Instructions for use
CONTROL UNIT
For an optimal and efficient use of the product, it is recommended that you switch on the hood a few minutes before you start cooking and keep it on for at least 15 minutes after you have finished or until the steam and odours have been completely eliminated. The following types of controls can be found on the front of the hood:

Button functions
Hood OFF button. (If the fan and the lights are on).
1 Speed 1 button. Lights up when the motor is running at speed 1.
2 Speed 2 button. Lights up when the motor is running at speed 2.
3 Speed 3 button. Lights up when the motor is running at speed 3.
Turbo speed button. Lights up when the motor is running at speed 4. The motor
switches from speed 4 to speed 3 after about 7 minutes. When the Turbo
function is active, the button flashes and the timer function is not active.
Lights On/Off button. Illuminated when the light is on.
1 – 2 – 3 Pressing these buttons twice activates the timer. The timer
function can only be activated when the fan motor is on. Once activated, a
10-minute timer starts, when the time elapses, the motor stops and the light
switches off. The button flashes during this time. The timer can be cancelled
by touching the same button.
Light brightness adjustment
Briefly touching the button immediately switches the lights on or off.
Touching and holding this button for more than 1 second gradually increases
the brightness to the maximum level and then decreases it to the minimum level
as long as the button is pressed. Release the button once you have obtained
the required brightness. This level of brightness will be saved in the non-
volatile memory so that it will be set each time the light is switched on by
tapping the button once. Tapping the light button twice when the light is off
will set it to maximum brightness. It is factory set to maximum brightness.
Filter alarm reset
After 100 hours of hood operation, buttons 1 , 2 , 3 will start to
flash to remind you to clean the filters. To reset this warning, press the
On/Off button for 5 seconds, the light of the On/Off button will flash once to
indicate that the filter time has been reset.
24h air exchange function
The 24h air exchange function allows you to clean the air in the room. To
start the 24 hour function, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. The
extraction hood will run at minimum speed for 10 minutes every hour (up to a
maximum of 24 hours). The 1 and buttons will flash as long as the function is
active. Briefly touching any button (apart from the button) will disable the
function.

Touch Technology
The unit uses capacitive sensors to detect the touch of the button on the
front glass panel.
Lighting
When power is turned on, the unit will be in the off mode. Only the button is
illuminated (low brightness). After touching the button, the unit will go into
Stand-By mode and all buttons will be dimly lit. In Stand-by mode, the user
can activate any function that is allowed by the operating logic. The button
of the active function will be brightly lit.
Button functions

2 Speed 2 button. Lights up when the motor is running at speed 2.
3 Speed 3 button. Lights up when the motor is running at speed 3.
Turbo speed button. Lights up when the motor is running at speed 4. The motor
switches from speed 4 to speed 3 after about 7 minutes. When the Turbo
function is active, the button flashes and the timer function is not active.
24h air exchange function button. Lights up when the motor is running at speed
- Briefly touching activates motor speed one and extracts air for 10 minutes
every hour for 24 hours. Press the button again to disable it.
Automatic switch-off button. The button is illuminated while the fan is in operation at the selected speed (1-2-3). Briefly touching activates the automatic switch-off delay of 15 minutes. Suitable for eliminating residual odours. It can be activated at fan speeds 1, 2 or 3. It is disabled by pressing the button or by switching off the fan.
F Filter alarm reset button. The alarm is activated after 100 hours of actual hood operation. When the filter alarm is on, pressing the F button for about 3 seconds resets the alarm. If there is no filter alarm, pressing the F button has no effect (apart from the light colour temperature adjustment function below). Before resetting the alarm signal, the activated charcoal filters have to be replaced and the metal grease filters should be cleaned.
Lights On/Off button. Illuminated when the light is on.
1-2-3 Pressing these buttons twice activates the timer. The timer function can only be activated when the fan motor is on. Once activated, a 10-minute timer starts, when the time elapses, the motor stops and the light switches off. The button flashes during this time. The timer can be cancelled by touching the same button.
Light brightness adjustment
Briefly touching the button immediately switches the lights on or off. Touching and holding this button for more than 1 second gradually increases the brightness to the maximum level and then decreases it to the minimum level as long as the button is pressed. Release the button once you have obtained the required brightness. This level of brightness will be saved in the non- volatile memory so that it will be set each time the light is switched on by tapping the button once. Tapping the light button twice when the light is off will set it to maximum brightness. It is factory set to maximum brightness.
Light colour temperature adjustment
Touch F again, touch and hold the button for at least 1 second to activate the light colour temperature adjustment function. The temperature of the light changes gradually and circularly from cold to warm. Release the button once the required colour temperature has been obtained. This colour temperature will be saved in the non-volatile memory so that it will be used each time the light is switched on by tapping the button once.
GHOST function
When this product is turned off, only the button remains illuminated (at low
brightness). If the button is pressed, the hood will be set to standby and all
buttons will light up with a brightness of 5%. When in standby, if a function
is activated, the relative button will light up with 100% brightness. If you
press the button, the hood returns to standby mode and all buttons will light
up with a brightness of 5%.
Filter alarm reset
After 100 hours of hood operation, buttons 1,2,3 will start to flash to
remind you to clean the filters. To reset this warning, press the On/Off
button for 5 seconds, the light of the On/Off button will flash once to
indicate that the filter time has been reset.
24h air exchange function
The 24h air exchange function allows you to clean the air in the room. To
start the 24 hour function, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. The

