Unpacking the Appliance:
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging materials, such as foils, filling material, cable ties, and cardboard packaging.
- Check the scope of delivery for completeness.
- If the packaging is incomplete or damaged, do not operate the appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.
- Clean the appliance to remove any dust or production residues as described under Cleaning.
Scope of Delivery:
The package should contain all the necessary components for the appliance.

- Do not touch the appliance when it is hot. Allow it to cool down before storing.
Notes for Use:
Always use fresh, cold water. The water level should be between the MIN and MAX marks.
Electrical Connection:
CAUTION: Check the voltage setting on the bottom of the appliance before each use to avoid damage or tripping the house fuse.

Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
- Check the scope of delivery for completeness.
- If the contents of the packaging are incomplete or if damage can be detected, do not operate the appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.
- There may still be dust or production residues on the appliance. We recommend that you clean the appliance as described under “Cleaning”.

Warnings for the Use of the Appliance
WARNING: Risk of Burns!
- Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
- Always make sure that the lid is firmly closed.

The appliance housing becomes hot during operation, do not touch it and allow the appliance to cool down before putting it away.
Notes for Use
Electrical Connection
CAUTION:
Check the setting of the voltage selector on the bottom of the appliance
before each use! A wrong voltage setting can destroy the appliance or can trip
the house fuse. In the European countries, the mains voltage is 230 V~.
1. Set the voltage to the mains voltage provided by your electricity
supplier: 120 V~ or 230 V~.
2. Connect the appliance to a grounded outlet only after you have filled
water into the container.
Switching the Appliance On / Off
-
Switch on (switch position: I):
Switch on the appliance with the switch. The control lamp lights up. -
Switching off (switch position: O):
Switch off the appliance with the switch. The control lamp goes out.
Preparation
Before using the appliance for the first time, boil it 3 times with fresh
water. Use only clear water without additives.
Operation
When the pilot lamp lights on connection to the mains, the appliance is operating. Accordingly, observe the order of the operation steps.
- Set the switch to O.
- Place the appliance on a flat surface.
- In addition, hold the appliance at the handle and remove the lid.
- Then fill in the water (maximum 0.5 litres). The markings MIN and MAX are inside the water container.
- Always use fresh, cold water.
- The water level must be between the MIN and MAX marks.
- Set the lid so onto the water container that the grip on the lid and the grip on the appliance are joined.
- Only connect the appliance to a properly installed safety socket.
- Set the switch to I. The control lamp will light up.
- Is the pilot lamp off? Switch on the appliance with the button ON.
Interrupting / Ending Operation
There are two ways to interrupt or end the cooking process:
- The appliance switches off automatically after the cooking process. The control lamp goes out.
- To end or interrupt the cooking cycle prematurely, set the switch to the O position.
- Unplug the mains plug from the socket.
- Empty the water container.
- Only hold the appliance by the handle.
- Keep the lid closed when pouring out.
- Hot steam may escape when you open the appliance!
- Always open and close the lid with the handle on the lid.
- The appliance becomes hot during operation, do not touch it and allow the appliance to cool down before putting it away.
Cleaning
WARNING:
- Always switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the socket before cleaning. Wait until the appliance has cooled down.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. It could cause an electric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
- Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Rinse the water reservoir with clean water. Dry it with a cloth.
- Clean the housing with a slightly damp cloth after use.
Descaling
- The intervals for descaling depend on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use.
- If the appliance switches off before the water boils, descaling is necessary.
- Do not use vinegar, but a commercially available des-caling agent based on citric acid. Dose according to the instructions.
- After descaling, boil fresh water several times (approx. 3 to 4 times) to remove residues. Do not use this water for consumption.
Storage
- Clean the appliance as described and allow it to dry completely.
- We recommend storing the appliance in its original packaging if you do not intend to use it for a long period of time.
- Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a well-ventilated and dry place.
Troubleshooting
