ≤95%
  2. Elevation: 3000m, cleaning: wet cloth

Operation instructions

Activate test pencil| Press once gently the button labeled with the power symbol, buzzer, and LED and the motor will work concurrently for 0.5 seconds, indicating the test pencil is activated successfully. While entering the test standby status, LED will flicker two times continuously with an interval of 1.5 seconds.

AC voltage test| 1)Under non-vibration mode, put probe of test pencil close to the object being tested with AC voltage, LED will flick and buzz
2)Under vibration mode, put probe of test pencil close to the object being tested with AC voltage, LED will flick and buzz, and motor vibrate.
Power off automatically| The battery will power off automatically for energy saving if do not use the test pencil for about 3 minutes Buzzer and LED will work concurrently for 1 second, indicating power off successfully.
Stop using motor| Press the button gently after powering on, LED flickers buzzer works, but the motor fails to vibrate, a mode called non-vibration (shifting between vibration and non-vibration mode with button after power on).
Stop using t est pencil| Press the button for about 2 seconds to power off the test pencil with 1 second of the buzzer and LED light for 1 second.

Indication for low electricity of the battery

IV. Indication for low electricity of battery When the battery voltage is lower than 1.75V, the LED will flicker 5 times slowly after powering on, and the buzzer, if any signal, may sound faint, and the motor vibrates weakly. Please replace the battery immediately for test accuracy.

Battery replacement

Battery: 2×1.5V AAA

  1. with one hand holding the test pencil body, and the thumb of the other hand pressing the control position of the pencil head and extending it backward.UNI-T UT12C AC Voltage Detector -
