Product Information
The U1 Smart Lights is a bicycle rear & front light that provides great safety for city cycling at night time. It is equipped with a controller fixed on the handlebar, allowing cyclists to easily operate rear light functions such as turning right, turning left, and stop alarm. The product also features an environmental light detection function that controls the light on/off based on day and night conditions.

Product Usage Instructions
Universal Mount Installation – Rear Light
- Choose the right position for the silicone puller to fix the universal mount on the seat post, considering the diameter of your seat post.
- Place the smart light in the magnetic universal mount.
- Position the light to the desired position.
Function Guide
- Download App: Install the FARO App from Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) to customize your helmet’s light features and settings.
- ON/OFF: Press and hold the on/off button for 3 seconds to turn on or off the U1 Smart Lights. The center light bar will display a white or red sweep (depending on front or rear position) and indicate the battery level using 10 levels.
- Pairing – U1 App: Ensure your phone’s Bluetooth connection is active, power up your U1 Smart Light, look for your U1 Smart Light using the U1 App, and pair directly from the app.
- Pairing – Remote: Power on your U1 Smart Light, press and hold any button on the Navigation Remote until the lights blink left and right, wait for connection (3 green flashes on U1 Smart Lights and Nav Remote).
Troubleshooting
If you are experiencing issues with your U1 Smart Lights, follow these steps:
- Not powering on: Charge the U1 Smart Lights using the USB-C cable.
- Not charging: Ensure the USB-C power source is switched on and correctly plugged in.
- Not pairing: Make sure your U1 Smart Lights is fully charged and your Bluetooth connection is active.
- U1 Smart Light not responding: Reset the U1 Smart Lights by pressing the power button four times.
- Charging: Plug the USB-C cable into the charging port. The hidden lights will display the battery status using 6 levels. A solid green color on all 6 levels indicates a full battery. Do not use the helmet while charging with a power bank for safety reasons.
Attention: The battery should not be replaced with an incorrect battery
to avoid the risk of explosion. The product must be recycled or disposed of
separately from household waste. Keep the U1 Smart Lights away from children
and pets as it
contains small parts that can be a choking hazard.

Please read this manual carefully before using your U1 Smart Lights for the
first time.

U1 Smart Lights is a bicycle rear & front light. By using a controller fixed on the handlebar, cyclists can easily operate rear light functions, such as turning right, turning left, stop alarm, etc. Supply great safety for city cycling at night time and help cyclists avoid risk. This product is equipped with the environmental light detection function, which can control the light on/off on day and night.

UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION
- FOR REAR LIGHT
- According to the diameter of your seat post, choose the right position for the silicone puller to fix the universal mount on the seat post, like shown on the photo.
- Place the smart light in the magnetic universal mount.

FUNCTION GUIDE
DOWNLOAD APP:
- FARO App
- Download the FARO App to customize your helmet’s light features and other settings to your liking.
- Download
- Android: Google Play Store > U1 FARO
- iOS: App Store > Unit 1 FARO or scan the OR code below
ON/OFF
Once charged, you can begin using your U1 Smart Lights. To turn in on / off,
just press the on/off button for 3 seconds. The center light bar will do a
white or red sweep (depending on whether it is in the front or rear position)
and then display the battery level using 10 levels
PAIRING
- U1 App
- Make sure your phone’s bluetooth connection is active.
- Power up your U1 Smart Light
- Look for your U1 Smart Light using the U1 App
- Pair directly from the U1 App
- REMOTE
- Power on your U1 Smart Light (should be off before you begin)
- Press & hold any button on the Navigation Remote (lights will’blink left & right)
- Wait for connection. U1 Smart Lights will show 3 green flashes when complete, Nav Remote will also flash 3 times.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If vou are having trouble with vour U1 Smart Lights, follow these steps

Not powering on
Charge the U1 Smart Lights using the USB-C cable. -
Not charging
Make sure the USB-C power source is switched on and plugged correctly. -
Not pairing
Make sure your U1 Smart Lights is fully charged and vour bluetooth connection is active -
U1 Smart Light not responding Reset the U1 Smart Lights by pressing the power button for 4 times.
CHARGING
Plug the USB-C cable into the charging port. Once plugged in the hidden lights will display the status of your battery using 6 levels. All 6 levels in a solid green color mean the battery is full. For safety purposes, FARO functions are not available while charging. DO NOT use the helmet while charging with a power bank.
PRECAUTIONS REGARDING THE BUILT-IN BATTERY
- Do not attempt to replace the battery in your U1 Smart Lights. It is built-in and cannot be replaced.
- Charge the battery in accordance with the instructions provided in this guide.
- Charge your U1 Smart Lights using a computer, a powered docking station or certified power station.
- Do not attempt to open the built-in battery.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
- Do not try to replace the battery or open the case or take your U1 Smart Lights apart. Each of these actions will void the warranty and may pose safety risks. The substances contained in batteries may be harmful for the environment or cause injury if handled and disposed of inappropriately.
- Do not expose your U1 Smart Lights to extreme temperatures (The product is designed to operate when uncharged: -20°C to +60°C, and while charging: o°C to +45°C).
- Do not use any abrasive products to clean your U1 Smart Lights or the accessories.
- Do not throw your U1 Smart Light onto a fire. The battery may explode.
ATTENTION
Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect battery. It
must be recycled or disposed of separately from household waste as per the
instructions. This product is not a toy. Do not let children or pets play with
your U1 Smart Lights. The product contains small parts which can be a choking
hazard.
INFORMATION ON WASTE DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING
Make sure you dispose of your product at a recycling center. Each country and province has its own recycling centers for batteries and electronics. To find out where to dispose of your product, contact the waste management service in your area or the shop where you purchased the product. Do not throw your device into the household waste. The packaging and product must be disposed of according to local regulations. Batteries must not be disposed of with municipal waste and must be separated for collection.

option either repair or replace the helmet free of charge. This warranty does
not affect your statutory rights. This warranty is in lieu of all other
agreements and warranties, general or special, express or implied and no
representative or person is authorized to assume liability on behalf of Unit 1
Gear, Inc. in connection with the sale or use of this product.
This limited warranty only applies to products purchased directly from Unit 1
Gear, Inc. official stores or a Unit 1 Gear, Inc. authorized reseller.
This limited warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.
Unit 1 Gear, Inc. does not offer warranty regarding battery life used in the
Smart Light. Battery life may vary depending on its configuration and use.
