*For Safety:
- Please ensure that the steering system and folding system are working properly, and the components are tightly secured.
- Check whether the wheel axle is fastened to the body to ensure that the wheel can rotate normally and the brake system can work normally.
- Please check the tire pressure before riding. It is recommended that the tire pressure be between 45-50psi.
- Check the wear of the tires and brake pads.
- Please wear the helmet and protectors well before riding.
*For New users (Limited Speed):
Considering the safety of the first ride, please bind the NIU e-scooter to the
app and finish the tutorial video firstly, and you need to ride it for a while
(about 500 meters or 0.4 miles) to unlock the max speed, or it will stay at a
top 15mph limited speed.
*For Cruise Control: (The feature is unfortunately illegal in many countries, we have considered adding this feature, but for now, you can use this feature as the methods below) Android User:

IOS User:
Method 1:
Cruise control can be activated on the NIU KQi3 Pro eScooter (North America
version) by holding/maintaining the same speed for approximately 5+ seconds.
An audible beep will sound and you can release the throttle and cruise without
any input. To deactivate, hit the brakes or throttle again.
Method 2:
- You need a China mainland Apple ID and switched to that account for your AppStore.(Either you have a China mainland phone number or google is your best friend.)
- Then open and search for NIU or install it, the interface is similar, you need to register another account for this app, change the language to English and you have both cruise control and a non-zero start option to enable.
- After enabling it you can disconnect Bluetooth and reconnect to your us apple id and app, and enjoy your fully enabled scooter.
*Switch Riding Modes:
To switch between E-Save and Sport modes, press the power button once;
To activate the pedestrian mode, press the power button 5 times;
To create a custom mode, use the NIU app.
