OPERATION

  1.  Mickey requires 2 AA batteries (Not included) to operate. Use alkaline batteries only (e.g. Duracell or Energizer brand). Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of batteries because they supply lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. 3. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw. The ON/OFF has been glued in place do to switch adaption. We have included a stand to use with Mickey so that you can sit him up when using a switch. There is Velcro on the back of Mickey to hold him in place on the stand. There is also a cutout at the base of the stand to put his tail and switch cable through.
  4. Connect Mickey to any external capability switch (not included) via the jack located at the end of his cord, Mickey is equipped with a 1/8″ jack for use with external capability switches with a 1/8″ plug. Make sure to plug your switch all the way in. There should be no gaps.
  5. Press his hand or use your external capability switch (not included) and Mickey’s shirt lights up and he signs a song! Choose from Hot Dog Song Mickey or Wiggle Giggle Song Mickey. Each press of his hand or switch activation will start or stop the song at that moment. A second activation will start the song from where it was stopped.
  6. When finished using disconnect your switch to prevent false activations and to prevent battery drain.

Troubleshooting:

Problem: Mickey does not function correctly.

  • Action #1: Replace the batteries paying close attention to proper battery polarity.
  • Action #2: Make sure that the connection between the external capability switch and the jack is pushed in all the way. There should be NO gaps.
  • Action #3: Try your switch with another switch operated toy/device in an effort to rule out your switch as the source of the problems.

Care of Unit:

  • If you will not be using Mickey for an extended amount of time, we recommend removing the batteries.
  • Do not submerge the unit in water, as it will damage the electrical components. Mickey is surface washable only.
