Product Information
The Landscape Pro Slim Series is an electrical heater designed for use in the United States and Canada. It comes in five different models: LPS-4414, LPS-5614, LPS-6814, LPS-8014, and LPS-9614. The heater operates on AC 120V 60Hz power and has a current rating of 14 Amps. It features LED lamps powered by DC 12V, a rotor motor with a current rating of 40mA and power rating of 3.7W, and a drywall stop for installation. The width of the product varies depending on the model.
Product Usage Instructions
Before installing or using the heater, it is important to read and follow all instructions provided in the user manual. Here are some important usage instructions:
- Ensure that the heater is installed and adjusted properly to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury. If you require assistance or additional information, consult a qualified installer.
- Do not expose the heater to the elements such as rain. Keep it protected from water.
- Avoid placing clothing or other flammable materials on or near the firebox. Never place any objects on the fireplace.
- When the heater is running, it becomes very hot. Keep children and adults away from hot surfaces to avoid burns or clothing ignition. The fireplace will remain hot for some time after shutdown, so allow surfaces to cool before touching.
- Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) away from the front, sides, and rear of the heater to prevent fire hazards.
- Exercise extreme caution when using the heater around children, or disabled individuals, or when leaving it unattended.
- If the heater malfunctions, has been dropped, or is damaged in any way, disconnect power at the service panel and have it inspected by an authorized technician or electrician before further use.
- Do not use the heater outdoors.
- To disconnect the heater, turn off the controls.
- Avoid covering the heater to prevent overheating.
For detailed installation instructions, refer to the user manual. The box contents include 1 fire unit, 1 remote, L-metal mounting brackets, 1 glass face, 1 trim kit, logs, 1 owners manual, acrylic media, and a suction cup. Please note that failure to follow the instructions exactly may result in fire, explosion, property damage, personal injury, or death. Ensure proper installation and usage to maintain safety.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical heaters, basic precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of fi re, electric shock and injury to persons, including the
following:
WARNING: Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service or
maintenance can cause injury or property damage. Refer to this manual. For
assistance or additional information, consult a qualifi ed installer.
CAUTION: Do not expose the heater to the elements (such as rain, etc). Do
not place clothing or other fl ammable material on or near fi rebox. Never
place any objects on the fi replace. Carefully supervise young children when
they are in the room with fi replace. Fireplace becomes very hot when running.
Keep children and adults away from hot surfaces to avoid burns or
clothingignition. Fireplace will remain hot for a time after shutdown. Allow
surfaces to cool before touching.
CAUTION: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
- Read all instructions before installing or using this heater.
- This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
- Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or disabled people and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
- Do not operate any heater after it malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner. Disconnect power at service panel and have heater inspected by an authorized technician or a reputable electrician before using.
- Do not use outdoors.
- To disconnect heater, turn controls to off and turn off power to heater circuit at maindisconnect panel.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fi re, ordamage the heater.
- To prevent a possible fi re, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner.
- A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or fl ammable vapors or liquids are used or stored.
- Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fi re, electric shock or injury to persons.

INSTALLATION
BOX CONTENTS
WARNING: If the information in these instructions is not followed
exactly, a fi re or explosion may result causing property damage, personal
injury or death.
WARNING – RISK OF FIRE! To prevent a possible fi re, do not block air
intake or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces where openings
may become blocked.
WARNING – RISK OF FIRE! Do not blow or place insulation against the
fi rebox. To reduce the risk of fi re do not store or use gasoline or other fl
ammable vapors in the vicinity of this or any other heater.
CAUTION: Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding,
papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the
heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
CAUTION: Wear gloves and safety glasses for protection during
installation and maintenance.
Installing fi replace
Select a suitable location that is not susceptible to moisture and is a safe
distance from drapes, furniture and high traffi c areas. A qualifi ed
electrician should add a dedicated fl exible 20 amp 120 volt circuit per local
building codes.
Note: Follow all national and local electrical codes. This fi replace
can be installed fully recessed or half recessed. To prepare for installation,
connect the hard wire to the terminal block according to the diagram below.
Choose any connector type according to local building code.

