S R Smith ES-XER EnergySaver Pool Covers

S-R-Smith-ES-XER-EnergySaver-Pool-Covers -PRODUCT

Product Information

The product is a pool cover manufactured by S.R.Smith, LLC. It is designed to be used for the protection and maintenance of swimming pools. The cover comes in multiple panels that need to be assembled and deployed over the pool. The cover is made of durable material to withstand wind and abrasion. It also includes warning labels for safety purposes.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before unpacking the cover(s), check the packaging material for panel size and number indications to determine where each cover should be placed based on the pool’s size and configuration. Be careful when opening packages to avoid cutting the covers inside.
  2. If any signs of freight damage are found on the package, do not open it. Instead, refuse delivery and contact the freight company for inspection. Failure to note damages upon delivery may result in the loss of the right to file a claim for compensation.
  3. When deploying the cover, avoid pulling it too fast as it may cause the leading edge to dive and become difficult to pull. This can also create a dangerous situation for personnel at the other end of the pool.
  4. Once the cover is fully unrolled, grab the corner pull-point (which is the strongest) and position the cover properly on the pool. Do not overlap covers, as overlapped covers are susceptible to wind.
  5. Ensure that all warning labels are clearly legible and visible from the deck and around the pool’s perimeter. Contact S.R.Smith if any warning labels are missing or torn, as legible and securely attached labels are necessary for safety.
  6. When retrieving covers for storage, pull from one of the corner pull-points and then move towards the center of the cover. Hook up the dowel to the center tab on the reel to secure it. Avoid folding and creasing covers by connecting all available dowels to the reel tabs.
  7. To prevent abrasion, roll the cover(s) evenly onto the reel, avoiding a “telescopic” effect. Secure the rolled-up covers by attaching cordage around them.
  8. Once all covers are safely stored on the reel, use a protective cover to shield it from harmful UV exposures. It is important to regularly use protective materials for all covers stored on the reels to maintain warranty requirements.
  9. Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 when deploying the covers onto the pool.

SAFETY FIRST!!!
ALWAYS OBSERVE ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND PRACTICES BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO ASSEMBLE POOL COVER(S).

INSTRUCTION STEPS

  1. Before unpacking cover(s), please note panel size and number written on the packaging material that would suggest where to place the individual cover relative to the size and configuration of the pool. Be careful not to cut covers inside when attempting to open packages.
IMPORTANT : LOOK FOR SIGNS OF FREIGHT DAMAGE.
If one is found, DO NOT OPEN the package, refuse delivery and call the freight company for inspection. Signing for product without noting damages will result in loss of right to file claim for compensation.

  2. Pool covers are shipped from the factory rolled lengthwise then folded in half and placed inside the shipping crate. After discarding all packing materials and unfolding the pool cover, attach a tow rope onto the center pull-point of the leading edge of the cover and place cover into the pool. Slowly pull on the attached tow-rope to unfurl the cover and pull it across the pool surface. It might take two people to assist in unrolling the cover as it is pulled across the pool surface until it reaches the opposite end.
Note : If covers must be deployed over existing lane lines, beware of broken/jagged lane lines that may cause heavy abrasion and premature tear on the cover.
    IMPORTANT
Pulling cover too fast will cause the leading edge to dive and hard to pull and also create a DANGEROUS situation for personnel at other end.

  3. Once cover is fully unrolled, grab the corner pull-point (Note: corner pull-point is the strongest) and properly position cover on the pool. Do not overlap covers. Overlapped covers are susceptible to wind.

  4. Make sure all “Warning” labels are clearly legible and visible from the deck and around the perimeter of the pool
    IMPORTANT
Call S.R.Smith for missing or torn “WARNING” labels. For SAFETY, labels must be legible and securely attached to all covers at all times.

  5. When retrieving covers off the pool for storage, please pull from one of the corner pull-point and then move on toward the center of the cover and hook up the dowel to the center tab on the reel. Avoid folding and creasing covers by connecting all available dowels to the reel tabs. S-R-Smith-ES-XER-EnergySaver-Pool-Covers -FIG- \(3\)

  6. Prevent abrasion by rolling cover(s) evenly onto the reel, avoiding ‘telescopic’ effect. Secure it by attaching cordage around the rolled-up covers.

  7. Once all covers are safely stored on the reel, be sure to use a protective cover to shield it from harmful Ultra Violet exposures.
Note : our warranty requires the regular use of protective materials for all covers stored on the reels.

  8. Repeat process # 2, 3, and 4 when deploying covers onto the pool.
