Guard Dragon SWL-BT Portable Car Player

Product Information

The product is a portable car player that operates on a power supply voltage of 12V~36V DC or 12V~36V CC with negative ground. The factory set password is 113266. It supports features such as CarPlay, Android Auto, Wired Mirrorlink, reversing camera input, and audio/video/picture playback. Some models also have a card player and audio out via AUX. The installation method depends on the received mounting bracket. There are two types of brackets: glass suction cup type suspension installation and desktop horizontal installation. The product is powered by a cigarette lighter power plug. There are two styles of power plugs available: standard cigarette lighter power plug and cigarette lighter power plug with 2 USB ports. To use the device, after installation, insert the power plug into the cigarette lighter.The reversing camera connection can be made through the RCA adapter cable. When a signal is detected at the port, the LCD screen will automatically switch to the camera image. The reversing camera needs to be purchased separately. Bluetooth pairing connection allows you to use Bluetooth music or Bluetooth calls. For wireless CarPlay, you need to pair the Bluetooth connection first. The product has various interfaces such as video input (AV IN), USB port, TF card slot, AUX out, IR remote control signal receiver (only available in some models), DC IN power cord plug, MIC IN microphone jack (supports external lavalier microphone in some models), V-OUT for video signal output, and a power button (available in some models).

The device supports Mirrorlink for iPhone, which allows the content of the phone screen to be projected onto the car screen.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Installation:
   • Ensure you have received the correct mounting bracket.
   • For glass suction cup type suspension installation, follow the provided installation example for Bracket 1.
   • For desktop horizontal installation, follow the provided installation example for Bracket 2.
2. Cigarette Lighter Power Plug:
   • After installation, insert the power plug of the cigarette lighter into the cigarette lighter socket to power on the device.
   • Use Style 1 standard cigarette lighter power plug or Style 2 cigarette lighter power plug with 2 USB ports, depending on your preference.
3. Reversing Camera Connection:
   • Connect the reversing camera to the product using an RCA adapter cable.
   • The product will automatically switch to the camera image when a signal is detected at the port.
   • Note: The reversing camera needs to be purchased separately.
4. Bluetooth Pairing Connection:
   • To use Bluetooth music or Bluetooth calls, first pair the Bluetooth connection.
   • Power on the device and turn on Bluetooth on your mobile phone.
   • Search for devices and connect to the Bluetooth name of the device (SWL-BT).
   • Enter the PIN number as 0000 or 1234 if required.
5. Mirrorlink (iPhone):
   • Plug the device into your iPhone.
   • The content of your phone screen will be projected onto the car screen.

INSTALLATION METHOD

There are 2 types of brackets, and the installation methods are as follows: The received mounting bracket shall prevail.

Installation method 1:
Glass suction cup type suspension installation.

Installation method 2:
Desktop horizontal installation.

CIGARETTE LIGHTER POWER PLUG

This device is powered by the cigarette lighter power plug. After the device is installed, insert the power plug of the cigarette lighter into the cigarette lighter, and then it can be turned on for use.

BLUETOOTH PAIRING CONNECTION

You can use Bluetooth music or Bluetooth calls. When using wireless CarPlay, you need to pair the Bluetooth connection first.

Device Bluetooth Name: “SWL-BT”
PIN Number: “0000″ or “1234″ (If need)

Connection Method:

1. Power on the machine and turn on it.
2. Turn on the Bluetooth function on the mobile phone, click to search for devices, and when the Bluetooth name of the current machine is found, click to connect.

REVERSING CAMERA CONNECTION (CCD)

The reversing video input can be connected through the RCA adapter cable. When there is a signal at this port, the LCD will automatically switch to the camera image. (The camera is purchased separately.)

