The machine may not be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or persons with a lack of knowledge or experience unless they are supervised by a person responsible.
Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the tool.
Specified Conditions of Use
The robot lawnmower is designed for automatic cutting of small to medium-sized lawns in private home and hobby gardens. Due to physical danger to the user and other per-sons, the lawn mower must not be used for other purposes.
Do not use this product in any other way as stated for normal use. Not observing general regulations in force and instructions from this manual does not make the manufacturer liable for damages.
** The mower must not be used for cutting bushes, hedges and thickets, for cutting and mulching creepers or lawns on roofs or in balcony boxes. The mower must also not be used as a crusher for mulching tree cuttings and hedges or levelling any terrain roughness.
Residual Risk
Even when the device is used properly and all safety regulations are complied with, there still may be some residual risks.
** Rotating blades may lead to serious injuries by cutting or amputating parts of the body.
Never touch under the housing body when the engine is running. Wear gloves!
Thrown-off stones or soil may lead to injuries. Before mowing, check the area to be mowed for any undesirable objects.
Poor lighting/light conditions represent a high safety risk.
Provide adequate lighting or good lighting conditions when working with the machine.
Hearing damage
A longer stay in the immediate vicinity of the running unit may cause hearing damage. Wear hearing protection
Emergency procedure
Conduct a first-aid procedure adequate to the injury and summon qualified medical attendance as quickly as possible. Protect the injured person from further harm and calm them down. General Power Tool Safety Warnings

Warning
Read all safety warnings and all instructions.  Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term „ power tool“ in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

1. Work area safety
   a) Keep work area clean and well lit.  Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
   b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
   c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

2. Electrical safety
   a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
   b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
   c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
   d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for car- raying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.  Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
   e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
   f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply.  Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

3. Personal safety
   a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.  A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
   b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection.  Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
   c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.  Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energizing power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
   d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on.  A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
   e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
   f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
   g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.  Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.

4. Power tool use and care
   a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application.  The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
   b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off.  Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
   c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/ or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.   Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally. d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.  Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
   e) Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools. f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.  Properly main- tainted cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
   g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed.  Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

5. Battery tool use and care
   a)Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer.  A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
   b) Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs.  Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
   c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
   d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

6. Service
   a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.  This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

Safety instructions for cordless lawnmowers

Risk of injury
Never put your hands and feet near the rotating parts.
When working with this machine, do not use spare parts other than those recommended by us. Using spare parts not recommend by us can result in serious injuries to persons or damage to the machine.
Keep children and other persons including animals in a safe distance when using the appliance. Minimum safe distance is 5 m.
Wear personal protective equipment. Wear solid shoes and long trousers. Do not use the appliance when barefooted or in open sandals. Wear protective gloves if necessary.
Check carefully the terrain where the appliance is being used and remove any items that could get caught and be thrown away.
Avoid operating the equipment in wet grass, where feasible.
All protection covers and safety devices must be correctly attached to operate the device.
Before using, always visually inspect to see that the blades, blade bolts and cutter assembly are not blunt, worn or damaged. Replace worn or damaged blades and bolts in sets to preserve balance;
The protective equipment on the appliance is strictly prohibited to be disassembled, changed, used in conflict with the designation and it is prohibited to attach any protective equipment of other manufacturers.
** The appliance must not be used if damaged or safety equipment is defective. Replace any worn-out and damaged parts.
Do not start the engine before your feet are in a safe distance from the cutting tools.
Do not incline the appliance when being started.
On slopes always go straight to the slope and not up and down.
Switch the mower off whenever carrying or inclining it or when being outside a grass area. Wait until all rotating parts have stopped.
If the appliance starts abnormally vibrating, switch the engine off and search for the cause immediately. Generally, vibrations are a warning against operating failure.
Use  power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
This power tool generates an electromagnetic field during operation. Under certain circumstances, this field may affect active or passive medical implants. To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, we recommend that individuals with medical implants consult your physician and the manufacturer of the medical implant before operating the machine.
Do not use the device near flammable liquids or gases. Risk of fire and explosion in case of short circuit.
Battery
Risk of fire! Risk of explosion! Never use damaged, defective or deformed accumulators.
Never open or damage the accumulator or let it fall on the ground. Never charge the battery in an environment with acids and easily flammable materials.
Protect the battery against heat and fire. Battery to be used at the ambient temperatures between 10°C and +40°C only. Never put the battery on heaters and do not expose it to strong sunlight for a long time.
After being subject to heavy load, let the battery cool down first. Short circuit – do not bridge the accumulator contacts with metal parts.
The accumulator must be packaged (plastic bag, box) or accumulator contacts must be sealed up for accu- mulator disposal, transport or storage.
The Güde charger to be used only to charge the battery.
There can be malfunction or fire if different chargers are used.
Vapours may leak out in case of unauthorised use or when using a damaged accumulator. Bring fresh air and seek medical advice if experiencing difficulties. Vapours may irritate the respiratory system.
Working Instructions**
Accumulators are supplied partially charged and must therefore be fully charged before being used for the first time.

• Charge the accumulator when the appliance is running slowly or stops.
• A li-ion battery may be charged at any time without any shortening of its life. Charging process interruption will not damage the accumulator.
• A significantly shorter operating time of a charged battery means the battery life is over and the battery must be replaced.

