1| Taking a seawater sample
Take 5 ml of water from the aquarium with a syringe and pour it into the
vial.|

2| Adding KH Reagent 1
Shake the KH Reagent 1 pipette, then add 2 drops of the liquid to the test
vial. Carefully stir the solution with circular motions.
The liquid in the test tube should turn green.|
3a| Drawing KH Reagent 2
Put the dispensing needle on a1 ml syringe.|
3b| Drawing KH Reagent 2
Draw in 1 ml of KH Reagent 2 liquid. The tip of the plunger should indicate
exactly 1 ml.
NOTE: the air between the fluid and the plunger does not affect the
validity of the test.|
4| Dosing KH Reagent 2
Using the syringe with the dispensing needle, drop by drop, add KH Reagent 2
directly to the liquid in the tube so, so that there is no fluid left on the
walls.
After each drop, stir the tube and observe the color change.|
5| Transition and final color
The green solution will gradually begin to change color to a transitional
color – grey-brown. When you notice, that the liquid has become amaranth
(violet) – stop dripping.|
6| Reading and recording the result
Read the value of remaining KH Reagent 2 liquid in the syringe as indicated by
the syringe plunger. Compare it with the chart of results and/or enter it into
the user panel in Smart Reef.| 
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place in a tightly closed original packaging. In the temperature range of 5°C to 25°C. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep the product away from children. KH Smart test kit should be used up to 3 months of opening.