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

• AV IN (CAM IN) Video input interface. Connect the reversing camera through the 2.5mm plug to RCA cable.
• USB Port You can plug in a USB device to play music, video, and pictures. Mirrorlink or carplay or Android Auto can also be connected through this port. (Some models support Type-C)
• TF Card You can insert TF card device to play music, video and pictures. (supported by some models)
• AUX Out You can output the sound to other audio equipment through the 3.5mm AUX cable. (supported by some models)
• IR Remote control signal receiver. (Only some models have remote control)
• DC IN 3.5mm power cord plug (some models are Type-C power plug), the voltage range is 12~36V.
• MIC IN 3.5mm microphone jack. (External lavalier microphone can be connected).(supported by some models)
• V-OUT You can output the video signal to other monitor devices via the 3.5mm AUX cable. (supported by some models)
• POWER Power button to power on/off. (supported by some models

Tip: Only look at the introduction of the functions that the purchased model has.

Mirrorlink ( iPhone )
When the device is plugged into the iPhone, the content of the phone screen will be projected onto the car screen.

Mirrorlink ( Android )

When using an Android device, after connecting the USB data cable, you will be prompted to install the APP software. After installation, Plug the data cable again, it will enter the screen mirroring mode. And it can be operated on both the player screen and the phone screen. Only the image transfer is successful at this time. The sound can only be transmitted after the Bluetooth connection is successful.

Apple CarPlay (wired & wireless)

1. Wired connection: Just connect the USB data cable, and then it will automatically enter the CarPlay interface.
2. Wireless connection: first turn on the bluetooth and wifi functions of the mobile phone, and then connect the bluetooth. Then it will automatically enter the CarPlay interface. (Note: The signal is transmitted through wifi at this time, so even if the Bluetooth function is turned off, it will be transmitted normally. When the wifi function is turned off, CarPlay will be disconnected.)

Android Auto (wired & wireless)
This feature is not supported in all countries, and “Google Play” services need to be available locally.

1. Need to download and install “Android Auto” software in “Google Play”.
2. A mobile phone with Android 6.0 or higher must be used. Must use a valid data cable connection.
3. Wired connection: Just connect the USB data cable, and then it will automatically enter the Android Auto interface.
4. Wireless connection: First turn on the Bluetooth and wifi functions of the mobile phone, and then connect the Bluetooth. Then it will automatically enter the Android Auto interface. (Note: The signal is transmitted through wifi at this time, so even if the Bluetooth function is turned off, it will be transmitted normally. When the wifi function is turned off, Android Auto will be disconnected.

COMMON PROBLEMS AND SIMPLE TROUBLESHOOTING

1. How to connect the Mirrorlink. Before connecting the mobile phone, click the Phonelink function of the device, and then select the mode as Mirror, then connect the data cable of the mobile phone, and click the authorization on the mobile phone to connect.

2. How to make the sound come out through the speakers in the car.

3. The built-in speaker of our device can emit sound, you can turn it off in the system settings;

4. Transmit the sound to the original car radio through the FM transmitting function of the device (for example: select 86.3MHZ on the device, and then play USB music, then use the car radio to search for 86.3MHZ);

5. Transmit the audio to the original car player through the AUX OUT (3.5MM) interface of the machine (only some models have this interface).

6. Bluetooth not working properly. Delete the paired “SWL-BT” on the mobile phone, and then re-search the Bluetooth name “SWL-BT”. After the pairing is successful, it can be used normally.

7. Can’t automatically connect with CarPlay or Android Auto.

8. You need to set CarPlay or Android Auto as the default connection mode on the Phonelink setting interface, and then it can automatically jump to the CarPlay or Android Auto interface when USB is connected.

9. If it is a wireless connection, you need to turn on the wifi on the mobile phone, and then when the Bluetooth is connected, it will automatically jump to the CarPlay or Android Auto interface.

10. The sound of playing music or making a phone call is low.
    Press and hold your finger on the top of the screen and slide down, pull down the status bar to adjust the playback volume; Return to the main interface during a call, pull down the status bar to adjust the call volume.

11. Can’t remember time and date, settings. The machine does not have a battery, so there is no way to remember the time and date. After connecting to the mobile phone, the time and date will be automatically updated.

12. Can’t play TF card, USB music and video. Use 8G or 16G TF card and USB devices, some large-capacity storage devices may not support; format the storage device, use the file system FAT32; some encoding formats may not be recognized, please use common format media files.
