Before Plugging In

  • If the refrigerator has been placed in a horizontal or tilted position for any period, wait 24 hours before plugging the unit in.
  • Unit must be plugged into a 3-prong grounded outlet. It is recommended that a separate circuit serving only the product be used.
  • Do not use with extension cords.
  • Remove all packaging material including tape and foam.
  • Place on a flat, hard floor surface.
  • Keep away from extreme heat and cold settings, including heavy moisture environments.
  • Provide a minimum clearance behind the refrigerator of 2” for proper air circulation.
  • Make sure door is properly aligned and gasket seal around door is securely sealed when in closed position.

When Starting Refrigerator / After Plugging In

  • Turn the thermostat dial to an initial setting of “7” (Highest setting) for 15-20 minutes.
  • The setting of “4” should be appropriate for normal operation in home or office use.

Troubleshooting/FAQs

Unit is not working properly:

  • Turning the temperature to “0” position will shut off the cooling cycle but does not turn off the electrical power to the unit.
  • Wait 3-5 minutes before restarting if you unplug the refrigerator. The unit may fail to operate properly if restarted too quickly.
  • Overloading the refrigerator forces the compressor to run longer and thus increases energy consumption.

Refrigerator is not cold enough:

  • If the ambient temperature is too high, the refrigerator may not reach the desired target temperature.
  • Large amounts of food will lower the cooling efficiency of the appliance.
  • Do not place the foods on the air outlet; leave spaces for airflow.
  • If you choose to change the thermostat setting, adjust thermostat control one increment at a time. Allow several hours for temperature to stabilize between adjustments.
  • Door may not be securely closed. Make sure gasket seal is secure for proper sealed closure.
