If a new cylinder has just been connected, please allow at least one minute
for the air in the gas pipeline to purge out through the pilot hole.
When lighting the pilot flame, make sure that the variable control knob is
continuously pressed down while pressing the igniter button. The variable
control knob can be released after the pilot flame lights.
Pilot flame can be watched and checked from the small round window with
sliding lid located at the bottom of the flame screen (to the left or right
side of the controller).
If the pilot flame does not light or it goes out, repeat step 3.

- Never store liquid gas cylinders in a sub-terrain, or at places without adequate air ventilation.
Cleaning and care
- Wipe off powder coated surfaces with soft, moist rag. Do not clean heater with cleaners that are combustible or corrosive.
- Remove debris from the burner to keep it clean and safe for use.
- Cover the burner unit with the optional protective cover when the heater is not in use.
Assembly
Please refer to the component overview at the back of these user instructions.
Fit the clamps to the base using 3 screws (C).
Fit the reinforcement brackets (F) to the base using 2 screws, 2 washers and 2 nuts (G) each.
Fit the column to each of the 3 clamps using 2 screws, 2 washers and 2 nuts (B).
Place the cabinet over the column and down onto the base.
Place the gas supply pipe into the column and secure the pipe to the burner head using the coupling nut.
Screw the burner head securely to the column using the screws that are already fitted to the burner head.
Insert 1 washer (E), 1 thread piece (A) and 1 washer (E) securely into each hole at the top of the burner head.
Carefully remove the protective foil from the reflector screen components.
Screw the reflector screen components together using 9 screws, 9 washers and 9 cap nuts (I).
Place the reflector screen down over the thread pieces (A) on the burner head and secure it using 3 washers (E) and 3 wing nuts (D).
Lift the cabinet up and push it back slightly so that it rests on the clamps and screw the hose with the regulator to the gas supply pipe.
The patio heater is now assembled.
Connecting the gas bottle
Lift the cabinet up and push it back slightly so that it rests on the clamps.
Pull the regulator collar up and place it down on the gas bottle valve.
Now press the collar down fully so that it clearly locks securely to the gas bottle.
The regulator must be tight so that it is possible to lift the gas bottle just by holding on to the regulator.
Note: This does not apply to the Swedish regulator, which simply screws to the gas bottle.
Ignition
Turn the gas bottle regulator to the open position, so that the flame symbol is facing upwards.
Press the adjustment button and turn it anticlockwise to the dot after the “PILOT” position (see the arrow in the illustration).
- Turn the adjustment button to this and hold it in for at least 30 seconds before pressing the igniter button.
Hold the adjustment button in for approximately 30 seconds.
Continue to hold the adjustment button and press the IGNITER button repeatedly
until the pilot comes on.
Once the pilot is lit, hold the adjustment button for a further 30 seconds.
You can see the pilot through the small window at the bottom of the burner
(next to the control panel).
Then turn the adjustment button to HI (maximum heat output) so that the pilot
lights the burner, and allow the patio heater to heat up for 5 minutes.
Once the patio heater has warmed up, turn the adjustment button to the
required heat setting between HI (maximum) and LO (minimum).
If the pilot will not come on, try again or follow the instructions under
Troubleshooting.
Note!
On first use or after changing the gas bottle, turn the adjustment button to
the dot after the PILOT position and hold it in for 3-4 minutes before trying
to ignite the patio heater. This is because the gas will have to press the air
out of the pipe system before the pilot can be lit.
Always remember to hold the adjustment button in when pressing the igniter
button.
Switching off
Turn the adjustment button to the PILOT position.
Press the adjustment button in and turn it to the OFF position.
Turn the gas bottle regulator to the closed position, so that the flame symbol
is facing downwards.
Storage
Always close the gas bottle regulator after use or in the event of
malfunction.
Remove the regulator from the gas bottle.
The patio heater may only be stored indoors if the gas bottle has been
disconnected and removed from the heater. Store the patio heater in a dry
location sheltered from the wind and rain.
Never store gas bottle underground or in locations with inadequate
ventilation.
Cleaning and maintenance
Do not clean the patio heater with combustible, abrasive or corrosive
cleaners.
Powder-coated surfaces must be wiped using a damp, soft cloth.
Regularly brush the burner head with a clean, soft brush.
If necessary, purchase a cover for the patio heater so that it can be
protected against the weather, wind and dust.
Specific information on stainless steel
Despite the name, the most common forms of stainless steel can rust if the
surroundings allow for the formation of chromium oxide. In those
circumstances, the iron in the alloy will start to rust and then it will be
difficult to stop. This particularly happens when there is salt in the air,
such as near the coast.
Stainless steel surfaces should be cleaned with a damp coarse kitchen sponge
and a little detergent. Make sure to polish the steel in the grain direction,
not in circular movements, and not in alternating directions. Then dry the
surfaces with a lint-free cloth dampened with lukewarm water so they dry more
quickly without streaks.
Then, if necessary, wipe with a cloth dipped in paraffin oil or WD40 to give
the stainless steel a protective film.
Cleaning the gas supply pipe
If the patio heater is not used for a prolonged period of time, dust, dirt and
insects can block the gas supply pipe and the openings at the pilot and
burner.
If this happens, remove the burner head and gas supply pipe.
Press and hold the adjustment button and blow the pipe clean using compressed
air.
Refit the parts.
Connect the gas bottle and open the regulator.
Turn the adjustment button to the dot after the PILOT position and hold it in
for 3-4 minutes before trying to ignite the patio heater.