Maintenance

Rotating blade
Any works / adjusting on the machine to be only performed with the engine switched off and when the mowing blade is not moving.
Keep the machine clean. Clean the ejection opening and cover at regular intervals. Keep the device, in particular the air vents, clean at all times. Never spray water on the devicebody! Do not clean the plastics with solvents, flammable or toxic fluids. For cleaning, use a damp cloth only.
Apply environment-friendly oil to all moving parts.
Repairs and works specified in these instructions may only be performed by qualified authorised staff.
Use only original accessories and original spare parts.
Only a regularly maintained and treated appliance can serve as a satisfactory aid. Insufficient maintenance and care can lead to unforeseen accidents and injuries.

Disposal

The disposal instructions are based on the icons placed on the appliance or its package.
Any damaged or disposed electric or electronic devices must be delivered to appropriate collection centres.
Dispose of the batteries in an environmentally friendly manner.
Accumulators and batteries are not to be put into the rubbish. As a consumer you are legally obliged to return used accumulators and batteries. At the end of the duration of your apparatus, the batteries or accumulators have to be taken from the apparatus, disposing of them separately.
You have the possibility of delivering your old batteries and accumulators to the local collecting points of your municipality or to your dealer or to the distribution centers. The return of accumulators and batteries at the point of sale is free of charge. If liquid leaks
from a battery or accumulator battery, make sure that this liquid does not come into contact with the skin or eyes. If it does come into contact, immediately clean the skin or eyes with water and consult a doctor. If accumulator batteries and batteries are disposed of in an uncontrolled manner, hazardous substances can enter the groundwater and thus the food chain during weathering, or flora and fauna can be poisoned for years. By returning used and defective rechargeable accumulator batteries and batteries, you are making an important contribution to the recycling of materials and the protection of our environment. Do not throw accumulator batteries or batteries into a fire, otherwise there is a risk of explosion! Accumulator batteries and batteries can also explode if they are damaged. Li-ion batteries must be disposed of. Have defective accumulator batteries disposed of by a specialist dealer. Accumulator batteries must be removed from the unit before it is scrapped. Damaged accumulator batteries can harm the environment and your health if toxic vapours or liquids escape. Therefore, never send a defective battery by post, etc. Please contact your local recycling centre. Dispose of the batteries when discharged. We recommend applying an adhesive tape on the poles to protect them against short circuit. Never open the battery.

Guarantee

Warranty period of 12 months applies to commercial use and 24 months applies to private use and commences on the day of purchase of the device.
The guarantee solely covers inadequacies caused by material defect or manufacturing defect. Original payment voucher with the sales date needs to be submitted for any claim in the guarantee period.
The guarantee does not cover any unauthorised use such as appliance overloading, use of violence, damage as a result of any unauthorised interference or caused by foreign items. Failing to follow the operating and assembly instructions and common wear are also not included in the guarantee.
Important information for the customer
Please note that returns within or outside the warranty period should always be in the original packaging. This measure effectively avoids unnecessary transport damage and any associated disputed ruling. Your equipment is optimally protected only in the original box, and keeping it in that box will ensure smooth processing.

Common mistakes, causes and solutions

Checking the charging station

The robot lawnmower does not leave the station
Caution:
PIN forgotten? Please contact the Technical Service| PIN was entered incorrectly.| Enter PIN again or use the factory setting PIN (0000).
Battery is not charged.| Charge the robot until all 4 charging bars of the battery light up.
Charging station was not installed correctly.| The arrow of the station should point to the working area.

Sensors

Contact sensor
When the robot lawnmower encounters an obstacle, it turns around and takes a new path within 10 seconds. The robot shuts down and requires a manual restart to continue operation. Rain sensor
In heavy rain, the robot lawnmower automatically returns to the charging station. The following day, the mower starts at the set start time.
Lift sensor
This sensor checks whether the wheels are in contact with the ground. If the robot lawnmower is lifted or if the wheels run free, the robot switches off and must be restarted manually.
Tilt sensor
The robot lawnmower has an integrated 6-axis sensor that measures the tilt angle in all directions. If the tilt angle exceeds 30°, the cutting motor stops immediately, but the mower continues to move. If the angle drops to less than 30° within 10 seconds, the cutting motor restarts automatically. However, if the angle does not decrease within 10 seconds, the mower will shut down and require a manual restart.

Error codes

Error codes: are shown on the LCD display
Caution: Manual restart – Place the unit within 1 meter of the boundary line, enter the correct PIN and press „Start“.

If necessary, remove foreign objects and restart the robot manually.
E3| Robot is outside the boundary lines.| Position the robot within the boundary lines and restart it manually.
E4| No boundary line signal.| Check the status LED of the charging station. If the LED flashes red, the boundary line is broken or the boundary wire is not connected to the station.

E5| A collision sensor was triggered.| Remove all obstacles or reposition the robot and restart it.
E6| Overload on the left drive motor.| Grass is too high or dense? Wheels blocked?
If the grass is higher than 2.6 inches/ 6.6 cm, please mow with traditional lawn mower. If the grass is lower than 2.6 inches, please adjust the height on the robot so that it works unhindered.
E7| Overload on the right drive motor.| Grass is too high or dense? Wheels blocked?
If the grass is higher than 2.6 inches/ 6.6 cm, please mow with traditional lawn mower. If the grass is lower than 2.6 inches, please adjust the height on the robot so that it works unhindered.