maximum of 24 hours). The 1 and buttons will flash as long as the function
is active. Briefly touching any button (apart from the button) will disable
the function.
Hob and hood connection
Automatic operation specifications – Auto-Vent 2.0
Some models are provided with a wireless communication system to allow them to
be controlled automatically via an induction hob.
Automatic switch-on
When the hob is switched on, the hood switches on if it is in STANDBY mode
(all buttons illuminated at low brightness).
Operation in automatic mode
Automatic mode of operation is shown on the hood user interface as follows.
For example, if the fan motor is operating at speed 2 and the appliance is in
automatic mode:

When the hob is switched off, the hood switches to STANDBY mode (all buttons
illuminated at low brightness).

Automatic / manual operation
If the hood is operating in automatic mode and the customer changes some hood
parameters via the user interface, automatic mode will be disabled and the
hood will no longer respond to the Auto-Vent 2.0 command from the hob.
To re-enable automatic mode, the hood first has to be set to OFF and then to
STANDBY mode.
CONTROLS ON THE REMOTE CONTROL
ON-OFF BUTTON: Press this button to enter Stand-By Mode while device is
already in Off Mode. Then, all buttons are illuminated in low brightness
manner. Press this button again to turn back to the Off Mode, while device is
in Stand-By Mode or any Active Mode.
LAMP ON-OFF BUTTON: Press this button to turn on or turn off the lamp
quickly. Pressing the Lamp On-Off Button twice as the lamp is OFF, it will
turn on the lamp in maximum brightness.
24H BUTTON: Pressing this button activates the motor at the first speed
and allows extraction for 10 minutes every hours for 24 hours. Press this
button again to disable the function.
MINUS BUTTON: Pressing this button decreases the fan speed of the device
until it reaches speed1.
PLUS BUTTON: Pressing this button increases the fan speed of the device
until it reaches speed4 (Boost Speed).
DELAY FUNCTION: Pressing this button activates the automatic shutdown
delay of 10 minutes. This function can only be activated at speed 1, 2 or 3.
You can disable this function by pressing this button again while function is
already active.
LAMP DIMMING: Pressing and holding this button starts gradually
increasing the light level up to maximum and then, decreasing down to minimum
level in a repeating manner, as long as the button is hold touched. When
desired light level is obtained, please release the button. Then, this light
level will be recorder in nonvolatile memory, so that every time the lamp is
turned on, this light level will be valid. (To activate this functionality,
you have to turn on the lamp first)
TUNABLE WHITE: Pressing and holding this button is activates tunable
white functionality. Light temperature gradually changes from cold to warm and
come back in a repeated manner. When desired light temperature is obtained,
please release the button. Then, this light temperature will be recorded in
nonvolatile memory, so that every time the lamp is turned on, this light
temperature will be valid. (To activate this functionality, you have to turn
on the lamp first)
