SAFETY INFORMATION
- Ensure that the sealings are in place and in good condition before fitting the gas cylinder.
- Never use an appliance with damaged or worn seals and never use a leaking, damaged or malfunctioning appliance.
- Always change or fit the gas cylinder in a safe place, ONLY OUTSIDE, away from any source of ignition such as naked flames, pilot lights, electric fires and away from other people.
- If you have to check the gas soundness of the appliance, do this outside. Use soapy water only. NEVER USE A FLAME TO CHECK FOR LEAKS.
- If there has been a leakage you have to be extra careful and evacuate the gas by ventilation. Note that LP Gas is heavier than air. Because it can easily accumulate in trenches or below ground level.
- Never leave the torch unattended when lit.
- This appliance consumes oxygen and must only be used in well ventilated areas – minumum 177 ft³/h. Avoid the fumes from fluxes, lead-based paint, and all metal heating operations.
- Use the appliance on safe distance from walls and other combustible materials. Always check to make sure that no intended surfaces or materials are being heated. Heating a surface may cause heat to be conducted to adjoining surfaces that may be combustible or become pressurized when heated.
- Be careful when using the appliance outdoors on sunny or windy days. Bright light makes it hard to see the torch’s flame. Wind may carry the torch’s heat back at you or at other surfaces or materials not inteded for heating.
- Never use the appliance while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxicating substances.
- Keep the appliance out of reach for children.
- Failure to apply these instructions may cause property damage, personal injuries or death.

- Do not misuse the appliance, or use it for anything for which it has not been designed for.
- Handle the appliance with care. Do not drop, throw, or otherwise abuse the appliance.
- Never attempt to modify the torch’s construction and never use unapproved accessories or fuels.
- Always wear protective gloves and safety glases while handeling hot work.
- Make sure the torch is placed on a level surface when connected to the gas cylinder to reduce the risk of acci dental tip over. Be careful not to point the torch in a direction which could cause nearby objects to ignite when the torch is set down.
- Be careful not to overheat nearby materials.
- Always have a fire extinguisher close by when using the appliance.
- Using the torch with a low flame can cause damage to the burner tube. Only use low flame during limited time.
- Storage: Always disconnect the gas cylinder from the appliance when not in use. Store the gas cylinder in a safe, dry and cool place away from heat, direct sunlight and out of reach for children or anyone who has not read the instructions. Never store gas cylinders in basements or other places underground.
ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE
- Make sure the appliance is cool when connecting or disconnecting cylinder and other accessories (Fig. B).
- Ensure that the control knob (1) is turned off (turned fully clockwise).
- Keep the gas cylinder (5) upright when fitting it to the appliance valve.
- Place the valve adequately on top of the gas cylinder valve (as shown in Fig. B).
- Gently screw the gas cylinder into the valve. Be careful not to fit the gas cylinder cross threaded. NOTE! Screw hand tight only. Do not over tighten or you will damage the gas cylinder valve.
- Ensure that a complete gas seal has been made. If you have to check the gas soundness of the appliance, do this outdoors. Do not check for leaks with a naked flame. Use warm soapy water only, applied to the joints and connections of the appliance. Any leakage will show up as bubbles around the leakage area. If you are in doubt or if you can hear or smell gas, do not attempt to light the appliance. Unscrew the gas cylinder and contact your local dealer.

No burner tip, no gas. -
The appliance has a built-in regulator that controls pressure and reduces the risk of pulsating or yellow flames to occur when used other than upright. Pulsating or yellow flame might occur under any of the following special circumstances – when the temperature of the gas cylinder is low – when less gas is left in the gas cylider- when higher gas consuming burner tips are used – when the burner is used other than upright for a longer period. Therefore, we recommend to start working with a gas cylinder at room temperature and to keep the appliance upright as much as possible.
CHANGING THE GAS CYLINDER
- Shut the valve with the control knob (1). Be sure the flame is extinguished, the burner tip has cooled down and no other flame is nearby. Take the appliance outdoors, away from other people. Unscrew the gas cylinder from the valve and do not use the appliance if the sealings are cracked or worn down. Avoid cross threading by putting the valve onto the gas cylinder screw thread straight and screw on hand tight only, as described in section 3.
AFTER USE
- Make sure that the valve is completely shut by turning the control knob (1) fully clockwise until it stops. Do not use excessive force.
- Unscrew the torch from the gas cylinder. Always remove gas cylinder from torch when not in use.
- Point the torch in a safe direction and press the trigger (2) to release gas in the torch.
