iLIVE iHB603B Wireless Speaker System
Product Information
The IHB603B is a Bluetooth CD Radio Home Music System manufactured by iLive Electronics. It is equipped with a Class 1 laser to read Compact Discs and features a built-in CD player, FM radio, and Bluetooth connectivity for wireless audio streaming. The system also comes with a remote control for convenient operation.

- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

Warnings and Precautions
- Mains Plug or Direct plug-in adapter is used as disconnect device and it should remain readily operable during intended use. In order to disconnect the apparatus from the mains completely, the Mains Plug or Direct plug-in adapter should be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely.
- RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK DO NOT OPEN
- The remote control supplied with this product contains a button-cell battery that could be accidentally ingested by children. Do not leave button-cell batteries accessible to children.
- The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
- The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.
- This product utilizes a Class 1 laser to read Compact Discs. Invisible laser radiation is present when the CD Player’s lid is open and the system’s interlock has failed or been defeated. It is very important that you avoid direct exposure to the laser beam at all times. Please do not attempt to defeat or bypass the safety switches.
Product Usage Instructions
To use the IHB603B Bluetooth CD Radio Home Music System, follow these steps:
- Make sure the system is connected to a power source using the provided Mains Plug or Direct plug-in adapter.
- Turn on the system by pressing the power button located on the main unit or using the power button on the remote control.
- To play music from a CD, press the CD button on the main unit or the remote control. Open the CD player door and place a CD onto the tray. Close the door and press the play button to start playback.
- To listen to FM radio, press the FM button on the main unit or the remote control. Use the tuning buttons to search for your desired radio station. Press the play button to start listening.
- To connect a Bluetooth device, make sure the Bluetooth function is enabled on your device. Press the Bluetooth button on the main unit or the remote control. The system will enter pairing mode and appear as a discoverable device on your Bluetooth device’s settings. Select the system from the list of available devices to establish the connection.
- Adjust the volume, skip tracks, and control playback using the buttons on the main unit or the remote control.
- To turn off the system, press the power button again or use the power button on the remote control.

- WARNING: Do not place this unit directly onto furniture surfaces with any type of soft, porous, or sensitive finish. As with any rubber compound made withoils, the feet could cause marks or staining where the feet reside. We recommend using a protective barrier such as a cloth or a piece of glass between the unit and the surface to reduce the risk of damage and/or staining.
- WARNING: Use of this unit near fluorescent lighting may cause interference regarding use of the remote. If the unit is displaying erratic behavior move away from any fluorescent lighting, as it may be the cause.
- CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
- WARNING: The battery, batteries, and battery pack shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or the like.
- WARNING: The remote control supplied with this product contains a button-cell battery that could be accidentally ingested by children. Do not leave buttoncell batteries accessible to children. If swallowed, promptly see doctor and call 202-625-3333.
- WARNING: Lithium batteries, like all rechargeable batteries are recyclable and should be recycled or disposed of in normal household waste. Contact your local government for disposal or recycling practices in your area. They should never be incinerated since they might explode.

