PageFlip Firefly Bluetooth or USB Page Turner Pedal
Product Information
The PageFlip Firefly Bluetooth Pedal is a versatile device that allows you to control keyboard and mouse commands wirelessly. It features a power switch, mode buttons, a light switch, a repeat switch, pedal lights, and various jacks for external switches. The pedal can be powered by two AA alkaline batteries or through an external power supply. It also has Bluetooth connectivity for pairing with compatible devices.
Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Powering the Pedal
- Insert two AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment.
- Slide the POWER switch to the ON position.
If the Pedal has not been paired to a Bluetooth device, follow either Step 2A or Step 2B for pairing instructions.
Step 2A: Pairing Pedal to a Bluetooth-enabled device
- Press the BLUETOOTH RESET button – mode lights will flash sequentially.
- In the Bluetooth settings of your device, select “Premium Pedal”. (For Windows computers, right-click the Bluetooth icon on the taskbar and select “Add Device”).
- A single-mode light will flash slowly when the pedal is connected.
Step 2B: Pairing Pedal to a computer without Bluetooth (using a dongle)
- Purchase an optional Bluetooth dongle from www.pageflip.com.
- Insert the Bluetooth dongle into a USB port.
- Press the BLUETOOTH RESET button – mode lights will flash sequentially.
- Enable Bluetooth on your computer to be paired.
- In the list of Bluetooth devices on the computer, select “Premium Pedal”.
- A single-mode light will flash slowly on the pedal when connected.
Step 3: Select a Mode
- Press a MODE button to select which keyboard or mouse commands to emulate.
- The mode light will flash next to the selected mode.
Additional features of the PageFlip Firefly Bluetooth Pedal include:
- Sleep Mode: The pedal will enter sleep mode after 30 minutes of inactivity. Press the pedal to resume normal operation.
- External Switch Jacks: The pedal supports external switches as an alternative to the built-in switches. Visit the PageFlip website for compatible switch options.
- Virtual Keyboard: Press the mode button next to the blinking light to eject or hide the virtual keyboard on the iPad.
- External Power Supply: Plug the USB cable into a USB AC adapter for external power.
- Low Battery Indicator: The light will quickly flash three times to indicate low battery. Replace the batteries soon.
- Auto Repeat Function: Slide the REPEAT switch to ON, and the pedal will emulate pressing and holding a keyboard or mouse button.

How To Use
Step 1-Powering Pedal
- Insert two AA alkaline batteries in the battery compartment.
- Slide the POWER switch to the ON position.
If the Pedal has not been paired to a Bluetooth device:
- see Steps 2A or 2B for pairing instructions.
If the Pedal has been paired, the current mode light will:
- flash once per second while trying to reconnect.
- flash once every four seconds when connected.
Step 2A-Pairing Pedal to a Bluetooth-enabled device
- Press the BLUETOOTH RESET button – mode lights will flash sequentially.
- In Bluetooth settings, select “Premium Pedal”. (Windows computer: Right-click the Bluetooth icon on the taskbar and select “Add Device”).
- Single mode light will flash slowly when connected.
Step 2B-Pairing Pedal to a computer without Bluetooth (using a dongle)
- Purchase optional Bluetooth dongle from www.pageflip.com
- Insert the Bluetooth dongle into a USB port.
- Press the BLUETOOTH RESET button – mode lights will flash sequentially.
- Enable Bluetooth on the computer to be paired.
- In the list of Bluetooth devices on the computer, select “Premium Pedal”.

Advanced Features
Sleep Mode
The Pedal will enter sleep mode after 30 minutes of inactivity – lights will
turn off. Press the Pedal to resume normal operation (in a few seconds) The
current mode light will flash slowly.
External Switch Jacks
The Pedal will allow your choice of external switches as an alternative to the
built-in switches. See the PageFlip website for many switch options.
Virtual Keyboard
Press the mode button next to the blinking light to eject/hide the virtual
keyboard on the iPad.
External Power Supply
Plug the USB cable into a USB AC adapter, such as those included with
iPhone/iPad.
Low Battery
Light will quickly flash three times to indicate batteries are getting low and
should be replaced soon.
Auto Repeat Function
Slide the REPEAT switch to ON and Pedal will emulate pressing and holding a
keyboard or mouse button.
Programmable Modes
- Download and execute Windows/Mac software from www.pageflip.com.
- Press the MODE RESET button to restore modes to factory settings.
