KLING FREITAG SONA SUB II Perfect Bass Complement Sound System
K &F SONA SUB II
The K&F SONA SUB II is a subwoofer that is designed to complement the SONA
series. It has an unobtrusive and compact appearance that can fit discreetly
into any architecture. The subwoofer can be visually hidden or intentionally
used as an element of interior design. With a depth of 48.5 cm, it can easily
integrate into modern architecture. The SONA SUB II comes in standard colors
of black (RAL 9005) and white (RAL 9010), and special RAL colors are also
available. The front grille can be removed without the need for tools,
providing access to a boring in the bass reflex tunnel for tuning purposes.
The bass-reflex tunnel of the SONA SUB II has received special attention during the conception process. The new construction of a T-tunnel allows for the required length for tuning low frequencies, despite its compact dimensions. The SONA SUB II enhances the sound experience in the lower frequencies in a precise and musical way, without imposing its own sound or introducing artifacts. When combined with the speakers of the SONA series, it provides a perfect sound for short-distance auditory. The SONA SUB II can be controlled by universal electronic frequency-separating filters (e.g. DSP) or by the specified K&F SystemAmps. It can be powered by any final amplifier with sufficient capacity. Its quick and visually pleasing integration into architectural environments, along with its convincing sound performance, makes it an economic, musical, and professional solution that satisfies high visual and acoustic requirements.

The subwoofer SONA SUB II is the perfect bass complement for the SONA series. It’s unobtrusive and compact appearance fits discreetly into every architecture. The SONA SUB II may be visually hidden or intentionally be used as an element of interior design. The depth of 48.5 cm allows to integrate the SONA SUB II into modern architekture. The SONA SUB II is supplied in the standard colours black (RAL 9005) and white (RAL 9010). Optionally, special RAL colours are available.
The front grille may be removed without tool, giving access to a boring in the bass reflex tunnel for the securing of the speaker against fall down and theft. The SONA SUB II is connected by a speakON® NL4MPR or by a four-pole Phoenix connection. Connections are located in a large compartment on the back side, with enough space for cables, plugs and wall outlets, allowing a flush mounting with hidden cable access. During the conception, the bass-reflex tunnel received a particular attention. The new construction of a T-tunnel provides the required length for the tuning of low frequencies, in spite of the compact dimensions. The SONA SUB II does not impose its sound, but it is rounding off the sound experience in the lower frequencies, in a precise and musical way and free of artefact. This is why the SONA SUB II, together with the speakers of the SONA series, provides a perfect sound for short-distance auditory
The SONA SUB II may be controlled by universal electronic frequency-separating filters (e.g. DSP) or by the specified K&F SystemAmps. The SONA SUB II may be powered by any final amplifier with sufficient capacity. The quick and visually pleasing integration of the SONA SUB II into architectural environments, combined with its convincing sound performance, are resulting in an economic, musical and professio-nal solution which is satisfying even high visual and acoustic requirements.