WARNING: The remote control’s button cell battery contains mercury. Do not put in the trash, instead recycle or dispose of as hazardous waste.
Clock
Setting the Clock
- Press and hold the Power button to turn the music system off.
- Press and hold the CLK Set/Sleep button on the music system. The hour will begin to blink on the display.
- Press the Skip/Search buttons to adjust the hour. A “PM” indicator will appear on the display when the time is set to the PM.
- Press the CLK Set/Sleep button to set the adjusted hour. The minute will begin to blink on the display.
- Press the Skip/Search buttons to adjust the minute.
- Press the CLK Set/Sleep button to finish setting the clock.
Setting the Alarm
- With the unit powered off, press and hold the Alarm/EQ button. The display will flash.
- Press the Skip/Search buttons to adjust the hour. A “PM” indicator will appear on the display when the time is set to the PM.
- Press the Alarm/EQ button to set the adjusted hour. The minute will begin to blink on the display.
- Press the Skip/Search buttons to adjust the minute.
- Press the Alarm/EQ button to set the adjusted minute. The alarm source will begin to blink on the display.
- Press the Skip/Search buttons to adjust the alarm source. bu-Buzzer, rad-Radio, Cd-CD
- Note: Please refer to the Radio and CD sections for additional information on the preferred settings.
- Press the Alarm/EQ button to finish setting the alarm.
- The unit will power on when the set time is reached.
- To cancel the alarm, press the Alarm/ EQ button once. To turn it back on, press the Alarm/EQ button again.
Bluetooth Setup & Charging
Pairing a Bluetooth Device
- Power on the unit by pressing the Power button.
- Press the Source button to switch to Bluetooth Mode. The display will show the flashing letters “bt”.
- Press and hold the Pair button.
- “BT”will flash quickly on the display. When pairing, remain within 3 feet of the unit.
- Using the native controls on your Bluetooth device, select the “IHB603” in your Bluetooth settings to pair. If your device requests a password, enter the default password “ 0 0 0 0 ”. Refer to the user’s manual for your specific device for instructions on pairing and connecting Bluetooth devices.
- When successfully paired, the pairing indicator will remain solid. After initial pairing, the unit will stay paired unless unpaired manually by the user or erased due to a reset of the device. If your device should become unpaired, follow the above steps again. If any pairing issues should occur, unpair the unit on your Bluetooth device and follow the above steps again.
Playing Audio Wirelessly
- Follow the instructions for Pairing a Bluetooth Device.
- Use the native controls on the connected Bluetooth Device to select a track.
- To play, pause or skip the selected track, use the native controls on the connected Bluetooth Device or press the Play/Pause or Skip/Search buttons.
- Audio played through the connected Bluetooth device will now be heard through the speakers.
Charging a Device
- Make sure the unit is plugged into the wall.
- Using the appropriate USB charging cable (not included), connect one end to the device and the other to the Charger on the unit. Refer to the user’s manual for your specific device for manufacturers required charging amperage as well as determining the appropriate cable for your device before charging.
- Note: This device uses a USB charging port with a 500mA maximum charging capacity, making it unsuitable for charging iPads.
- The device will now charge.
CD, FM Radio & Line In
- Loading a CD
1. Open the Disc Door by pressing the Open button.
2. Place a CD into the unit, label side facing up.
3. Close the Disc Door.
- Playing a CD
1. Follow the instructions for Loading a CD.
2. Press the Source button to switch to CD mode.
3. Press the Play/Pause button to begin playing the loaded CD.
- Programming a CD
1. Follow the instructions for Loading a CD and Playing a CD.
2. Press the Stop button to stop the CD during play.
3. Press the Prog button on the remote.
4. Use the Skip/Search buttons to enter the desired track number. Press the Prog button to set the track.
5. Repeat step 3 until the desired number of CD tracks are programmed.
6. Press the Play/Pause button on the remote to begin playing the programmed tracks.
- Playing the Radio
1. Press the Source button to switch to FM Radio mode.
2. Press the Tune+/- buttons to tune the radio. Press and hold to search for the next available station.

Radio Reception
Adjust the position of the antenna to improve FM radio reception. -
Saving a Radio Station as a Preset
1. Follow the instructions for Playing the Radio.
2. Press the Prog button on the remote.
3. Press the Tune+/- buttons on the remote to select a preset number. Up to 10 stations may be preset.
4. Press the Prog button to save the current station to the selected preset.
- Tuning to a Saved Preset Station
1. In FM Radio mode, press the Mem+ button to cycle through saved presets.
- Using the Audio Input
Requires a 3.5mm audio cable (not included)
1. Connect a 3.5mm audio cable to the Line In and the audio output on an MP3 player or other audio device.
2. Press the Source button to switch to Line In mode.
3. Use the native controls on the connected MP3 player or other audio source to play your audio through the unit.
