Product Information

The Blue Glass Pebble interior is a type of pool finish that provides a beautiful and durable surface for your pool. It is important to follow the post-application care instructions to achieve the best results and maintain your warranty.

Post-Application Care Instructions

  1. For the first four weeks after installation, do not add salt to the pool. Instead, use liquid chlorine to chlorinate the pool.
  2. When filling the pool, add the appropriate dosage of Scale & Stain Eliminator or an equivalent product to prevent scale and stains. You can find Scale & Stain Eliminator at www.thepoolstainremovers.com.au or use Start-Up Tec, Beautec, Calstop, Stop Cal, Scale Eliminator, or a similar product.
  3. Brush the pool surface down at least once every day for the first three weeks to ensure proper adhesion and smoothness.
  4. Maintain the pH level within the normal limits.

Ongoing Care Advice

To keep your Blue Glass Pebble interior in excellent condition, follow these recommendations:

  1. Do not allow leaves, bark, flowers, seeds, fruit, or any other debris to remain on the pool interior as they can cause stains.
  2. Maintain the pool as you would a normal concrete pool.
  3. Maintain a pH level between 7.3 and 7.6.
  4. Maintain a calcium hardness level between 200 and 250.
  5. Use a stabilizer/sunscreen product like Beautec, Calstop, or an equivalent according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Never leave the pool empty. It must always be filled with water to ensure the safety and integrity of the product. Leaving the pool empty and the product exposed will void the warranty.

POST-APPLICATION CARE INSTRUCTIONS

After you have had a Blue Glass Pebble interior installed, please ensure the following steps are taken; both to achieve best results and maintain your warranty:

  1. Do not add salt to the pool for the first four weeks. This will mean you will need to chlorinate the pool using liquid chlorine for those first four weeks.
  2. As filling add the appropriate dosage of Scale & Stain Eliminator (www.thepoolstainremovers.com.au), Start-Up Tec, Beautec, Calstop, Stop Cal, Scale Eliminator or equivalent to the pool.
  3. As with most pool interiors, make sure the customer brushes the surface down at least once every day for the first three weeks.
  4. Make sure you keep your PH within the normal limits.

ONGOING CARE ADVICE

We always recommend engaging the services of an industry pool care professional and keeping records.

  1. Do not allow leaves, bark, flowers, seeds, fruit or any other debris to lay still on pool interior as they can stain.
  2. Pool should be kept as a normal concrete pool would be.
  3. PH 7.3-7.6
  4. Calcium Hardness 200-250
  5. Use Stabiliser/Sunscreen as you normally would as per the instructions on the bag
  6. Alkalinity 120-150 – adjust using your test kit instructions.
  7. Every 6 months it is useful to add the appropriate dosage of Beautec, Calstop, or equivalent (see above).
  8. Never leave pool empty. Must always be full of water to ensure safety of product. Leaving pool empty and product exposed voids warranty.

The above is necessary on all glass pebble jobs where an inorganic tint has been used, and is consistent with standard industry practice for such products. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us on 1800 281 991.
