Module Integration Guide

General

The Chrome Bluetooth Module is designed to comply with the FCC statement. The Chrome Bluetooth
Module FCC ID is 2A8DV-BT2222.
List of application FCC rules
The module complies with FCC Part 15 Subpart B and FCC Part 15.247.
Summarize the specific operational use conditions
The radio module is restricted for use Chrome Battery Now products produced by J-J.A.D.E. Enterprises
LLC. The installation and repair of the communication module may only be performed by technical personal associated with J-J.A.D.E. Enterprises LLC.
The radio module must not be installed in a manner in which it is co-located and operating simultaneously with other radios in the host system. If the module is installed in a host system that includes other radios, additional testing and equipment authorization will be required.
Limited Module Procedures
The radio module is restricted for use Chrome Battery Now products produced by J-J.A.D.E. Enterprises LLC. The module has no RF shielding. The installation and repair of the communication module may only be performed by technical personal associated with J-J.A.D.E. Enterprises LLC.
Trace antenna designs
The module does not have a trace antenna.
RF exposure considerations
This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and meets the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines. This equipment should be installed and operated keeping the radiator at least 20cm or more away from person’s body
Antennas:
The device is designed to use the antennas listed below. Do not modify the antenna or any other part of the module. Any modifications will invalidate the modular certifications and require new approvals for the host system.
Part No: Yageo ANT3216LL00R2400A
Type: Chip Antenna
Peak Gain: 5.05dBi

Label and compliance information

The host system using the module should have a label indicating the modular FCC ID: 2A8DV-BT2222.
Information on test modes and additional testing requirements
Test modes for the host device should take into consideration different operational conditions for a stand-alone modular transmitter in a host. The host manufacturer may operate their product during the measurements. The host product manufacturer should coordinate with the module manufacturer for instructions to put the device into test modes.
Additional testing, Part 15 Subpart B disclaimer
The modular transmitter is only FCC authorized for the specific rule parts (FCC Part 15.247) list on the grant, and that the host product manufacturer is responsible for compliance to any other FCC rules that apply to the host not covered by the modular transmitter grant of certification. The final host product still requires Part 15 Subpart B compliance testing with the modular transmitter installed when contains digital circuitry.
Note EMI Considerations
We recommend to use “best practice” RF design engineering testing and evaluation in case non-linear interactions generate additional non-compliant limits due to module placement to host components or properties.
The host manufacturer is responsible for ensuring compliance with the applicable FCC rules for the transmitters operating individually and simultaneously. This includes compliance for the summation of all emissions from all outputs occupying the same or overlapping frequency ranges, as defined by the applicable rules.
How to make changes
Only Grantees are permitted to make permissive changes.

Module Integration Instructions

The procedure for installing this module on the host device is described below.
Supply Voltage: The module contains a voltage regulator and can be supplied with any DC voltage that does not exceed 15V. In order to function properly, the supply voltage must be at least 3.3V. Power should be supplied to the pads labeled “VBAT+” and a ground connection should be made on the pad labeled “GND-“.
Physical installation: The module should be housed in a manner in which it is not exposed to the environment and limits movement of the module within the housing. The housing must cover the entire module and be made of a material (e.g. plastic) that prevents any part of the module, component on the module, or its wiring, from making any contact (electrical or otherwise) with anything outside of the housing.
Restrictions: The radio module is restricted for use Chrome Battery Now products produced by J-J.A.D.E.
Enterprises LLC.
