Carefully separate all parts from the two plywood boards and smooth
out the remains of the retaining webs. First, glue the two magnets into the
holder E and the cover D. To do this, roughen the sides of the magnet and
degrease the two magnets well. Coat the hole and the magnet with epoxy glue
and press the magnets into the holes. Make sure that the two magnets really
attract each other. The magnet must be flush on the underside of the cover, as
well as on one side of the holder E. Glue the component F to the underside of
the holder E, The component F serves to protect the magnet from falling out of
the holder. Wipe off any adhesive that has swollen out.
Insert
the two bars 2 and 3 into one side panel A and then put the second side panel
A on top. Pay attention to the orientation of the parts. Now parts 1 and 4 can
be attached to the sides.
When everything fits together well, you can put on the
floor B. Check that there are no gaps and that everything is at right angles
to each other. Now you can glue the box with superglue. Insert the magnet
holder E and glue it with super glue. Sand the top of the box flat. Make sure
that you do not scratch the magnet.
Glue the two side walls C and wall 5 with white glue.
Staple the walls to the box and wipe off any glue that has come out.
Glue the
top cover E into the box with white glue. On the magnet side, you must clip
the cover to the box.
Wipe off any excess white glue and take particular care that no glue gets into
the guide of the cover.
Test whether the lid can be easily pushed into the box.
Without a handle component (DR), it is very difficult to push the lid out of
the box because the magnets hold the lid very tightly. You can put a string
around the lid with which you can pull the lid forward again. If the lid is
difficult to slide out, you can grind the lid thinner on the underside. Pay
attention to the magnet.
Glue the handle DR onto the lid D. If the magnet protrudes
slightly upwards from the lid, you can grind a recess in the handle DR. Sand
all protrusions on the outside of the box flat. You can round off the corners
and edges slightly so that the box feels better in your hand.
Finally,
you can paint the wooden surface with quicks ANDing primer or another surface
treatment.
In flight testing, the following use of the ballast weights has proven to be effective:

The use of ballast is very much dependent on local conditions such as slope shape and apron, and on one‘s own habits and desires.
