INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
TYPE A
DEPLOYING
- Open the lever and pull out the shaft section until it reaches your desired length
- “Snap” the lever closed firmly.
COLLAPSING
- Open the lever and collapse the shaft section fully into the section above.
- “Snap” the lever closed firmly.
ADJUSTING CLAMPING TENSION
- Open the lever.
- Turn the adjustment knob clockwise to increase clamping tension or counterclockwise to reduce it.
TYPE B
DEPLOYING
Grab the grip and let the lower pole sections drop downward. The pole sections
will instantly snap into place and lock.
COLLAPSING
Hold the joint sleeve and pull the pole section apart from the section below.
TYPE C
DEPLOYING
Pull the shaft down over the cone tip until the push button completely pops
out.
COLLAPSING
Press down on the push button to release the lock and collapse the pole.
HOW TO HOLD A TREKKING POLE
- Put your hand up through the bottom of the strap loop, and then pull the strap down and grab the grip of the pole.
- Adjust the length of the strap loop so that when you bring your hand down in the strap it lines up comfortably with the grip.
ADJUSTING POLE LENGTH
UPHILL SECTIONS
Shorten the poles so you are not overreaching.
DOWNHILL SECTIONS Lengthen the poles to avoid bending over too much.
FLAT SECTIONS
Your arm should form a 90-degree bend at the elbow.
TRAVERSING A SLOPE
Shorten the pole on the uphill side and lengthen the pole on the downhill
side.
WARNINGS
- The trekking poles are to be used for activities such as hiking, trekking, and mountain trekking only. DO NOT use for any other purposes.
- Metal tips can damage concrete, granite, tiles, and other surfaces. Please pay attention to surface type and condition when using.
- DO NOT place lateral (sideways) force on the pole shafts.
- Make sure that each section of the poles is securely locked before and during use.
- The trekking poles can break if bent more than 15 degrees. Avoid excessively bending the poles.
- If the trekking pole gets stuck (in a crack, between rocks, etc.), gently pull the pole out vertically. DO NOT wobble it or pull it out sideways by force.
- If you choose carbon trekking poles, protect the carbon shaft from impacting sharp objects, as that will create a weak point in the shaft.
- DO NOT use the trekking poles like ropes to pull people.
- The trekking poles and their parts/accessories are NOT toys. Avoid any possible injuries caused by them, particularly to children.
- Minors should use the trekking poles only under adult supervision.
- Trekking poles are to be used as an auxiliary balance aid only. To avoid accidents, DO NOT allow trekking poles to bear your full weight.
- DO NOT extend the poles beyond the STOP mark on any section.
- DO NOT dismantle or modify the product in any way.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
TELESCOPING POLES
- After each use, pull the poles apart into separate segments, wipe each pole segment with a dry cloth, and then let them dry for 48 hours before reassembling and storing in a dry environment. If there is sand or other debris inside the by and/or the shaft, pour it out before wiping the pole segments.
- DO NOT apply any chemicals, including lubricants or solvents.
FOLDING POLES
- If the poles get dirty or wet, extend the folding poles after use, set them to maximum length, and then wipe the entire length of each pole with a dry cloth. Let them dry for 48 hours. If there is sand or other debris inside the tip and/or the shaft, pour it out before wiping the pole.
- DO NOT apply any chemicals, including lubricants or solvents.
- The folding poles should then be stored folded in a dry environment.
- Maintenance is essential to prevent dirt and dust from getting into the individual segments of the folding poles.

For one year following purchase unless otherwise indicated by law, we will warrant to the original retail buyer only that our products are free from defects in materials and workmanship as originally sold. If you receive a defective product, return it to us, and we will replace it subject to the following conditions: We do not warrant products which show normal wear and tear or that have been used or maintained improperly, modified or altered, or damaged in any manner.
