Preparation before using for the first time
- Remove all protective packaging and wrapping. Make sure no packaging debris remains on the appliance.
- Check for completeness (1 wooden spreader included) and any transport damage. In case of damages or incomplete delivery, please contact the supplier (See — > Warranty page). Ensure there is enough clearance around the appliance. Place the appliance in a well-ventilated area.
- Connect the power plug to a suitable electrical wall outlet.
- Turn on the switch(2), start heating by setting the temperature control (1) clockwise to MAX (300°C) for dry running without food for about 15 ~ 20 minutes. This is to remove all residues during the manufacturing process.
- Let the appliance cool down completely. Clean it before using it for a baking crepe. (See ==> Cleaning and Maintenance)
Note: Due to the manufacturing residues, the appliance may emit a slight
odor in the first few cycles. This is normal and does not indicate any defect
or hazard. Make sure the appliance is well ventilated.
Note: You will need a wooden spreader (4) on hand before starting to cook
crepes because you have to handle them quickly while baking to avoid
overcooking the batter.
Operation
-
Clean the baking surface with a clean damp cloth before each use & let dry afterward.
-
Connect the power plug with a suitable electrical outlet. Turn on the switch(2), it will light up in green to show that it is connected to the electrical power supply.
-
Start the appliance by turning the temperature control (1) in a clockwise direction to select the required baking temperature.
-
Wait for about 15 ~ 20 minutes to let the baking plate heat up to about 250-300°C (Max).
-
Then, pour a small amount of crepe batter onto the baking plate with a spoon. Use a wooden spreader (4) to spread it in circular movements. Note: Moisten the wood spreader before use. This prevents the batter from sticking to the spreader (4).
-
Allow the crepe to cook on one side until its surface is no longer liquid visibly. Use a wooden spatula or heat-resistant plastic spatula (not supplied) to lift one side of the crepe gently. The crepe should be visibly cooked, maybe some in brown. In this case, the crepe is ready to be flipped.
Note: When you pour the batter onto the hot baking plate, you might hear some slight cracking noise caused by the difference in temperature. This is normal.
Note: Do not overcook the crepe, or the texture will become rubbery. The crepe can be cooked quickly at high temperatures. So, t can be flipped within about 2~3 minutes if you select a suitable temperature. -
Turn the crepe over to the other side carefully. It only needs to cook on the other side for about 30 ~ 40seconds.
-
Carefully remove the crepe from the baking plate. Continue making morecrepes until you ran out of batter. Do not use your hand to touch the crepe as it is still hot.
-
If necessary, adjust the temperature by rotating the temperature control.
-
Switch OFF the appliance by rotating the temperature control (1) anti-clockwise direction to 0°C and turn the switch(2) off.
Attention! Disconnect the power plug when not in use. Leave the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning and storing.