- This installation is optimized for a 2×6 framed wall. Prepare the framed opening according to the chart above. *Provide appropriate dedicated circuit for hardwire install at the top right of framed opening.
- Install L Metal Nailing Flanges to the top and bottom of the fi re unit.
- Install the fi re unit in the framed opening with a minimum 1 ¼ drywall screws to secure the unit.
- Mask the exposed fi re unit during the drywallprocess. Install drywall to the drywall stops on the perimeter of the fi re box. For more information on the drywall stops see the Product Guide on page 4. Decorate as desired.
Half recessed installation
- This installation is optimized for a 2×4 framed wall. Prepare the framed opening according to the chart on page 7. *Provide appropriatededicated circuit for hardwire install at the top right of framed opening.
- Install L Metal Nailing Flanges to the fi replace.
- Install the fi re unit in the framed opening with a minimum 1 ¼ drywall screws to secure the unit.
- Mask the exposed fi re unit during the drywall process. Install drywall to the perimeter of the fi re box. The unit can be covered with a custom facade. Decorate as desired.
Installing Media and Front Glass
- Before installing the front glass, evenly spread out the acrylic crystals along the ember bed.
- Place the logs on top of the acrylic crystals.
- The front glass can now be installed using the included suction cup. After placing the front glass it can be secured with screws.
OPERATION
The unit has a main power switch just in front of the glass on the top right hand side. A hand-held remote is included.
- Power This will cycle the machine on and off . Upon cycling power on, the machine will return to the settings it had when it was cycled off .
- Reset If the fi replace is on, this button will act as a reset and bring all colors back to the default Modern Flames’ signature color.
- Heat This will cycle the heater between high, low and off .
- Fade All zones of the fi replace will cycle through various demo modes – 7 & 3 color gradient/fade, 7 & 3 color jump, red/green/ blue gradient.
- Sync Pressing the sync button will change all the colors of the fi replace (Flame, Ember Bed and Downlight) to match the current color of the fl ame setting.
- Flame This is a zone setting. Touching this button will allow you to change the color and brightness of the fl ame by using the color wheel and brightness slider.
- Ember Bed This is a zone setting that controls the color and brightness of the ember bed.
- Downlight This is a zone setting that controls the color and brightness of the downlight.
- Color Wheel This will cycle the selected zone through the colors of the color spectrum.
- Brightness Slider This will adjust the brightness of the selected zone.
Pairing remote/wall mounted touch control:
- With the fi replace ON press and hold the Power button for about 3 seconds until you hear the buzzer sound twice and the power indicators begin to fl ash.
- Within 5 seconds on the hand held remote or wall touch control press the Power button repeatedly until the buzzer sounds again and the indicators fl ash acknowledging that it has paired. You may also hear another buzzer and the pair is now completed.
- Pairing must be done within 5 seconds or the fi replace will time out of pairing mode.
- To clear any paired remotes from the unit, locate then press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds.
You should hear a buzzer letting you know the codes have been cleared so you
can now pair a newremote or wall touch control. (The reset is located next to
the manual controls and can be pressed with a paper clip.)

When the switch turns on, this orange pilot lamp turns on. It shows the fi re is energized.
The status light above shows that the power is on and the heater is on low.

of the glass on the top right side.

- A. Long press on the up and down arrows on the fi re unit to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
- Q. What distance can the remote be used from the fi replace?
- A. Optimal distance for the remote control is maximum 20 feet.
- Q. Can you turn on the fi replace via the manual control and off via the remote (or vise versa)?
- A. Yes.
- Q. Can the fi replace be installed outside?
- A. No. Please review the entire safety chapter before installing this fi replace.
- Q. Does the fi replace need to be on a dedicated 20 amp circuit?
- A. Yes.
- Q. What thickness of sheetrock should be used for the recessed installation?
- A. 1/2” or 5/8”, thinner is recommended for tile façade.
- Q. How often do the batteries in the remote need to be replaced?
- A. Annually, possibly more with heavy use.
- Q. Is there a remote receiver in the fi replace that requires batteries?
- A. No, only the actual remote requires batteries. The rest of the fi replace runs entirely off of the main power supply.
- Q. How do I reset the unit?
- A. Turn power off at the breaker for 1 minute.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
There is very little maintenance involved with your electric fi replace. Please follow the few points below:
- On a semi-annual basis unplug the machine from it’s power source, wait for the heating element to cool and dust the fi re unit with a dry cloth. Be careful not to brush any wires that may be exposed as you do this.
- To clean the glass face of the fi replace simply use your desired glass cleaner with paper towels.
- To clean the air inlets/outlets, wipe with a soft cloth or the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner
- Dust can easily build up around the heater area inside the fi re unit, on the left and right sides. Take particular care to clean this area on a regular basis to prevent buildup.
- For long periods of inactivity, please unplug the fi replace and ensure the surrounding area remains dry.

Multiview Wifi Instructions
For Android Users
- Get started by downloading the Modern Flames app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. New users will need to register. Existing users can log in.
- Android App is labeled as the name to the left in the store.
- You will be able to add device by pressing the ‘+’ on the top right or on the main button in the middle.
- Click on ‘Search for Device’ at the top of screen. -Note the ‘Modify Wi-Fi Config button at the bottom, press to insert Wi-Fi information and change to 2.4ghz.
- Insert Wi-Fi info at the bottom and change network to 2.4 ghz. Once entered hit ‘Confirm’ you will move onto the nextstep.
- When you are back on this image locate the controls on the fireplace.
- Turn on unit with power button. Then press and hold the third button, light control, for a few seconds.
- You will hear an audible beep, release button and the lights will begin flashing.
- Once flashing press ‘Confirm Indicator Rapidly Blink’ button.
- At this point the unit and mobile device should be linked. And the fireplace will turn back on. Select ‘Next’ to finish synching. This may take a few seconds.
- The next screen should give you access to the remote that will control this fireplace.
- You will have light control, color and dim.
- Thermostat control for the heat along with high and low settings.
- Dim and bright are controlled by the power bar in the middle.
- Each light zone is controlled at the top and they can sync together aswell.
Multiview Wifi Instructions
For iPhone and IOS users
- Get started by downloading the Modern Flames app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. New users will need to register. Existing users can log in.
- Enter your login information and click Log in.
- You will be able to add device by pressingthe ‘+’ on the top right or on the main button in the middle.
- Click on the ‘Auto Scan’ button at the top and the radar will begin pulsating. Note the ‘Modify Wi-Fi Config’ button at the bottom, press to insert Wi- Fi information and change to 2.4ghz.
- Insert Wi-Fi info at the bottom and change network to 2.4 ghz. Once entered hit ‘Confirm’ and you will be brought back to the radar screen.
- Once back at the radar screen. Turn power on and press and hold, for a few seconds, the light control button on the top right-hand side of the unit.
- You will hear an audible beep and the flame image should begin to flash a few times. Then the unit will power off. Wait a few more seconds.
- At this point the unit and mobile device should be linked. And the fireplace will turn back on. Select ‘Next’ to finish synching.
- The next screen should give you access to the remote that will control this fireplace.
