Product Information

The dishwasher is equipped with various cycles and options to suit different cleaning needs. The control panel appearance may vary depending on the model. Please refer to the appliance’s Owner’s Manual for important safety instructions before operating the dishwasher.

Cycle Guide

The dishwasher offers the following cycles:

  • Pro Wash: This cycle senses soil to automatically optimize the cleaning process. It is selected if the START button is pressed first. Recommended for all soil levels with an estimated wash time of 1 hour and 36 minutes.
  • Tough: Use this cycle for hard-to-clean, heavily soiled pots, pans, casseroles, and regular tableware with baked-on food. Estimated wash time is 2 hours and 25 minutes.
  • Normal: Recommended for daily, regular, or typical use to wash and dry a full load of normally soiled dishes. Suitable for light to normal soil levels with an estimated wash time of 2 hours and 4 minutes.
  • Express Wash: Use this cycle when you need faster results. Note that some detergents may not be recommended for short wash cycles. Suitable for light to normal soil levels with an estimated wash time of 1 hour and 5 minutes.
  • Rinse Only: Use this cycle for rinsing dishes, glasses, and silverware that will not be washed immediately. No detergent should be used. Suitable for all soil levels with an estimated wash time of 27 minutes.

Please note that the dishwasher’s government energy certifications were based on the Normal cycle with only the Door Open Dry option selected. Other cycles may increase energy usage.

Option Guide

The dishwasher offers the following options:

  • Pre Rinse: This option provides additional power jets for a more powerful wash in the lower rack. Recommended for washing pots and casseroles. Available with Pro Wash, Normal, and Tough cycles. Adds a focused spray during wash time in the power clean zone. Adds 10 minutes to the cycle and uses 1.1 gallons (4.3 liters) of water.
  • Extended Dry: This option dries dishes with extra heat during the rinse. For best performance, use Extended Dry with rinse aid and the door opening system. Raises the temperature for the final rinse to improve dry performance. No additional time or water usage.
  • Delay: This option allows you to delay the start of a cycle for a period of time between 1 hour and 24 hours. Select the desired program and options, press the Delay button to  set the delay time, then press the Start/Pause button to initiatethe countdown. The delay can be deactivated by pressing the Delay button again when the 24-hour setting has been reached. Once a cycle has started, the delay cannot be unselected without canceling the cycle using the Cancel button.

Please refer to your detergent packaging for more information on recommended detergents for short wash cycles.

  • The government energy certifications are not based on this cycle. See the Normal cycle description for the government energy certification cycle. Using other cycles may increase your energy usage.
  • No other washing and drying temperature options were selected, and the dishwasher was not subjected to truncated testing. Rinse aidwas not used, and there was no detergent used in the prewash.

NOTE: More water may be used if higher soil levels are detected in all cycles.

Delay| The start of a cycle can be delayed for a period of time between a 1 hour and

24 hours.

Select the desired program and options. Press the Delay button (repeatedly) to delay the start of the program. Press the Start/Pause button and close the door within 4 seconds. The timer will begin counting down.

Once the time has passed, the delay indicator light switches off and the program begins automatically.

NOTE: To deactivate the Delay function, press the Delay button one more time when the 24 hour setting has been reached.

NOTE: The delay cannot be unselected once a cycle has begun. You must use Cancel to cancel a delay function.

Control Guide

Control: Purpose: Comments:
Start Resume To start or resume a wash cycle. If the door is opened during a

cycle or the power is interrupted, the Start indicator flashes. The cycle will not resume until the door is closed and Start is selected.
NOTE: If the Start button is located on top of door, push door firmly closed within 4 seconds of selecting Start. If the door is not closed within 4 seconds, the Start button LED will flash, an audible tone will be heard (on some models), and the cycle will not start.
Cancel Drain| To reset any cycle or options during selection, to cancel a wash cycle after it has started, or to drain out any visible water in the tub after a cycle has finished.| Press Cancel/Drain and close door firmly. The dishwasher starts a drain sequence. Let dishwasher drain completely.
Clean| To indicate completion of your dishwasher cycle.

NOTE: Indicators shown are not available on all models.

| The dishwasher will turn off once the cycle is complete. If this option is not available, the clean indicator will glow when the cycle is finished. If the Door Open Dry system is available, the door will open when the cycle is complete. The clean indicator will glow when the cycle is finished.
Sanitized| Shows that the items have been sanitized.| The Sanitized indicator glows when the items have completed the Sanitize cycle. The sanitized indicator blinks if Sanitization failed.
Descale| If limescale accumulation is detected, the descale icon  will show. Salt may need to be added to the reservoir and the water hardness level set.

Use a dishwasher cleaning agent such as affresh® with the Tough cycle to clean the dishwasher.

| Once completed, the icon will turn off.
NOTE: In cases of extremely high amounts of limescale, descaling may have to be performed twice.
Time on the Floor| The remaining time left in the cycle will be displayed on the floor.| The cycle time will be displayed underneath the unit on the floor once you select a cycle and close the door. As the cycle progresses, the remaining cycle time will adjust.
Salt Indicator| If the consumer desires to use the water softener feature in the dishwasher, the salt indicator light will glow when it is time to add more salt.| Refer to the owners manual for more details about how to use the water softener feature. If used, the salt indicator  will glow when you need to add more salt.
Rinse Aid|  Icon will turn on when dishwasher is low on rinse aid.| If icon is on, add rinse aid until icon turns off.
