Product Information
The IN-14/IN-8-2/Z573M/IN-8 Nixie Desktop Clock is a clock that features Nixie tubes, which are specific to the purchased model. It comes with a clock base with mounted Nixie tubes, a 12V 1A power adapter with a 5.5mm X 2.1mm jack, an IR remote control, and a built-in motion sensor module based on Doppler radar. The clock also includes a product manual for reference.
The clock has various settings and adjustments that can be made using either the knob on the rear of the clock or the IR remote control. The knob can be pressed to change through menu items and twisted to change the values. The IR remote control has buttons for menu navigation, changing values, changing color schemes of RGB lights, and turning the clock on and off.
Additionally, the clock has LED RGB lights under each Nixie tube, allowing for adjustable colors and custom brightness. It also has alarm settings, general settings, time/date settings, and sleep settings.
Product Usage Instructions
Unboxing
- Open the package containing the clock.
- Inside the package, you will find:
- 1 Clock base with mounted Nixie tubes (specific to purchased model).
- 1 12V 1A power adapter with a 5.5mm X 2.1mm jack.
- 1 IR remote control.
- 1 Built-in motion sensor module (based on Doppler radar).
- 1 Product manual.
Powering up
- Locate the power socket on the rear panel of the clock.
- Plug in the 12V 2.1mm x 5.5mm power jack into the power socket.
- Turn on the power.
- The clock will perform a brief self-test, scrolling through digits from 0-9 and making a short beep.
- Note: Some tubes may take a few seconds to warm up and stabilize after being off, which may cause flickering.
Settings and Adjustments
- There are two ways to adjust the clock’s settings:
- Using the knob on the rear of the clock:
- Press the knob once to change through menu items.
- Twist the knob to change the values.
- Using the IR remote control:
- Press the OK button to act as a menu button and change the current menu setting.
- Press the up/right arrows to increase the current value.
- Press the down/left arrows to decrease the values.
- Press the 0-9 buttons to change the color scheme of RGB lights.
- Press the * button to turn off the clock.
- Press the # button to switch on the clock.
Sleep Settings
To prolong the life of the Nixie tubes, you can set the clock to sleep when not required. The sleep feature works using 24-hour time values. For best results, set the clock into 24H mode (menu option 12). To disable the sleep feature, set the start value equal to the end value.

Unboxing
All nixieshop.com clocks are shipped as carefully as possible to ensure safe
delivery to you. In the unlikely event that the clock does arrive damaged, or
if you have any questions at all about using the product, please contact me on
petro.vodopyan@gmail.com.
Carefully remove the clock from the box when unboxing this product. The clock is protected with a plastic sleeve to secure tubes during shipping – the nixie tubes are installed into sockets, and should be handled with care. Sometimes tubes may require realignment after shipping – they all are in sockets and could be aligned by hand.
WARNING: Please note that this clock is for indoor use only.

Warranty
- Nixieshop.com values your business and always attempts to provide you the very best quality of service. We provide lifetime warranty for electronics and two year warranty for tubes. The warranty applies only to the products manufactured by Nixie Shop.
- The warranty covers burned out tubes (up to three), problems with the electronics of the clock. The warranty does not cover: 12V external power supply, damage of a product resulting from negligence; damage of a product resulting from unauthorized modification of the product; damage caused by natural disaster; theft or loss of the product.
Powering up
On the rear panel of the clock there is a power socket for 12V 2.1mm x 5.5mm
power jack. Plugging in and turning on the power, the clock will perform a
brief self-test to confirm its operational. The digits on the clock will
scroll through from 0-9, and then the clock will make a short beep. Some of
the tubes may take several seconds to “warm up” and stabilize after being off
and may flicker (especially IN-8, IN-8-2 and IN-14 with fine anode grid).
Seettings and Adjustments
There are two ways to adjust the various settings of the clock
The knob on the rear of the clock OK. Pressing it in once changes the menu
items, and twisting it changes the values.
Using the IR remote control. The “OK” button acts as a menu button and changes
the current menu setting, pressing the up/right arrows inc crre eases current
value and down/left decreases the values. The 0-9 arrows buttons change the
color scheme of RGB lights. The “*” acts as an OFF button and the “#” button
switches the clock ON. Feedback

Menu
The menu items on the next page are listed in the order that they will appear when going through them.
LED RGB Values
The clock has one RGB LED under each nixie tube. All colors are adjustable and
can be set to a custom brightness.

LED Red color brightness (0 – 20 levels).

LED Green color brightness (0 – 20 levels).

LED Blue color brightness (0 – 20 levels).
Alarm Settings -
Alarm mode: 1 – enable; 0 – disable.

Alarm start hour.

Alarm start minute.
WARNING: The clock will make short beep sound once it reaches the time. To stop the alarm rotate the knob.
General Settings -
Colon tube modes. 0 — blink (default), 1 — permanently ON, 2 — permanently OFF, 3 — sensor status (sensor testing mode see #24, ON when detects motion).

Beep once per hour, on the hour. (0 — disable (default); 1 — enable).

Slot machine frequency (1 – 5. Value is the interval in minutes. 0 – disable).

Spin changing numbers mode (0 — classic; 1 – scroll changing numbers; 2 — wave scrolling).

Animate RGB LED lights: 0 — none; 1 — linear; 2 — random.
Time/Date Settings -
12/24 hour mode. (0 — 24h mode (default); 1 — 12h mode).

Date display mode: 0 – DDMMYY; 1 – MMDDYY; 2 – YYMMDD.

Sleep Settings -
Set sleep starting hour – the clock displays ZZ:XX:YY (where XX is the value of the sleep start hour).

Set sleep ending hour – the clock displays ZZ:XX:YY (where YY is the value of the sleep end hour).

Display date at the end of period defined in setting #9 (1 – enable; 0 – disable).

Timeout for motion sensor (options from 1-5) – sets delay time from ~1 minute and longer.

Activates built in motion sensor (for versions 1.14 and later). (0 — disable (default); 1 — enable). Motion sensor also overrides the sleep timer (if activated).

Silent mode: 0 – disable; 1 – enable. Switches on/off buzzer.

Internal temperature in Celsius – system information (read only).

Firmware version (e.g. 00:01:19 is v1.19).
Setting the clock to sleep when not required can help to prolong the life of the Nixie tubes. The sleep feature works using 24 hour time values. For best results the clock should also be set into 24H mode (menu option 12). To disable sleep feature – set start value equal to end value .
