OmniMask Narwall Mask User Guide
Putting on your mask
- Place OmniMask over your nose and mouth, then pull headgear over the crown of your head.
- Attach the lower end of the straps behind your neck.
- If this is your first time putting on your mask, adjust the length of each strap to fit using the tri-glide buckles. If there is significant excess material, you can trim it with scissors. We recommend using a heat source to seal the end of the fresh cut to prevent fraying over time.
- First on one side and then the other, reach behind the side filters and pull some of the strap length from the headgear area to the neck section. The pressure in the headgear area and neck sections should feel balanced and very light when the straps are properly adjusted.
Checking the fit and seal
- Cover the exhale valve with the palm of your hand and exhale gently.
- If OmniMask bulges slightly you have a proper fit.
- If the faceseal leaks, reposition OmniMask on your face and re-adjust the strap tension strap to eliminate leakage.
Drinking and eating without removing your mask
- Press the button at the nape of the neck to release the lower straps.
- You can now pull the mask up over your face temporarily while getting food or drink.
- Reattach the straps when done and readjust upper/lower length if needed.
Removing your mask
- Press the button at the nape of the neck to release the two straps.
- Lift the mask and headgear from your face and head.
Replacing Filters
- Replace filters if breathing resistance increases or if they become soiled or damaged.
- To replace, untwist the cap of the filter assembly.
- Remove and replace the filter with a fresh, clean filter.
- Replace the cap and twist until secure.
Cleaning and Sterilizing Omnimask
- Remove filters and straps.
- To clean and sterilized by dishwasher, separate filter assemblies from mask and place all components on top racks of the dishwasher. After a normal cycle with dishwasher detergent, allow parts to dry and then reassemble.
Long-term Storage of your mask
- OmniMask ships in a reclosable polybag. For long-term storage, re-seal your mask in the original bag and keep out of direct sunlight in a cool, dry area.
- Always clean and sterilize your mask after use before putting in long-term storage.
Important notes
- Do not use mask with facial hair or other obstructions that prevent a good seal to your face.
- Service life of filters depends on activity of wearer and environmental conditions. Replace filters if breathing resistance increases noticeable or if the filters become soiled or damaged.
