Instruction Manual 3 Liter Electric Deep Fryer
Important Safeguards
Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this
product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs in water or other liquids.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord in the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving fryer containing hot oil.
- Be sure handles are properly assembled to basket and locked in place. See detailed assembly instructions.
- Never connect the fryer to the electricity supply without placing oil in the oil reservoir first.
- The oil in the oil reservoir will be still hot after it is switched off. Never attempt to move your fryer until it is completely cool down, lift the oil reservoir use the handles.
- A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
- Do not immerse in water.
WARNING
- SERIOUS HOT-OIL BURNS MAY RESULT FROM A DEEP FRYER BEING PULLED OFF A COUNTERTOP. DO NOT ALLOW THE CORD TO HANG OVER THE EDGE OF THE COUNTER WHERE IT MAY BE GRABBED BY CHILDREN OR BECOME ENTANGLED WITH THE USER.
- DO NOT USE WITH AN EXTENSION CORD.
Polarized Plug
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not modify the plug in any way.

Intended Use
This product is intended for preparing foods that require deep-frying. The
product is intended only for preparing foods.
This product is intended for household use only. It is not intended for
commercial use.
This product is intended to be used in dry indoor areas only.
No liability will be accepted for damages resulting from improper use or non-
compliance with these instructions.
Before First Use
DANGER
Risk of suffocation!
Keep any packaging materials away from children – these materials are a
potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.
- Check the product for transport damages.
- Remove all the packing materials.
- Clean the product before first use.
- Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product rating label.
Operation
6.1 Attaching frying basket handle
- Pinch the two end prongs of the handle (A) and hook them into the slots of the frying basket (B).
- Flip the handle (A) over and lock it into a horizontal position.
6.2 Setting up fryer
NOTICE
Do not fill the oil reservoir (N) beyond the MAX marking. Oil might overflow
while frying if the product is overfilled.
- Place the oil reservoir (N) into the housing (0).
- Attach the control panel assembly (D) to the housing (O) by aligning the slot guide rails (F) to the guide rails (P).
- Fill the oil reservoir (N) with flavorless, high smoke point cooking oil (400 °F or higher) until it is at least reaching the MIN marking. Only use good quality frying oil such as peanut oil, vegetable oil, pure corn oil, sunflower oil or canola oil.
- Place on the lid (M).
6.3 Connecting to a power source
CAUTION Risk of fire!
Never connect the product to the socket outlet without adding oil in the oil
reservoir (N) first.
- Attach the magnetic power cord with plug (C) to the power socket (E). The side with THIS SIDE UP marking must be facing up.
- Connect the plug to a suitable socket outlet.
- The POWER indicator (H) lights up red when the product is on.
- After use, unplug the magnetic power cord with plug (C) from the product.
6.4 Adjusting the temperature
Adjust the cooking temperature anytime by turning the temperature knob (1)
(265 °F-375°F / 130 °C-190 °C).
6.5 Frying
CAUTION Risk of burns!
- Product releases hot steam when the lid (N) is removed. Keep face and bare skin clear of steam release.
- The product is hot during and after frying. Only use the frying basket handle (A), lid handle (K) or main unit handles (Q) to pick up the product. Use of kitchen mittens are recommended.
- The oil in the oil reservoir (N) is still hot after it is switched off. Never attempt to move the product until it is completely cooled down. Lift the oil reservoir (N) using the handles.
NOTICE
The temperature build up is achieved by keeping the lid on. Do not lift the
lid often while cooking.
- After setting the time and placing on the lid (K), the product starts heating up.
- Fill the frying basket (B) with the food of choice. Dry food as much as possible. Do not add water, ice, or wet food as it may cause hot oil to splatter.
- When the READY indicator (J) lights up green, the product has reached the desired temperature.
- Facing away from the product, open the lid (K) to release the steam.
- Gently lower the frying basket (B) into the oil.
- Gently shake the frying basket (B) to prevent food from sticking to the sides.
- Place the lid (K) back on to continue frying.
- When the desired doneness is reached, remove the lid (K), then raise the frying basket (B) and hook it onto the rim of the oil reservoir (N). Allow the excess oil to drain for 15 seconds.
NOTICE
- It is normal for the READY indicator (J) to switch on and off during the cooking process.
- The heating function of the product automatically stops when the control panel assembly (D) is taken out from the oil reservoir (N). The timer continues to run even when the heating function is off. Heating resumes when the control panel assembly (D) is placed back into the oil reservoir (N).
- Check the doneness of the food either by cutting a big piece open to check if it is cooked through or using a food thermometer (not provided) to check the internal temperature. The following minimum internal temperatures are recommended.

For foods not included in the chart, it is recommend to use lower temperature
settings for delicate foods (e.g. vegetables, fish) and higher temperature
settings for frozen foods (e.g. french fries, chicken). Larger pieces takes
more time to fry than small pieces.
6.8 Tips
- When frying several different kinds of food, always fry the food that uses the lowest temperature first.
- Do not mix different types of oil for frying.
- Frying already pre-cooked food may take less time to fry than completely raw food.
- When frying frozen food, remove any ice particles and thaw food throughly.
- Replace the oil after 10 – 15 uses or if the oil foams, smokes or becomes brown and thick.
- Never use plastic or rubber utensils when frying. They might get damaged.
6.9 Resetting the safety thermostat switch
NOTICE
- An automatic sensor shuts down the product in the event of overheating. To reset the product after automatic shutoff:
1. Switch the product off and unplug the magnetic power cord (C).
2. Let the product cool down for at least 1 hour.
3. Use a small screwdriver or other pointed object to press the RESET switch (R).
Cleaning and Maintenance
WARNING Risk of electric shock!
- To prevent electric shock, unplug the product before cleaning.
- During cleaning do not immerse the control panel assembly (D) or the magnetic power cord (C) in water or other liquids. Never hold the control panel assembly (D) under running water.
CAUTION Risk of burns!
The product remains hot after use. Let the product cool down for 2 hours
before cleaning.
7.1 Cleaning
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
7.2 Filter cooled oil
- If reusing oil, strain before use to remove any food particles.
- Attach a coffee filter or a cheesecloth on top of a jar and pour the oil into the jar. Let the oil drip through.
7.3 Storage
Store the product in its original packaging in a dry area. Keep away from
children and pets.
7.4 Maintenance
Any other servicing than mentioned in this manual should be performed by a
professional repair centre.
Troubleshoot
Problem | Solution |
---|
The product does not switch on.
Oil is spilling out of the product.| • Check if the magnetic coupler and inlet
are connected. Check if the socket outlet works.
• Re-attach the control box assembly.
• Let the product cool completely. Then remove the control panel assembly (D)
and press the RESET button.
• Switch the product off. Let the oil cool then remove some of the excess oil.
• Remove some of the food from the frying basket.
Food is soggy or greasy.| • Set the frying temperature suitable for the food
being fried.
• Remove some of the food from the frying basket.
Food not cooked completely.| • Cut the food into smaller pieces.
• Continue frying and check the process regularly.
• Lower the frying temperature to allow the food to cook completely.
The cooking oil is foaming or emitting smoke.| • Switch the product off. Let
the oil cool and dispose of the old oil. Refill the oil reservoir (N) with a
new oil.
